What Is Cheela Made Of?
Cheela is typically made with gram flour, red chilli, salt, and a variety of spices. Gram flour (besan) is made from roasted black gram and is naturally high in protein, which helps strengthen your muscles. Similarly, chana dal (split Bengal gram) is also protein-rich. By adding your favourite vegetables, you can further enhance its nutritional value.
Chana dal cheela is simple to prepare. All you need to do is soak the lentils overnight (or for a few hours), then blend them with ginger and green chillies. Add spices and salt to the batter, and you're ready to make cheelas. You can top them with chopped onion, tomato, and capsicum-or boost the protein content further by adding grated paneer.
Ingredients for Chana Dal Cheela:
1 cup chana dal
2 tbsp suji (semolina)
2 tbsp oil
1/2
tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
1/2inch piece of ginger
2 green chillies
How to Make Chana Dal Cheela | High-Protein Chana Dal Cheela Recipe:
Wash and soak one cup of chana dal thoroughly, preferably overnight or for a few hours.
Add the soaked dal to a mixer jar along with ginger and green chillies, then grind into a smooth batter.
Heat a pan. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it evenly in a circular shape. Top with chopped onion, tomato, and capsicum.
Cook the cheela on both sides until golden and crisp.
Serve hot with green chutney.
So next time you're looking for a quick yet nourishing breakfast option, give this protein-packed cheela a try and start your day on a healthy note.

So, follow us through these easy recipes and enjoy… The use of magical ingredients In India every region has some or other traditional drinks that are perfectly made to suit the nutritional demands of the season, and one such ingredient is sattu, which is made in so many interesting ways to keep the body hydrated and cool during the summer season. Here's all you need to know about this magical ingredient and some simple drinks that can be made with sattu, spices, and fruits to name a few… Why sattu? Sattu is basically a flour made by grinding roasted Bengal gram. This superfood is loaded with protein, fiber, and essential nutrients. Traditionally consumed in Eastern India, its high fiber and iron content helps in better digestion, provides satiety, and keeps the body cool and hydrated. In fact, its cool potency makes it a perfect choice for summer drinks, and its low glycemic index makes it great for effective diabetic management. Sattu Sherbet Sattu sherbet is a simple drink made by combining 2-3 tablespoons of sattu with a glass of chilled water. Add a pinch of black salt (kala namak), a squeeze of lemon juice, and a dash of roasted cumin powder (bhuna jeera). Stir well to avoid lumps. Aam Chatu Aam Chatu is a classic Bengali drink, which can be made by mixing sattu with fresh mango pulp, sugar, rock salt, black pepper, whole red chiles and cumin powder (bhuna jeera). Mix it well with fresh mint leaves, ice, water and some lemon slices. Mix all these things and serve chilled to enjoy. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Masala Sattu For those who enjoy a bit of a kick, the minty masala sattu drink is a perfect choice. In a blender, combine 2-3 tablespoons of sattu, a handful of fresh mint leaves, a small piece of ginger, a green chili, a pinch of black salt, roasted cumin powder, and 1.5 cups of chilled water. Blend until smooth. Strain if you prefer a smoother consistency. The refreshing mint and spicy notes of ginger and chili awaken the senses and make this drink incredibly invigorating on a hot day. Sweet Sattu Lassi Transform sattu into a delightful dessert-like drink with this sweet lassi variation. Blend 2-3 tablespoons of sattu with 1 cup of chilled yogurt (dahi), 1/2 cup of water, and 2-3 tablespoons of jaggery powder or sugar to taste. You can also add a pinch of cardamom powder for an aromatic touch. The creamy yogurt and sweet sattu make this a satisfying and nutritious treat, perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up or a light dessert. Vegetable Sattu Smoothie For an extra boost of vitamins and minerals, incorporate vegetables into your sattu drink. Blend 2-3 tablespoons of sattu with 1 cup of water, a handful of cucumber, onion, green chilies, and a squeeze of lemon juice. You can also add a pinch of black salt and black pepper for flavor. This savory green smoothie is an excellent way to sneak in extra nutrients and stay energized throughout the day. Made from roasted chana, sattu has long been a traditional energy booster. Whether you mix it with water and lemon or knead it into parathas, it fills you up and keeps you going. With around 20 grams of protein per 100 grams, sattu proves that simple food can be seriously strong. Can't eat your food without snapping a picture first? Morten Harket Diagnosed With Parkinson's Disease: ‘I Don't Feel Like Singing'

Last Updated: Morten Harket didn't say exactly when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's, but explained that he takes medicine to control his symptoms. Morten Harket, lead singer of the iconic Norwegian band A-ha, has revealed that he is living with Parkinson's disease. The Take On Me hitmaker shared the news on the band's official website, though he did not specify when he was diagnosed. Harket explained that he is currently managing his symptoms with medication. In addition, he underwent surgery in the United States last year, during which doctors implanted tiny electrodes in his brain. These are connected to a small device in his chest as part of a treatment known as deep brain stimulation (DBS), which has helped stabilise his condition. While the treatment has been largely successful, Harket acknowledged that the disease has impacted his voice. The singer said, 'I've got no problem accepting the diagnosis. With time, I've taken to heart my 94-year-old father's attitude to the way the organism gradually surrenders: 'I use whatever works. ' Part of me wanted to reveal it. It's my need for peace and quiet to work that has been stopping me. I'm trying the best I can to prevent my entire system from going into decline. It's a difficult balancing act between taking the medication and managing its side effects. There's so much to weigh up when you're emulating the masterful way the body handles every complex movement, or social matters and invitations, or day-to-day life in general. You're actually seeing me at my worst right now." Morten Harket's voice, long considered his most distinctive gift, is now beginning to show signs of strain. He admitted that the changes in his voice are one of the main reasons he feels uncertain about his musical future. At times, he experiences sudden drops in energy, moments when everything around him seems to fall silent. Throughout the years, his bandmates Paul and Magne have often written songs that pushed his vocal abilities to the limit, constantly challenging him to deliver his very best. Now, due to the illness, Harket said, 'I don't feel like singing, and for me that's a sign. I'm broad-minded in terms of what I think works; I don't expect to be able to achieve full technical control. I don't know whether I'll be able to manage it at some point in the future. When we tune the frequencies and direction of the electrodes, it is also able to affect the region of the voice, but we're not yet able to capture and control it. If I don't take dopamine, my voice settles down, but then the general underlying symptoms become more pronounced." Morten Harket knows that many people will now send him advice, treatment ideas and suggestions. But he explained that he needs to focus only on the doctors' and experts' advice. He trusts their knowledge and wants to stick to their advice. He also asked people not to worry about him. Instead, he encouraged everyone to focus on their own growth and purpose. He also reminded people to protect nature and care for the environment, as these are the real issues that need attention. The A-ha singer shared that he has been working on new songs for the past few years. He feels that the lyrics show a different, more personal side of him. However, he's not sure if he'll be able to complete and release them. First Published: June 05, 2025, 15:15 IST
