Just days away now from one of the most eagerly anticipated games of hurling in years. Cork v Limerick in the Munster Championship when both sides are on an upward curve has the senses tingling all over the country.
This year, Cork are on the road and Limerick will be looking to send the men in red back down the N20 with more than a flea in their collective ears and no extra points in their bag. Same goes for the Rebels who will feel this is another chance to inflict pain on the side that they dismissed in the All-Ireland semi-final in 2024.

Owen Farrell to be Sky Sports pundit for Lions opener against Argentina
Owen Farrell will run the rule over the first match for the British & Irish Lions , against Argentina next week, after joining Sky Sports' punditry team. The 33-year-old will be at the Aviva Stadium next Friday to give his views on how the side, coached by his dad, Andy, fares. Instead, he will be pitchside in Dublin as part of a Sky Sports lineup forline-upour that includes Sam Warburton, Dan Biggar, Ronan O'Gara, Will Greenwood, Kyle Sinckler, John Barclay, Conor Murray and Nolli Waterman as well as the former Lions coaches Warren Gatland and Ian McGeechan. He has not featured for Racing since suffering a head injury during their Challenge Cup semi-final loss to Lyon last month. While still under contract at Racing, Farrell has informed the Top 14 club of his desire to leave early and return to the Premiership. Saracens are keen to re-sign the former England captain, but will need to agree personal terms as well as a compensation package with Racing. The former England head coach Eddie Jones will be working on the tour for TalkSport, the station announced last month. Tickets for Steelers v Vikings will range from €85 to €295 when they on sale Tuesday
Tickets for September's NFL game in Croke Park will go on general sale on Tuesday with prices ranging from €85 to €295. Hill 16 and the Nally Stand will be seated for the meeting of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings on September 28 with admission set at €250 for a spot in those areas. A ticket at the lower part of the opposing Davin Stand will cost the same. At €295, the most expensive general sale ticket is in the middle part of the lower Cusack and Hogan Stand. For all other parts of the main lower stands except for the rows closest to the playing area, a seat is priced at €275. Those rows are restricted view tickets as teams and coaching staff will be congregated in front of them. The Upper Cusack and Hogan Stand tickets will be available at €150, €225 or €250. Upper Lower Davin Stand tickets can be purchased at €85 or €100. The tiering of the tickets as well as that for Saturday's URC Grand Final between Leinster and the Bulls in Croke Park is sure to give hosts GAA food for thought when the only general ticket differentiation they make for All-Ireland senior finals is between stand and terrace admission. The URC were charging between €22.60 for a standing Hill 16 ticket to €55.35 for the corners of the lower Cusack and Hogan Stands to €147.35 for a seat in the Ard Chomhairle area of the Hogan Stand. Speaking on Tuesday, GAA president Jarlath Burns referenced their ticketing system: 'We do have a ticketing workgroup set up under (Ulster vice-chairman) Declan Woods from Cavan. They are coming up with all sorts of ideas around dynamic structures, dynamic pricing. "Even Leinster, if you look at the URC final on Saturday, they have a dynamic structure. Even the corners of the stands, it's cheaper to get into them than the main part of the stand. It's interesting what they're charging to get into Ard Chomhairle as well, if any of you have seen that.'

Waterford duo Niamh Rockett and Kellyann Hogan are the May winners of the PwC GPA Women's Player of the Month awards for camogie and football, with Limerick talisman Cian Lynch and Donegal's Michael Murphy named the PwC GAA/GPA Hurler and Footballer of the month respectively. Cian Lynch delivered commanding performances for Limerick in the Munster Hurling Championship in pivotal wins over Waterford and Cork as they pursued their sixth provincial title in a row. Lynch was the Man of the Match in the six-point victory over the Déise and was instrumental in the 16-point victory over Cork that booked his side's spot in a seventh consecutive Munster final, won by Cork on penalties last weekend. Donegal stalwart Michael Murphy delivered inspirational performances throughout the month, none more so than in the Ulster title decider versus defending All-Ireland champions Armagh. After taking two years off, Murphy (35) was the difference-maker, scoring three points and helping set up plenty more as Donegal retained their provincial crown. Murphy followed this up with an eight-point haul in the defeat against Tyrone in the All-Ireland series. Rockett made history with the Déise as they recorded their first ever senior championship victory over Kilkenny in Nowlan Park on 31 May. The free-taker scored nine of Waterford's 17 points and will look to continue her scintillating form in the next round as Waterford take on Dublin on Saturday week. The Waterford women's football team came agonisingly close to overcoming the reigning All-Ireland champions Kerry, with Hogan's six well-taken scores a key factor in the Déise running Kerry close. Hogan then put in a dominant performance in Waterford's nine-point victory against Cork to book a rematch against the Kingdom in the Munster Football Championship final. A standout performance in the middle of the park and four scores from the Ballymacarby clubwoman were unfortunately not enough however, as Waterford tasted defeat at the hands of Kerry once more.
