Beyoncé lights up New York on night three with fresh looks, spotlighting Black-owned brand
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter delivered once again on night three of her "Cowboy Carter" tour in New York, and this time she was sure to spotlight a Black-owned brand in the process.
The Grammy-winning singer hit the stage for the third night of her MetLife Stadium stop in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on May 25. She has five concerts in the New York area on her Cowboy Carter and Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. She is set to perform on the same stage on May 28 and 29.
Once again, Beyoncé commanded the stage with a groundbreaking performance bursting with electric energy and stunning new looks. The crowd was a mix of passionate fans and celebrity faces, including household names such as Selena Gomez.
"I know I have the most incredible fans in the world in the world. I love y'all," Beyoncé told her fans during her performance.
Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. She performed a total of five shows there, putting on a revolutionary show filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary.
As fans know, Beyoncé first released the 27-track project in March 2024. It has since made history and broken multiple records. As Beyoncé's first country album, she deliberately featured country legends and emerging Black country artists alike. She became the first Black woman to win best country album at the 2025 Grammys and also took home album of the year.
And Sunday night Beyoncé not only made sure to spotlight Black artists in her music but with her outfits as well.
Beyoncé debuted an all-new look featuring sparkly denim, thigh-high chaps and a bodysuit that clearly showcased the Black-owned brand Telfar. And fans were quick to make note of the the outfit.
One fan wrote, "Beyonce in Telfar is all I needed tbh." While another said, "These custom Telfar outfits Beyoncé and the dancers are wearing are sickening!"
Of course, Beyoncé's tour has been a full showcase of new looks and creativity and Sunday was no exceptipn. Night after night, Beyoncé continues to blend high fashion and cowboy couture, keeping fans on the edge of their seats as they anticipate a new look. There have been many looks incorporating Western-glam: sparkly chaps, cowboy hats, boots and piles of fringe.
The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26. Beyoncé has already made history with her scheduled tour dates, including by playing the most dates at SoFi Stadium of any artist.

Fact Check: Taylor Swift didn't activate 'Eras Tour' wristbands to inform fans about regaining rights to her music
Claim: Taylor Swift activated wristbands from her "Eras Tour" as a way to signal her fans that she'd regained control of her original recordings. Rating: In May 2025, superstar recording artist Taylor Swift announced she'd regained ownership of her first six albums following a public battle with investor Scooter Braun. In 2019, Braun bought the label that released Swift's first six albums, Big Machine Records. This prompted the artist to begin rerecording her early albums as a way to regain control of her music. Braun subsequently sold Swift's original recordings to a capital investment firm and she had been trying to reacquire them since. Excited fans celebrated Swift's victory, which included many users on TikTok sharing videos (archived, archived, archived) of a special bracelet they'd taken home from Swift's "Eras Tour" — a career-encompassing stadium tour in which Swift performed songs from all of her "eras" — seemingly lighting up in celebration. One TikTok video (archived) even called the allegedly glowing bracelet a "Swifty bat signal," suggesting Swift was using the device as a mode of communication with her fans. Some users seemed to interpret the claim as fact, thinking Swift remotely activated the bracelets as a way to fill them in on the good news. @saronthings I mean … how special is that, what a lovely way for #taylorswift to include her fans it this well earned moment. #popculture #erastour #swiftie #swifttok ♬ Cruel Summer — Taylor Swift However, there is no evidence that Taylor Swift remotely activated the "Eras Tour" bracelets to celebrate the acquisition of her master recordings. The claim is false. As one TikTok video (archived) pointed out, the bracelets can be activated by removing a plastic tab on the side of the device and deactivated by replacing it. Remote activation of the bracelets requires proximity to a console that controls smart lights. Snopes reached out to Swift's management and the creators of the device, a company called PixMob, for comment. The wristbands are meant to sync with other production effects during a show, providing something of a light show using the audience members, as shown below. (Getty Images) The PixMob website detailing its contribution to the "Eras Tour" reads, "When fans enter each venue … they are handed a PixMob LED wristband to become part of the show … the light up wristbands are controlled live with PixMob wireless DMX technology over infrared light." DMX technology is short for Digital Multiplex, which is "the standard digital communication protocol that is used to remotely control intelligent lighting fixtures," according to stage lighting company Stage Electrics. Typically this is controlled from a console plugged directly into lighting equipment, but PixMob's use of infrared wireless technology is what allows it to control the lighting effects of its wristbands. However, the range of infrared technology is limited, which is why it works within a stadium during the performance but would not be able to be controlled as remotely as the claims assert. Put simply, think of it as the remote control of a television being out of range. PixMob created similar experiences for artists including Coldplay, Shakira and Bad Bunny as well as sporting events such as the 2024 Olympic Games and the 2025 Super Bowl. Woman Picks Up Dog From Daycare, Then Learns Where They Put Him All Day
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The reason a dog was deemed a "father" at doggy daycare left the owner pleasantly surprised. Pet parent TJ, known on TikTok as @tj_cosplays, picked up their dog named Cubby from daycare one day and left with new information about their canine. Much to her surprise, the doggy daycare volunteered Cubby to be a stand-in "father" at the facility. Not that TJ doesn't believe Cubby could be a great father. She knows he's a sweet and gentle dog, but she's not used to hearing about his praise around other dogs, especially involving puppies. "He gets along well with dogs at daycare, but is leash reactive," TJ told Newsweek via TikTok. "I've never seen him around puppies before, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear he does well with them." In his new role at the daycare, workers place Cubby in the puppy group. He helps teach them to be a dog. TJ explained in a May 20 TikTok video (@tj_cosplays) that the daycare praised Cubby's "good temperament," earning him the title of "uncle" in the mom-and-pop group. While with the pups, Cubby shows them how to dog. He'll correct the puppies for any unwanted behavior or if they're being too hyper when needed. Surprised by this new job for Cubby, TJ said she jokingly responded to the daycare: "You mean MY dog?" She said: "Everyone keeps saying he's a good boy, but when I dropped him off that weekend, he was literally trying to drag me by my clothes back with him." Viewer Reactions As of Tuesday, the TikTok video reached over 4.6 million views and 823,200 likes. People praised Cubby for his promotion at the daycare, whether he wanted the new position or not. "When you accidentally get too important at work," commented a viewer, while a second added: "He's not going to daycare he's going to work." A third person pointed out: "The awkward rolling around when mom is bragging about you." Several doggy daycare employees chimed in: "As someone who manages a daycare, y'all should take that as high praise. It takes a very specific dog to be able to be trusted to do that." Former Eagles Star Gives Stunning Revelation on Jalen Carter
Former Eagles Star Gives Stunning Revelation on Jalen Carter originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Since coming to the Philadelphia Eagles via the 2023 NFL Draft, ninth-overall pick Jalen Carter has been a force to be reckoned with. Advertisement Nicknamed "Baby Donald" as a comparison to perennial All-Pro and future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Donald, Carter has been a driving force for the team over the last two seasons. He has recorded 10.5 sacks in two seasons as an interior rusher, to go along with a Pro Bowl and All-Pro nod last season. During the 2024 Super Bowl season, Carter was a huge part of the top-ranked defense in the league. Now, one former Eagles legend is dishing out some secrets about the former Georgia star. .... And it all only adds further intrigue to how good a player he can be. Jeremiah Trotter Sr., the former All-Pro of the Eagles in the 2000s, spoke on the team's flagship radio station, 94.1 WIP, to speak about Carter's brilliance. Advertisement What Trotter reveals is shocking. ... in a positive way. 'Nothing he's doing surprises me. Word is on the street, he doesn't even know how to play the position yet," Trotter said. "From guys I talk to inside, he doesn't even know how to play the position yet. He's just playing off of raw talent. The sky is the limit for this kid, I'm excited about his future.' Considering Trotter's son is on the team currently, it's a safe bet to assume that the linebacker's report is correct. And again ... it is shocking, to say the least. To realize that the 24-year-old hasn't even begun to master his own position, and can still dominate at this level is eye-opening. And it adds further context to his "Baby Donald" nickname. Advertisement Donald previously tabbed Carter as his heir shortly after retiring form the Rams. ... and if the Eagles star keeps this up, he may just make the Hall-of-Famer look prescient.
