Angel Reese Responds to 2-Word Message From Mercury Star
The Chicago Sky are amid a well-earned break following a hard-fought win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday. Angel Reese once again played a pivotal role, scoring 11 crucial fourth-quarter points to help close out a 92-85 victory at Crypto.com Arena — a performance that capped off another dominant stretch for the second-year star.

Fresh off being named Eastern Conference Player of the Week, Reese is now preparing for the Sky's next challenge: a tough matchup against the Minnesota Lynx. Over the past week, she averaged 19.7 points, 17.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game — numbers that highlight just how far she's come since her rookie campaign.

Even with a week off from games, Reese's presence hasn't faded, as she continues to stay connected with fans and fellow players on social media.
On Friday, Phoenix Mercury star Kahleah Cooper posted a two-word message on X. Reese wasted no time responding affectionately, quoting the post with one of her own.

'I love youuuu & miss you grammyyyyy," she wrote.
Copper is well remembered in Chicago for her time with the Sky, where she won a WNBA championship and Finals MVP in 2021. While the two did not share the court as teammates, Reese has been public about her admiration and respect for the veteran.
As for Reese, her second season has been nothing short of remarkable, averaging 12.6 rebounds, 12.4 points and 3.8 assists in 16 games. She recently became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 500 points and 500 rebounds, hitting the milestone in just 38 games. This continued excellence earned her a second straight All-Star selection, reinforcing her status as one of the league's rising stars.
