The board at La Liga giants Barcelona have placed an asking price on the head of versatile attacker Pau Víctor for the summer.
That's according to Diario Sport, who have this weekend provided an insight into the situation.

Frontman Víctor, for his part, is fresh off something of a difficult campaign in Catalunya's capital in 2024/25.
Owing to the fierce competition for places in Hansi Flick's frontline, the 23-year-old largely struggled for game-time, to the tune of just two starts across all competitions.
At such a crucial point in his development as a player, it has in turn come as little surprise to see Víctor linked with a summer transfer away from the Camp Nou.
Girona, for one, are understood to boast a long-standing interest in the signature of the Spaniard.
And as alluded to above, should the Blanquivermells, or any other club for that matter, choose to move ahead with a bid for Víctor, they will now be aware of the kind of sum which will Barcelona are seeking to sanction a sale.
As per a report from Sport, the Blaugrana are seeking a fee in excess of €5 million.

Mighty PSG sets sights on another trophy with a dominating win over Messi's Inter Miami

ATLANTA (AP) — Paris Saint-Germain left no doubt it was Europe's top club with a historic victory in the Champions League. Now, PSG is intent on conquering the world. Les Rouge-et-Bleu turned in a dominating performance at the Club World Cup on Sunday, brushing aside Lionel Messi and Inter Miami with a first-half blitz that resulted in a 4-0 victory. While the European powerhouses complained mightily about having to play in the newly expanded tournament at the end of a grueling season, PSG is taking the 32-team competition seriously. Outside of a 1-0 loss to Brazilian club Botafogo in group play, PSG has won three games by a cumulative 10-0 since arriving in the United States. 'It's clear that this is a historic season for us. We intend to continue making history with this competition,' PSG coach Luis Enrique said through an interpreter. 'We're fighting to claim silverware. This season is very long for all the teams. But we're excited to be here.' PSG advanced to the quarterfinals, where it will face either Bayern Munich or Brazilian club Flamengo next Saturday in Atlanta. There was a huge buildup to the game against Messi, who played two seasons at PSG before making the move to South Florida in the twilight of his brilliant career and was facing his former coach at Barcelona. But even with an eight-time Ballon d'Or winner leading the way, the club from Major League Soccer was simply no match for a deep, talented squad that routed Inter Milan 5-0 in the Champions League final a month ago. João Neves scored a pair of goals for PSG, setting the tone with a header off a free kick just six minutes into the match. He scored again in the 39th, and Inter Miami totally fell apart in the closing minutes of the opening half. Tomás Avilés gave up an own-goal on a cross in front of the net, and Achraf Hakimi added to his brilliant campaign with another tally in stoppage time. With a four-goal cushion at the break, PSG could start looking ahead to its next match. 'We will play our game no matter who is against us,' Neves said. 'We are confident.' Messi barely touched the ball in the first half as the Herons struggled mightily just to get across the just to get across the halfway line. The pink-clad fans in the crowd of 65,574 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium tried to stir the underdogs with occasional chants of 'Messi! Messi! Messi!' but it did little good. PSG was simply too good. 'With their youthful players and high caliber and an amazing coach, they didn't let us relax for one second,' Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano said through an interpreter. 'I feel like this is a team that will be remembered.' In another encouraging sign for PSG, French star Ousmane Dembélé got his first action of the tournament after sustaining a left quadriceps injury while on duty with the national team. He came on a substitute for Neves in the 62nd minute. 'It is very important for us to have injured players come back into the fold,' Enrique said. 'We have to focus on our goals and get our players back.' Especially when there's another trophy within reach. ___ AP soccer:

Sarina Wiegman delighted with England performance ahead of Euros opener

Sarina Wiegman was impressed with England's performance but knows there will be stronger challenges ahead after their dominant 7-0 win over Jamaica in their final game before the European Women's Championship. Ella Toone scored a brace either side of Lucy Bronze's header to give England a healthy advantage at the break. Advertisement Wiegman's side flexed their muscles in the second period as Georgia Stanway, Alessia Russo, Aggie Beever-Jones and Beth Mead got on the scoresheet to give England the perfect send-off before they face France in their first game at the Euros next Saturday. 'We played a good game,' the 55-year-old said. 'We were a lot in the final third, we scored seven goals which is really good, created a lot of chances and some moments could have been even more patient sometimes. 'But at the same time, scoring seven goals and more opportunities to score was really good. 'We know next week we have to take our game to the next level. But what we wanted to do was play a good game, entertain fans, getting ready for next week and getting everyone fit out of this game. Advertisement 'It shows we have a good team and have many options and competition going on for positions. Today we had six different players score goals, which is nice going into the Euros and it shows the players can score goals.' England gained momentum ahead of their Euros opener against France (Bradley Collyer/PA) Lauren James climbed off the bench in the second period as she made her first appearance since a hamstring injury in April. It did not take long for her to make an impact as she supplied the cross for Russo's goal shortly after her introduction. Wiegman added: 'We're still building her. She's worked so hard to be here where she is now. At Chelsea first, but then the last two weeks in training camps, she could do every single training session and did really well. 'Now this is the first time she could get minutes and we hope next week we can keep building her going into France. Advertisement 'Also there is a lot of competition going on upfront and in midfield so we've figured out over the last couple days how we will start.' England feared Mead picked up an injury when she went down holding her knee as the game ticked over into stoppage time. Beth Mead overcame an injury scare to score England's seventh goal (Bradley Collyer/PA) The fans had their hearts in their mouths when Mead received treatment on the field, but she was able to get up and carry on before she scored the last goal of the game. Wiegman said: 'It was a hit on her knee. She's OK, she's good. 'Everyone came out fit and healthy so it was just a hard knock. It looked horrible so we were a little bit scared too, but she could even score after that moment.'

Manchester United target Dominic Calvert-Lewin takes to social media to confirm Everton exit

Manchester United-linked striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is leaving Everton on a free transfer. It is still early days in the summer but United have already faced many obstacles in their attempts to sign a new striker. Advertisement Liam Delap was considered the club's preferred option due to his age and affordable release clause, but the Englishman picked Chelsea. Viktor Gyokeres, meanwhile, is waiting for Arsenal and Victor Osimhen is likely to end up in Saudi Arabia due to his astronomical wage demands. However, considering only Everton scored fewer goals in the Premier League last season than United among all the non-relegated clubs, it would be very reckless to head into the new campaign without a new number nine. United's desperate need for a new goalscorer and their limited transfer budget have also led to the Red Devils being linked with a number of low-cost options, including Calvert-Lewin. Earlier this month, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United have 'fully entered the battle' to sign the Englishman upon the expiration of his contract. Advertisement On Sunday, the 28-year-old announced he is leaving Everton this month as a free agent. The ex-Sheffield United man wrote on Instagram: 'After nine remarkable years at this club, I've made the incredibly difficult decision – together with my family – to begin a new chapter in my career.' David Moyes wanted to keep Calvert-Lewin in Merseyside but the parties failed to find an agreement over fresh terms. The England international has had a difficult last few years at Everton due to fitness issues. However, he is still supposedly admired at United, owing to his physicality and hold-up play. If United decide to allocate their funds to revamp other areas, Calvert-Lewin could prove to be a decent stop-gap solution. Follow us on Bluesky: @
