Oasis to Limp Bizkit: Biggest gigs in August and how to buy tickets for them now
August is the beginning of the end for summer 2025. And while we have enjoyed a huge amount of incredible music this year, we're beginning to wind down into the colder months of solo headline tours and album releases.
With that said, we're not down and out just yet. Over the next few weeks, British music fans still have a plethora of massive artists performing around the country.
From Oasis and Coldplay to Chappell Roan and Shawn Mendes... there's a huge array of tastes and styles. And that's before you look closely at festival line-ups.
Below, we've listed the biggest and best names and festivals with concerts and shows across the UK this August. Tickets are still available from either resale website viagogo or retailer Ticketmaster - both of which are linked below.
viagogo and resale tickets
Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.
Oasis
Oasis are very much the talk of the town, at the moment - and with good reason. The Gallagher brothers have reunited to play some of the biggest shows of their career, and they have some gigs this month in Scotland - over the next week - to continue their Oasis Live '25 tour.
Tickets for these are readily available on resale website viagogo, while Ticketmaster has had some tickets come and go over the past few weeks. Here's the links:
Coldplay
After months of anticipation, Coldplay will be bringing their Music of the Spheres tour to the UK this month. And once they arrive, they'll be playing 12 shows across the country.
With two shows in Hull and ten in London, there are plenty of opportunities for fans to get involved with the band's iconic live sound. Be warned, however: the Jumbotron kiss-cam will be making an appearance, as well. So if you've got something to hide, maybe grab the cheap seats at the back.
Blackpink
The monumental pop band who previously took hold of BST Hyde Park are back - and this time, for some shows that are bigger than ever. On August 15 and 16, Blackpink will be residing over Wembley Stadium for two enormous shows.
Tickets for these are available right now with plenty of options left. And, what's more, they're cheaper than ever, with some tickets dropping to around £90 each.
VIAGOGO - Buy Blackpink tickets here.
TICKETMASTER - Buy Blackpink tickets here.

Shawn Mendes
Shawn Mendes' tour has sprawled the entirety of the world. And the final stop on his journey is in the UK.
Mendes is an artist who likes to do things well, and because of that, he's only playing one show in Great Britain this year, and it's at London's O2 Arena. Thankfully, there are tickets floating about - but act fast if you're keen.
Reading & Leeds Festival
Finally, as summer begins to wane, there are precious few festival experiences left in this year. Reading & Leeds festival 2025 will cap off August, taking over the bank holiday, with some massive artists on the docket.
From Bring Me The Horizon and Chappell Roan to Limp Bizkit and Hozier - this is a hugely varied line-up with some massive names. Tickets are still available with some exclusions, so be quick if you want to attend.

Good Night, Oscar
This new play by American writer Doug Wright comes to the Barbican from Broadway heralded by a 2023 Tony Award for star Sean Hayes (Will & Grace) and is about someone you've likely never heard of. Oscar Levant was a pianist – best known for playing George Gershwin's music – and a humourist, who popped up in a handful of films including An American in Paris. This play re-imagines the events surrounding his chaotic appearance as a guest on The Late Show in 1958. He arrives at the NBC studio, whose boss is already jittery because of Levant's erratic past behaviour, from a mental institution. His wife, June (Rosalie Craig), has secured a release under false pretences. Talk-show host Jack Parr (Ben Rappaport) wants to capitalise on his penchant for making controversial jokes live on air. His accompanying nurse, Alvin (Daniel Adeosun), is trying to stop him from popping pills. And Levant himself is hallucinating Gershwin. Focused so tightly on the early days of American TV, this could potentially sound niche for a British audience. But in Wright's assured hands, the collision of Levant's private and public life down the barrel of a camera lens becomes a play about the beginning of so many things we now recognise as staples of celebrity culture. He's famous for all the reasons he doesn't want to be – as a performer of someone else's music rather than a composer. He's wheeled onto chat shows for controversy by people for whom his mental health is something to be exploited. Rappaport's well-pitched and era-appropriate jocular slickness as Parr deliberately pushes Levant's every button is queasy. The play touches on the still-fierce debate about the relationship between comedy and freedom of expression – who gets to say what about whom – and the currency of outrage. But as it transitions from the dressing room to the studio, this is really scaffolding for the damage wreaked by fame. Hayes is extraordinary as Levant, crumpling into himself even as he makes the one-liners prompted by Parr sing off the stage. His well-honed way with comedy is the play's secret weapon. Our laughter is complicit in the implosion we know is happening. As his wife, June, Craig stretches thinner material a long way, conveying her character's frustrated, weary love. Their relationship is sketchily drawn, but they give it weight. Director Lisa Peterson's production is sturdily reliably in the early expositional scenes, but really takes flight when the dividing line between reality and Levant's worsening mental state begins to dissolve. There's a grippingly feverish quality to how Rachel Huack's dressing room and studio sets end up sharing stage space. Privacy no longer exists with cameras turned on couches. It's fragmentary and frantic – culminating in a truly virtuosic piano performance by a spotlit Hayes, who looks agonisingly at his own hands as if they belong to a stranger. It's hauntingly powerful and the apex of this funny and devastating play.

ITV COMMISSIONS FOUR-PART TRUE CRIME DRAMA, BELIEVE ME, WRITTEN BY ACCLAIMED SCREENWRITER JEFF POPE MBE AND PRODUCED BY ETTA PICTURES
AIMéE-FFION EDWARDS, MIRIAM PETCHE, AASIYA SHAH AND DANIEL MAYS PLAY THE LEADING ROLES IN THE DRAMA Images of the actors are available here: Photo credit for Aimée-Ffion Edwards – Phil Sharp Photo credit for Miriam Petche – Craig Gibson Photo credit for Aasiya Shah – Phil Sharp Photo credit for Daniel Mays – Will Thompson ITV's Director of Drama Polly Hill has commissioned a four-part true crime drama, Believe Me, written by BAFTA and RTS award winning screenwriter Jeff Pope MBE, and produced by his production company, Etta Pictures, part of ITV Studios. Believe Me tells the story of three victims of one of the most prolific sex attackers in British history, John Worboys, dubbed by the media as the 'black cab rapist' after preying on women under the cover of being a 'respectable' licensed taxi-cab driver. Aimée-Ffion Edwards (Slow Horses, Peaky Blinders, Dreamland, Mr Burton) Miriam Petche (Industry) and Aasiya Shah (Raised by Wolves, Bloods, The Beast Must Die) play the women Worboys sexually assaulted. Daniel Mays takes the role of John Worboys (Des, A Thousand Blows, The Long Shadow, Moonflower Murders). The drama will be filmed in Cardiff and is produced with the support of the Welsh Government via Creative Wales. John Worboys was convicted in 2009 for sexually assaulting twelve women between 2006 and 2008, with their cases selected from a large number of suspected further victims. His modus operandi was to claim that he'd had a win at a casino or on the lottery, then persistently offer women he'd picked up in his cab after a night out a glass of champagne, which he'd laced with drugs, and which rendered his victims unconscious. The drama focuses on the ordeal of two of the women who reported sexual assaults by Worboys, and how the Metropolitan Police failed to thoroughly investigate these women's allegations, leading them to feel that they were just not believed. Believe Me will relate how this left Worboys free to commit assaults undetected for many years. Following his trial came the realisation that he was linked to allegations of further sexual offences against over a hundred women. The two women then joined forces with solicitor Harriet Wistrich and Phillippa Kaufmann QC, and decided to sue the Metropolitan Police under the Human Rights Act for their failure to properly conduct investigations into their allegations of sexual assault, leading to them being subjected to degrading treatment and contributing to their distress. The drama highlights how these women fought against all odds to have their cases heard, whilst looming in the background was Worboys' first parole hearing. Unbelievably, eight years after he was convicted for his crimes, his victims were made to fight again to keep him behind bars. Academy Award nominated and BAFTA and RTS award winning screenwriter Jeff Pope is no stranger to true crime drama having recently written Suspect: The Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes and previously being known for The Walk In, Hatton Garden, A Confession, Little Boy Blue, Mrs Biggs and Lucan and was also Executive Producer for The Reckoning and Appropriate Adult (both written by Neil McKay). Jeff's work also includes the feature films Stan & Ollie, Philomena and Pierrepoint and critically acclaimed television biopics Cilla and Archie. Jeff will executive produce the drama alongside Saurabh Kakkar on behalf of Etta Pictures. Julia Ford (Until I Kill You, Showtrial, Unforgiveable) will direct the series. Catrin Lewis Defis (The Winter King, Hollington Drive, The Pact) will produce the series. Commented Jeff Pope: 'The series goes on an emotional journey with the victims of Worboys' attacks, showing what happened to them when they reported being raped and assaulted, the pain and indignity of the process and how this de-humanised them. But most shocking of all is how they felt that not being believed by the police and having the attacks recorded, essentially, as non-crimes, was as traumatising for them as the actual assaults.' Polly Hill will oversee production of the drama from the broadcaster's perspective. Commented Polly Hill: 'We are really proud to be working with Jeff Pope to bring this important story to screen. For too long the women were not heard by the police, resulting in more victims and ultimately resulting in a landmark case brought against the Met. Jeff's scripts as always are brilliant in bringing this difficult but important story to screen and I am delighted that Julia Ford will be directing the piece.' The drama will air on ITV1 and STV and be available for streaming on ITVX and STV Player.

Now, she is continuing to flaunt her passion for all to see and has shared a new emotional message to Instagram. Harriet, who now boasts over 550,000 followers, is leading the campaign. In a video to mark the day, she said: "Farm24 is showcasing to the general public, over a 24-hour period, what a farmer gets up to. "The Government should invest more time and money into farming because we need it. It's a bit of a dying industry otherwise. "Going forward, I hope that the next generation of farmers will be recognised more by the public and the Government, especially to put British farming on the map and for people to be aware that we are here." She went on to add: "Being part of the community is probably the most rewarding part for me. You have your neighbours and you're all in tune with each other. "You can talk, and if you're having problems, they'll all be there to help you." Her poignant message comes one month after we told how the farmer was hoping to rake in the cash following her TV fame after setting up her own business. Clarkson's Farm gives update on fan-favourite star and they look VERY different Following her instant fame, she has set up a private company called Farmfluence, incorporated on July 1. "If she is savvy she could rake in £500,000 in the next 12 months.' If that wasn't enough she has also signed to top talent agency Off Limits Entertainment, which has helped lots of reality stars including Love Island hunk Chris Hughes. Harriet appeared on Clarkson's Farm during the latest series but left Jezza's farm after Kaleb returned and her work was complete.
