Seeded at No.4, Hsieh Su-wei and Jelena Ostapenko made easy work of their first three matches at Wimbledon 2025, progressing without dropping a set.
Their biggest challenge so far came when they lost the tiebreak after a tight opening set against Sorana Cirstea and Anna Kalinskaya in the quarter-finals.
But the duo powered back to win the next two 6-3, 6-2, setting up a tantalising showdown with defending champions and top seeds Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend on July 11, 2025.
Who is Frederic Aniere?
Frederic Aniere is the longtime boyfriend of Taiwanese tennis star Hsieh Su-wei.
He grew up in Paris and completed his studies in marketing, before entering the property sector and building a career as an estate agent.
The couple met in 2016 when Su-wei was visiting Paris with her coach.
They were introduced by a mutual friend, who suggested Frederic show her around the city.
What began as a friendly outing with her team soon blossomed into a romantic relationship.
The year after they met, Su-wei told AP: 'In Taiwan we don't have a professional tennis court, so I'm always travelling to somewhere to practice with my coach, and then my friend, last year, she introduced me to her friend.
'She said, 'Oh, I have a friend in Paris — he can take you out for fun,' and then we just go out to eat, with my team, not just me, and then things worked. And now I am living with him in Paris.'
Queen thanks Novak Djokovic for letting her stay in his 'lovely' property in 'private' chat at Wimbledon
Frederic's role in Su-wei's life extends beyond that of just a boyfriend — after about a year of dating, he left his real estate job to travel full-time with his girlfriend, supporting her on the WTA tour.
He has acted as her travelling coach and practice partner at tournaments and Grand Slams.
In 2019, Frederic told WTAtennis.com: '[Su-wei] knows a lot about tennis.'
"She doesn't necessarily need someone to tell her what she has to do, because she knows exactly what she has to do herself.
'I'm just here to give her confidence, to have a good time together, and that's it.

'Of course, we talk about tennis, but she knows what she has to do.
"I don't try to understand her all the time. I just let her be herself, but for sure, she's interesting, different from other players.
'She has a different way of working. She likes to play with feeling, and she's like this in life. It's what goes for her."
He added: "She does a lot of yoga, a lot of stretching. She doesn't spend three hours on the court every day.
'If she's stretching and feeling good in the body, maybe she works more on her fitness. When you get older you have to be even more fit and ready.
"We don't push her too much but we put out positive energy, which makes it more fun to go out on the court and practice."
As of July 2025, the couple does not have children.

Kaden Groves clinches first Tour de France stage victory as Tadej Pogacar takes one more step to overall title

Kaden Groves won stage 20 of the Tour de France from a breakaway in Pontarlier as Tadej Pogacar came through the penultimate day unscathed to ensure he will wear yellow into Paris on Sunday. Groves left Frank van den Broek and Briton Jake Stewart behind with 16 kilometres of the rolling 184km stage from Nantua remaining, taking advantage of their hesitancy to quickly build a lead as he won by 55 seconds from Van den Broek, completing a trilogy with wins in all three Grand Tours. Behind, the peloton rolled in some seven minutes down, happy to survive a damp day that saw several riders crash as Pogacar retained his four minute 24 second lead over rival Jonas Vingegaard on the last day before Paris. The addition of three ascents of the Montmartre climb to Sunday's finale may rule out the usual Champs-Elysees sprint and keep the racing on for one more day - subject to a threat of rain - but Pogacar can almost start celebrating his fourth Tour title and begin plotting a record-equalling fifth. 'Today we weren't sure whether to go for the stage or wait for tomorrow but when the rain falls I have a super feeling normally in the cold weather,' an emotional Groves said. 'It's my first ever solo win and it's a Tour stage so it's pretty incredible. 'There's so much pressure at the Tour. Having won in the Giro and won in the Vuelta all I ever get asked is if am I good enough to win in the Tour and now I've shown them.' Groves' first career Tour stage win was a third of this race for his Alpecin-Deceuninck team but the first since stage two, with their previous two winners Jasper Philipsen and Mathieu van der Poel since lost to injury and illness. Stage 20 was likely earmarked for Classics specialist Van der Poel but Groves demonstrated his class as not just a sprinter but an all-rounder, as he looked among the strongest riders on the day's punchy climbs through the Jura hills. Fourteen teams started the day without a win in this Tour so a furious fight for the breakaway was expected, but such was the pace that it was more a case of riders falling off the back than launching off the front of a rapidly-shrinking peloton. It was down to less than 50 when Tim Wellens attacked on the second-categorised climb, leading to 13 riders getting themselves clear before the peloton sat up with a little under 100km to go. A long-range attack from Harry Sweeny came to nothing as the groups came back together, but after a nasty crash for Ivan Romeo and local rider Romain Gregoire, only Groves, Stewart, Van den Broek were left with 20km left. When Groves attacked, Stewart and Van den Broek looked at each other, and in that moment the stage was decided. Pogacar mathematically secured the king of the mountains' polka dot jersey early on this stage, with yellow set to follow on Sunday provided he crosses the line in Paris.

Strictly's Anton Du Beke opens up about wife Hannah's ‘cruel and inexplicable' diagnosis in heartbreaking comments

STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke has opened up about his wife Hannah Summers' deeply harrowing experience with endometriosis and the effect it had on their journey to parenthood. The 59-year-old, who recently joined Celebrity Gogglebox, got married to marketing executive Hannah in 2017 and the pair welcomed their twins George and Henrietta through IVF. 4 4 4 Now Anton has revealed that his spouse had big reservations about her ability to start a family as a result of her condition. While appearing on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, the BBC One star expressed: 'I knew I wanted to be with her, I saw her with her nephews. She's so kind and so caring, I just couldn't understand the universe. 'And whoever is upstairs, if anyone's upstairs, looking down and going 'you are the most perfect person to have children, but I'm not going to let you have any children because I'm going to give you this'. "And I'm going to say 'you're going to have this endometriosis, and you're going to suffer with this all of your life, chronically, and I'm not going to let you have any children. "I thought that was peculiar, cruel, and inexplicable and unforgivable. And if ever I go up to somewhere and meet this person I would say 'I think you're not OK with decisions like this, this doesn't make any sense to me,' he lamented. The dancer went on to praise women for the things they have to go through with their bodies and health and shared his sadness about not being able to take Hannah's pain away. He continued: 'Then we went through the process of IVF, well crying out loud. You girls are extraordinary. As much as I want to get involved, all I can do is hold your hand. 'It makes me emotional every time I talk about it. The injections, the stress, the anxiety. I have anxiety and stress but it's not my body. "She has these injections and the bruises in the bum, in the thigh, in the stomach. And you're trying to help but what can you do? 'Whatever you want, tell me and I'll do it but that's all you have and it's horrendous as a man to watch it. Fuming Strictly viewers accuse 'mean' judge Anton DuBeke of being 'horrible' to celeb - did you spot it? 'You feel so inadequate and you want to do so much more but I can't do anything. And that's why you girls are so extraordinary, you're extraordinary that you do all this stuff." Anton and Hannah were fortunate enough to conceive after their first round of IVF and are now a happy family of four. This isn't the first time Anton has opened up about Hannah's endometriosis as he discussed her battle while appearing on Loose Women in 2020. He told the ladies: 'For a woman, it affects the quality of your life to a degree because it sort of comes in three parts. "First, there's the excruciating pain, second there's the swelling. It sometimes makes you look like you're pregnant, which is quite a perverse thing because people come up to you and say 'congratulations' and you're like 'actually, no'.' 4
