The NY Liberty is hosting WNBA watch parties at Ginger's, The Bush and more during Pride Month

You don't need a ticket to Barclays to feel the Liberty love this Pride Month. The reigning WNBA champs are taking over Brooklyn's queerest watering holes with a series of official watch parties for their June away games—because when you're part of the Liberty Bar Network, every game is home court. At Park Slope's iconic Ginger's Bar, Liberty fans will gather on Sunday, June 22, at 7 pm for the Seattle matchup, then again on June 25 (10 pm vs. Golden State), June 27 (10 pm vs. Phoenix) and June 29 (3 pm vs. Atlanta). And yes, Ginger's still keeps it charmingly old-school: cash only, killer patio and the kind of regulars who will gladly talk playoff math with you over pool. Meanwhile, Bushwick's delightfully chaotic The Bush will keep the energy high on Saturday, June 14, when the Liberty face Indiana at 3 pm. Known for rowdy dance nights, drag shows and a proudly unpolished vibe, The Bush is where Liberty fandom meets Bushwick queer energy in all its chaotic glory. View this post on Instagram A post shared by New York Liberty (@nyliberty) The watch parties are a natural extension of the WNBA's longstanding ties to the LGBTQIA+ community. The Liberty's upcoming July 25 Pride Night at Barclays is the official glitter-soaked centerpiece, but the league's queerness isn't confined to one game or one month. As Liberty coach Sandy Brondello told Sports Illustrated last year, 'We celebrate [Pride] every single day of the week … all season long.' That ethos shows up in the stands, where fans like Deidree Golbourne (a.k.a. the 'Mayor of Barclays') make Liberty games a safe haven for Black, queer and gender-diverse New Yorkers. It shows up at bars like Ginger's and The Bush, where queer fans—new and old—find familiar faces, cold drinks and loud cheers for Breanna Stewart threes. So skip the sports bar with the busted sound system and straight dudes yelling at baseball highlights. This June, pull up to a Liberty watch party where everyone actually knows the rules, nobody minds if you cry during player intros and the vibe is more queer family picnic than frat party.

Iconic UK music festival is making a comeback 14 YEARS after being axed & will be the ‘biggest beach party' ever

MIC DROP The festival has hosted the likes of Calvin Harris and Jason Derulo AN ICONIC British music festival is making a return, 14 years after it was scrapped. T4 on the Beach, which was axed back in 2012, is getting revamped as Summer Fest on the Beach for 2026. 3 3 3 The hotly anticipated new festival will hit the shores of Weston-super-Mare next summer with huge international names set to perform. 'This is more than just a festival—it's a full-blown celebration of music, nostalgia, and British summer magic", festival founder Ian Rogers said. "The response so far has been incredible, and we're pulling out all the stops to make this the biggest beach party the UK has seen in years. "Whether you grew up with T4 on the Beach or just love unforgettable live music, this is your chance to be part of something special.' In T4 on the beach's heyday, it hosted the likes of Calvin Harris, Jason Derulo and Sophie Ellis Bextor. However, the festival was axed after Channel 4 dropped the T4 brand back in 2012. Festival lovers hoping to attend the rebranded festival next year can register their interest here. Registering will mean you are the first to hear about pre-sales and artist updates. T4 on the Beach was initially called Pop Beach and was held in Great Yarmouth from 2003 to 2005. In 2005, the one-day festival then moved to Weston-Super-Mare, which is where the new festival will be held. Here's how to do festival looks on a budget - and save the planet In anticipation of the event, Visit Weston posted: "You're going to absolutely LOVE THIS! "Summer Fest On The Beach is a brand new festival launching in 2026, right here on the beach in Weston-super-Mare! "The excitement around what this event could mean to our town is incredible. "Think sunshine, sand, wide smiles, massive artists, beach bars, street food, and unforgettable moments, with the backdrop of our beautiful sunsets." Social media users were quick to share their excitement for the event. One person said: "We remember T4!" Another person said: "Can't wait!" A third beamed: "I'm in." A fourth simply penned: "OMG!"

A free Caribbean street party will bring tropical vibes to Times Square

One of the most memorable things to do during summer in New York is catch the red-hot, sprawling West Indian Day Carnival, which draws two million people to Brooklyn for a Caribbean carnival done Gotham-style. But if, like us, you can't wait until August for a colorful Calypso spectacle, suit up for some serious fun in Times Square next week. On Tuesday, June 10, New Yorkers can kick off Caribbean American Heritage Month with 'A Caribbean Fête in Times Square' hosted by TSQ Live and Brooklyn-based cultural organization I Am CaribBEING. From 5pm to 7pm, the famed Broadway plaza—between 45th and 46th Streets—will transform into a massive lime (a.k.a. party) celebrating the treasured culture of Caribbean countries like Barbados, Bahamas, Grenada, Guyana, St. Lucia, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, among others. The bash is free, but you must RSVP to secure your spot. Designed as a joyful declaration of "global culture that is here to stay and play," the party includes live sets by songwriter-DJ Private Ryan, so you can groove to the tropical tunes of soca, dancehall, reggae, and more. 'Caribbean American Heritage Month deserves its rightful space in the spotlight,' says I Am CariBEING founder Shelley Worrell. 'This event is more than just music, it's a testament to the strength and power of our heritage, and it is with great pride that we bring the joy of the Caribbean to one of the world's most iconic locations.' 'This event promises to be a sonic celebration of a region whose influence not only reverberates through fashion, food, and music but whose profound contributions to The Arts are often under-recognized and undervalued,' Worrell adds, encouraging revelers to bring their flags and rep every island. I AM CARIBBEING is an award-winning community and cultural venture dedicated to showcasing Caribbean tradition, art, and lifestyle in Greater New York and beyond by supporting local, Caribbean-owned businesses, fostering community, and promoting Caribbean culture. If you feel peckish after all that high-energy revelry, head to Flatbush, known as Brooklyn's Little Caribbean neighborhood and home to the largest community of Caribbean-American-Latinx residents outside of the West Indies. Or take the train to Queens' Little Guyana
