7 customization features we need in GTA 6 (That GTA 5 skipped)

GTA 5 was a game-changer, but in 2025, we expect more than just a haircut and a suit change. Rockstar, if you're listening, we need deeper, wilder, and more personal customization in GTA 6.
As the hype for GTA 6 builds harder than a five-star wanted level, here are seven killer features we'd love to see that GTA 5 totally ghosted.
1. Apartment + Safehouse Interiors You Can Actually Customize
Yeah, we could buy luxury penthouses in GTA Online. But could we move a couch? Change the wallpaper? Add a neon flamingo? Nope. Let GTA 6 go full Animal Crossing meets Scarface. Give us modular décor, customizable room layouts, and the ability to flex our style from the moment someone steps through the door.
Interior design, but make it dangerous.
GTA 6 CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION! Everything We Know!
2. Full Character Customization (We Mean FULL)
GTA 5 gave us three protagonists with set stories and looks. Cool, but limiting. GTA Online kinda let us customize our avatars, but it felt like Sims 2 with a streetwear filter. All three protagonists in GTA 5 looked like they bench pressed Teslas. We need body sliders: bulk up, slim down, get a dad bod, or be jacked like a Marvel hero. It's 2025, and character diversity is non-negotiable.

3. Car Interiors Matter Too
We've modded car exteriors to the moon and back, but when's the last time you cared what the inside of your ride looked like in GTA 5? Exactly. GTA 6 should let us pimp the interiors with custom dashboards, LED lights, steering wheels, upholstery, give us fuzzy dice and anime seat covers. If we're committing crimes, let's do it in style.
4. More Hair Textures, Styles, and Realism
Why did GTA 5 have more car rims than hairstyles? GTA 6 should serve salon realness. Coily hair, fades, braids, mullets, mohawks—we need it all.
And please, make hair grow over time like in Red Dead Redemption 2. Let us live that mid-game glow-up arc.
5. Tattoos That Evolve (And Actually Look Cool)
Tattoos in GTA 5? Worse. Half the time, they looked like blurry stickers. GTA 6 needs a glow-up here. We want tattoos that age, fade, or get added to over time. Maybe story events unlock special ink? Give us tribal, biomech, watercolor, even blackout sleeves. Go off.
6. Custom Weapons (Yes, Let Us Paint Our Guns)
The weapon skins in GTA 5 were very boring and monotonous.
But weapon personalization in GTA 6 should let us engrave our handles, spray-paint our rifles, and attach charms like it's Call of Duty meets Etsy. This isn't just about function, it's about flex.
Every Animal Spotted in GTA VI Trailers So Far
7. Pet Companions (Yes, We're Serious)
Chop was a fun sidekick, but he was Franklin-exclusive. In GTA 6, everyone deserves a furry (or scaly?) crime partner. Let us adopt dogs, cats, snakes, maybe even a monkey. Train them, name them, and have them ride shotgun during heists.
GTA 6 has a real chance to break the mold and finally give players the freedom to
fully
express themselves. In a world where even your phone case says something about you, why shouldn't your in-game persona? Your move, Rockstar. Don't hold back. We're ready to make chaos look good.

Top 5 gameplay changes we could see if weight mechanics return in GTA 6

GTA 6 is looking to be Rockstar's most ambitious title yet, and if the whispers are to be believed, weight mechanics may be returning, just as they were in San Andreas. This mechanic brought with it a welcome layer of realism back in 2004, and its return in GTA 6 may have a profound impact on gameplay in new and engaging ways. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Here are five major ways weight mechanics could change the experience. 1. Stamina and movement speed impacted by weight If your character gains weight, you'll move slower, tire sooner, and even find it harder to parkour or climb. A lighter or more athletic character might be able to run for longer, swim quicker, and sustain longer chases, introducing genuine consequences for in-game fitness and increasing the complexity of missions involving agility and stamina. 2. Combat and melee mechanics Weight may affect hand-to-hand fighting, with more weighty characters dealing more powerful melee attacks but being less agile. More slender builds could enable quicker dodges and faster reflexes, introducing strategic depth to fights and brawls on the street. In-game characters could even have to select their fighting style according to their current build. 3. Clothing and customization limitations With the changing body shapes, clothing sizes may be important. It could restrict or enable certain clothing choices depending on your character's weight. It provides immersion but also provides players with an added incentive to remain interested in gyms, fast food restaurants, and other lifestyle mechanics. Character development would be more intimate and tangible. 4. NPC responses and roleplay aspects The world may react in a dynamic way to your character's arrival. Similar to San Andreas, NPCs could comment on your size, and certain activities such as dating or recruitment into gangs may be dependent on your character's physique, increasing roleplay value and replayability in both single-player and GTA Online. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now 5. Health, diet, and fitness systems Weight mechanics would likely tie into a broader health system involving diet choices and exercise routines. Eating fast food frequently could lead to weight gain, while regular gym visits or sports minigames might be required to stay fit, making everyday decisions feel impactful and adding longevity to sandbox exploration. If Rockstar introduces weight mechanics to GTA 6, it could add depth to gameplay in significant ways—immersion and realism, roleplay and strategy. This can potentially make every decision, from what you eat for breakfast to how you take down enemies, more important than ever in the Grand Theft Auto universe. It's the type of depth that can make GTA 6 stand out among every open-world competitor. Also Read:
