
Multiple vehicles vandalised at Guernsey garage
About 20 vehicles were vandalised at a garage in Guernsey during an overnight incident, police have said.Guernsey Police said "significant damage" was caused during the incident which took place at Thompson Motors on Route de L'Eglise in Castel at some point between 04:00 BST and 05:00 on Wednesday.The force said in a post on Facebook it had already secured CCTV footage from the garage but would like to hear from anyone who might have witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time.Anyone with information has been asked to contact police or the Crimestoppers charity.

Watch: Man ‘being deported' flees plane at Heathrow
A man who was filmed being chased across the tarmac at Heathrow Airport was in the process of being deported when he tried to escape, The Telegraph understands. Footage posted online showed the man sprinting away from airport staff as passenger jets took off and landed close by. The incident lasted several minutes before the man was apprehended by workers wearing hi-vis vests. He was detained on the ground with the support of police officers who were also on the scene. After being restrained, he was returned to the flight he had been due to board and is understood to have now left the UK. A Heathrow spokesman said: 'Working with partners, we have quickly resolved an incident at the airport involving an individual who accessed the airfield taxiway. The individual has been removed from the airport. 'The airport continues to operate as normal, and passengers are travelling as planned.'

Man seriously injured in assault outside Huthwaite pub
Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured in an assault outside a pub in services were called to Main Street, Huthwaite, near the Market Inn, at about 21:20 BST on Police said a 31-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of affray and remained in victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with "serious injuries" after what was believed to be an "isolated incident". Det Insp Matt Scott said: "Officers are following a number of lines of inquiry and residents can expect to see a police presence in the area during the rest of the day."We believe this was an isolated incident, but understand people in the village may be concerned. I'd urge them to speak to an officer."Detectives said they were analysing CCTV in the area and called for witnesses to come Market Inn said it was closed on Monday "out of respect due to what's happened".
