Verizon reps are fighting their own AI and your bill might be caught in the crossfire
AI is showing up everywhere these days and Verizon is no exception. But while the tech is supposed to make things easier, many Verizon reps are saying it's doing the opposite. Just recently, we covered how employees aren't too happy with the company's AI tools.
Now, even more are speaking out, especially about one tool in particular: Personal Shopper. It's supposed to save time, but instead, it's adding stuff customers didn't ask for – which, of course, means higher bills.
– btaginc, Reddit, May 2025 The worst part? Even when reps try to fix it, the system won't let them remove those add-ons – at least not until the billing cycle ends. And this issue isn't isolated. Personal Shopper recently rolled out to Verizon 's indirect reps and that is when more of these problems started surfacing.
Now, here is the irony: when Verizon first introduced Personal Shopper and its sibling AI, Problem Solver, the company said it helped cut down transaction times by three minutes. In real-world use, though? Doesn't seem to be holding up.

As more employees file support tickets and flag the tool's problems, hopefully Verizon starts paying attention. Because a rushed rep trying to dodge AI errors definitely isn't a win for the customer. So next time you are working with a Verizon rep, maybe give them a little extra time – they might be dealing with more tech than they'd like.Right now, Verizon employees are basically stuck with the system. Some have found small workarounds, but it is far from ideal. And as AI continues creeping into every corner of daily life, we are probably going to hear even more stories like this – not just from Verizon , but from other carriers too.
T-Mobile, for example, uses AI as well. Its PromoGenius app helps customer service reps quickly find info on deals, discounts, and trade-ins. And with plans to expand AI across more of its operations, don't be surprised if similar complaints start popping up from T-Mobile reps, too.

Motorola Razr+ 2025 in for review
We did the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra review, and the Razr 2025 review is underway. Now it's time to welcome the third and final member of the series - the Razr+ 2025, which is exclusive to North America and doesn't have a global version unlike its siblings. Motorola Razr+ 2025 This one sits in the middle of the pack, below the Ultra, above the vanilla. Indeed, it packs some superior specs to the regular Razr 2025 in most categories. The SoC is a more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with more RAM (12GB vs 8GB). It lacks an ultrawide but offers a 50MP 2x zoom instead. Both displays are better - the inner one has 165Hz refresh rate, while the cover screen is larger at 4 inches vs 3.6 inches. Where the Razr+ 2025 is below its counterparts is in the battery capacity - it's 4,000mAh vs the 4,500mAh on the vanilla and 4,700mAh on the Ultra. Our Razr+ 2025 features the Mocha Mousse paint job. There're also Hot Pink, Peach Fuzz, Spring Green, and Midnight Blue versions. There's a single 12/256GB config to choose from, and it ships with a USB-C cable. The Razr+ 2025 is $799 at the time of this article - down from $999. We've said it time and time again, but Motorola is truly in a league of its own when it comes to phone colors. The Razr+ 2025 looks unique. It feels great too, with a very grippy leather-like finish on the back panel. The hinge is perfectly weighed - not too firm, but it's not soft and vague. Top marks on hardware! Motorola Razr+ 2025 in Mocha Mousse There's also something to be said of Motorola's take on Android. Some of us would go as far as calling it the best Android skin there is, thanks to pixel-perfect scaling throughout the OS, and lovely visuals. On the other hand we need to mention a gripe we have with the Razr+ 2025. Its display came in a Neutral color profile by default, and it's lifeless - very desaturated and dull. Not a big issue, though - you can put the screen in a Vivid mode to rectify this. Interestingly, the Razr 2025 came in Vivid by default. Our review is underway so stay tuned!

June Pixel Drop lands with Pixel VIPs, AI photo magic, and Gboard glow-up
The June Pixel Drop is now here for Pixels and brings quite a lot of new features and updates, including Pixel VIPs, custom stickers in Gboard, and advanced accessibility features. Also, Android 16 is now starting to roll out as well. Here's what the June Pixel Drop is bringing to your Pixel!There's a new Pixel VIPs widget from the Contacts app, tailored to help you give priority to the most important people in your life, like friends and family. The more details you add about your favorite people (like birthdays, emails, home addresses, and preferences), the fuller the Pixel VIPs experience will be. You can view your last call and message (including WhatsApp ones) with each VIP, see their location when shared, and even get reminders for important events like their birthday. You can add more info about the most important people in your life. | Image credit – Google On top of that, VIPs can also bypass Do Not Disturb, so you never miss a message from a special someone in your life. The feature is available on Pixel 6 and newer, and supports Google Messages and WhatsApp services. Another fun feature coming with the June Pixel Drop is the ability to create a sticker of nearly anything you can imagine. Using Pixel Studio and generative AI, you can get any sticker you want right away. As usual with AI, you'll have to type your prompt, choose an emotion, and then you can send it, without having to switch apps. What's even better is you can make stickers from photos as well: the background of the image will be automatically removed and the object becomes your sticker. The feature is available for Pixel 9 phones in select countries and currently supports English, Japanese, and German only. Google is also making some cool Pixel features available to more users. One of them is Satellite SOS, which is now available in Australia. Satellite SOS allows you to connect with emergency services in areas where there's no cellular connectivity or Wi-Fi availability. Satellite SOS is supported on phones from the Pixel 9 series. The service is currently available in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Europe, and now Australia. Meanwhile, the Recorder app gains the ability to offer you AI-generated summaries of recordings in French and German. Right now, the Pixel 9 series can get summaries in English, Japanese, German, and French, while for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 9a, the feature is available in English only. Photography enthusiasts also have what to be excited about with the June Pixel Drop. There's a new education hub that will help you take advantage of all the features in Pixel Camera. You can now tap the question mark icon in the upper right-hand corner of Pixel's Camera and then see visual inspiration for each mode. Also, the app will now offer you how-to instructions to achieve the best effect. With this update, you can now use live search in the Magnifier app (Pixel 5 and newer, without the foldables) which will help you learn more about your surroundings, without the need to take a photo.
