Police were searching close to Good Night Scrub National Park, near Gin Gin, in Queensland, Australia, this afternoon before finding human remains at 2:30pm.
They have not yet been identified, but cops are now talking to the family of the missing teen, who vanished nearly a month ago.
A crime scene has been established where the tragic teen was found, and forensic examinations are ongoing.
Police are still appealing for anyone with relevant information on the case to come forward.

Shocking footage showed the moment one of Pheobe's alleged killers was arrested - as police told him to "just listen".
Wood, 34, and Bromley, 33, were arrested on Thursday - before Pheobe's sister broke down outside court while making an emotional plea.
The Australian teen's housemates have each been charged with one count of murder and two counts of interfering with a corpse.
17-year-old Pheobe, from Gin Gin, north of Brisbane, Australia, has not been seen or heard from since Thursday, May 15.

She was supposed to board a flight to see her boyfriend on the same day she went missing, but the teenager never actually checked in.
Police revealed a grim update as they believe that Pheobe's body was moved "more than once".

Her corpse is said to have been in the Good Night Scrub National Park at one point before being relocated.
Dramatic footage released by Queensland Police on Friday showed a dishevelled Wood, without any shoes on, being led out of what is said to be his parents' RV.

Recorded at 7:20pm on Thursday in the Bundaberg area, the alleged killer is seen following cops without resisting.
But a policeman is later heard telling Wood: "Just listen to me."
The rest of the clip's audio is edited out, and it is unclear what provoked the policeman to say this to Wood.
There is also an unidentified figure in the caravan wearing orange shorts, standing behind Wood as he talks to one of the cops.

After being taken out into the dark, the "Detective Sergeant with Bundaberg Child Protection Investigation Unit" makes the arrest.
The officer says: "I'm placing you under arrest for the homicide of Pheobe Bishop".
Wood is then seen sitting alone at the back of an unmarked police car.
Both Wood and Bromley appeared at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Friday morning, and will return to court on August 11.

Outside the building, Pheobe's heartbroken sister Kaylea Bishop said her sibling was 'loved and missed' dearly.
The 18-year-old desperately pleaded for anyone with information on the case to come forward.
Kaylea said: 'I don't know what to say, but if you've got any information about Pheobe, or the car or anything like that, just come forward.
"We just want her home."

Kaylea and Pheobe had a close relationship and were planning to move in together last year.
Also on Friday, Pheobe's devastated mum Kylie Johnson paid tribute to her daughter Kaylea for bravely speaking out.
Johnson said on Facebook: "Kaylea your strength, determination and dedication to bring Phee Phee home is such a reflection of your fierce love for your sister."
Cops are now set to allege that Wood, Bromley and Pheobe were all in the car when it arrived at Airport Drive near Bundaberg Airport in the morning of May 15.

Wood previously told the Daily Mail that Pheobe convinced the couple to pull over so she could do her makeup.
They then pulled over, less than a kilometre away from the airport, before Wood and Bromley left her and went for a walk "for five minutes".
After returning to their silver Hyundai, they claim she had "disappeared".
But police now believe that the trio never actually left the car.

Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield said: "Our evidence will outline the fact that three people arrived near to the airport, and three people never exited that vehicle."

Australian teenager Pheobe was supposed to board a flight on May 15 to see her boyfriend - but mysteriously she never checked in.
The trio had an explosive drive to the airport according to Wood, which was the last time anyone had seen her.
A family member said: "Her phone has been switched off from this point.
"She hasn't contacted anyone at all, no one has seen her."

The trio had been living in a derelict pad together, which cops have now declared a crime scene.
Her distressed mum, Johnson, made a series of heartbreaking pleas begging anyone with information to come forward.
She also claimed that her daughter's sudden disappearance was out of character.

Her last known whereabouts were recorded on May 15 at around 8:30am
The teen was supposed to fly to Brisbane and then to Perth to see her "high-school sweetheart" boyfriend but CCTV footage showed that she never entered the airport.
Her social media accounts have also not been active since she went missing.

And her last bank account activity was recorded on May 14, the day before she disappeared.
Bromley had previously been arrested after police allegedly found weapons in her silver Hyundai ix35 - the car which has been at the centre of police focus.
The day before, a new number plate was discovered to have been painted and taped over the Hyundai's original plate.
Bromley appeared in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court last Monday, after cops alleged they found a shortened firearm, ammunition and two replica handguns inside her grey Hyundai.

She was charged with two counts of authority required to possess explosives, and one count each of possessing and acquiring restricted items and unlawful possession of weapons.
Additional ammunition was also reportedly found at the home.

British backpacker faces 20 years in jail over fatal e-scooter crash

A British backpacker is facing up to 20 years in an Australian jail after being charged with killing a pedestrian she hit while riding an e-scooter. Alicia Kemp, 24, is alleged to have been three times the legal alcohol limit when she collided with Thanh Phan, a 51-year-old engineer, who was said to have been standing on a footpath. Mr Phan, a father of two, had been waiting to cross the road in Perth's central business district when Ms Kemp, who had a passenger on the e-scooter, struck him on May 3. Mr Phan died in hospital from brain passenger, understood to be a 26-year-old friend of Ms Kemp, suffered a fractured skull and a broken nose. Ms Kemp, a psychology graduate from Redditch, Worcs, was denied bail when she appeared in court in Perth charged with dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm and dangerous driving occasioning death. The magistrate said she was too great a flight risk to be freed on bail. If convicted, the maximum penalty is 20 years' imprisonment. Ms Kemp was supported in court by her family, who travelled from the UK, and her boyfriend, with whom she was travelling the world. She graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BSc in psychology with criminology, before completing a masters in forensic mental health. She went on to work with children in care who had emotional, behavioural, physical and intellectual difficulties. In the summer of 2023, she began a two-year trip around the world, posting her adventures on TikTok and describing herself as a 'digital nomad'. She worked as an English teacher in Vietnam and volunteered at an animal shelter in the Philippines. She was in Australia on a four-month working holiday visa, and had been working at Durty Nelly's Irish Pub in Perth. E-scooter hire suspended The police have claimed she was travelling at speeds of up to 15mph before she hit Mr Phan from behind. She was said to have been drinking since 2.30pm and the collision happened after 8pm. Prosecutors told the court her 'inexplicably dangerous' riding was captured by CCTV, and other pedestrians had to 'take evasive action' as she allegedly rode the e-scooter on the footpath. She was said to have had a blood alcohol level of 0.158. Local laws dictate that those riding electric vehicles like e-scooters must have a level below 0.05 to drive. As a result of the collision, the city of Perth suspended the hire of e-scooters. Dr Michael Page, the West Australia president of the Australian Medical Association, told that at least one person a day was admitted to trauma units in the state with major injuries caused by e-scooters. He added that the number of patients with really serious injuries had been increasing. 'It's really a scourge in terms of injuries in our society and the problem with these council-endorsed private hire e-scooters in city centres is people are hopping on without any experience [of] riding e-scooters,' he said. 'They're often intoxicated. They might be riding at night. They might not be wearing proper protection and so the chance for something to go wrong is very, very high.'

They decided to investigate a suspect believed to be armed at 9.50pm. The suspect fled on foot into a nearby apartment as cops ran behind, according to Chicago Police Department Supt. Larry Snelling. When police entered the apartment, another person pointed a rifle at them. An officer discharged his weapon during the confrontation leading Rivera to be shot, Snelling said. As she was being transported to the local hospital, the police vehicle reportedly caught fire and as a result, Rivera had to be put in another car, according to Snelling. She was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. Another officer suffered a wrist injury, requiring hospitalization, according to Fox 32 Chicago. Dozens of police officers and firefighters paid their respects, walking in procession at 3am from the hospital to the Cook County Medical Examiners Office. He added: 'She was a hero, and she lost her life tragically doing the job that she loved. 'That was one of the things that her mother said, she loved her job, and the way that she worked.' In an Instagram post, the Chicago Fire Department posted a picture of the tragic officer, saying she 'made the ultimate sacrifice in service' to the city. According to Snelling, two people inside the apartment fled the apartment but were taken into custody soon after. He added that 'several individuals" are in custody, as three weapons were recovered from the scene. Police and the Chicago Office of Police Accountability, which assesses incidents that involve officers firing weapons, are conducting an investigation. Speaking about Rivera, Snelling said: 'She had already processed two other guns working that day. 'She was a working police officer trying to keep the street safe. And she did great work. "And if you talk to anyone on her team, they would tell you how great of a worker she was. "This is the risk that our officers take every single day.' Snelling added that "this happens way too often", saying: "An officer, a young officer, 36-years-old and four years on the job. Who was working hard… these officers are out here driving down crime while putting their lives at risk. 'I want everyone to keep this officer's family in your prayers and understand the risk that she took every single day when she came out to do her job.' Police are reportedly issuing a search warrant for the apartment, and a forensic investigation is said to be underway in the apartment 7 'This happens way too often,' said Snelling Credit: Facebook

Pheobe Bishop's mum 'ripped apart' as body found in search of missing teen

On Friday, a body was discovered close to the Good Night Scrub National Park, near Gin Gin, in Queensland. Pheobe Bishop 's mum has told how she has been "ripped apart" after police discovered a body in search of the missing teen. The 17-year-old vanished after failing to check in for her flight at Bundaberg Regional Airport in Queensland on the morning of May 15. The search for the teenager gripped the nation and earlier this week, her flatmates James and Tanika Bromley were arrested and charged with one count of murder and two counts each of interfering with a corpse. On Friday, a body was discovered close to the Good Night Scrub National Park, near Gin Gin, in Queensland. State police said: "The remains are yet to be formally identified; however, investigators are in contact with the family of missing 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop." The teenager's heartbroken mum, Kylie Johynson, wrote on Facebook: 'I didn't think my heart could break anymore then it did when you went missing, or when the charges where laid but this! This is ripping me apart…' The update from police on the discovery of the body also stated: 'The brief search commenced after further enquires and investigations today, with the discovery being made by specialist units around 2.30pm. "The remains are yet to be formally identified; however, investigators are in contact with the family of missing 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop. A crime scene has been declared at the location and forensic examinations are continuing.' And it also made an appeal to the public over a car. 'Police continue to appeal for any information in relation to Pheobe Bishop or the movement of a grey Hyundai IX35 between May 15 to 18 in the greater Gin Gin area. Investigations continue,' it stated. Detectives believe that Pheobe was in a car with her housemates when it arrived close to Bundaberg Airport on May 15 but that she never boarded a flight to Western Australia to reunite with her boyfriend. Pheobe's mum earlier today wrote on social media that a candlelit vigil would be held for her daughter on Sunday, June 8. She said: "This is for our amazing community!
