Former Feyenoord striker Robert Bozeník has been critical of his current employer, Boavista. The Portuguese club are in financial trouble and were relegated to the second tier this season. The ex-Rotterdammer still has a contract with the club, but assumes that he will leave this summer.
While it wasn't a season to write home about for Bozeník after he scored five goals in 34 matches, he continues to feature with Slovakia for the friendly matches against Greece and Israel. He defended himself to Slovak media regarding his 'lesser' season.

'I understand that people who do not follow football closely or do not know the details have that image. But the circumstances were not exactly nice either. If there is no hot water at the club, no electricity, and your wages are two months behind, then that inevitably has consequences on the pitch. Nevertheless, I have always done my best, and now I am closing this chapter in my life. I hope for more certainty in the future.'
With that, the 25-year-old Bozeník, despite his contract until mid-2026, has seemingly announced his intent to leave.
