I spend 3 hours a day doing my make-up & even sleep with it on like Dolly Parton…but my eyelids get glued together
Just like Dolly Parton, Maureen, 49, even sleeps with her makeup on, despite sometimes waking up with an eye infection because of it.

The US country singer previously admitted that she also sleeps with a full face of makeup so she's always 'ready to go.'
Dolly explained that she's been doing this since the 1980s, particularly while living in California, where the fear of earthquakes meant she didn't want to be caught off guard in an emergency.
Similarly, Maureen wears her makeup no matter what – even if it's just to pop outside to the post box.
Appearing on TLC's documentary My Strange Addiction, Maureen, from New York, shared her daily routine.
She said: 'The only time I take off my makeup is when I'm in the shower. I even sleep in my makeup.
Sometimes when I wear my eyeliner to bed, I wake up and my eyes are stuck together. I guess I want to be glamorous 24-7.'
Speaking to a doctor on the show, Maureen revealed that she sometimes has to 'pry [her eyes] open' in the morning and that they can occasionally appear bloodshot.
The doctor explained that this was a sign of inflammation and warned her it could lead to more serious eye problems.
'Mascara and eyeliner actually can cause pigmentation in the whites of the eyes. That's permanent,' the doctor cautioned.
Maureen also asked whether leaving makeup on her skin was ageing her.
I'm a 34-year-old mum and tried the unrecognisable make-up trend - people say I look like a new person
The doctor explained: 'There is some theory that if you leave makeup on long enough and it causes a low-grade chronic inflammation, that the chronic inflammation might accelerate ageing.'
Her unusual habit has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many viewers praising her natural beauty.
One person wrote: 'She looks so much younger without makeup.'
Another commented: 'Actually, her skin and face is so pretty without the makeup.'

Others, however, were baffled by her routine. One asked: 'The rest I can vaguely understand.
But why does she sleep with it on?? That sounds so uncomfortable.'
Meanwhile, a fourth added: 'Three hours?! There's no fricken way it should take that long.'

Kate Gosselin, 50, reveals she has gone BACK to her $30 an hour job... after spending her fortune on lawyers
Kate Gosselin has given the real reason why she is working 12-hour shifts following her reality TV stint. The 50-year-old TV personality - who gained recognition for appearing in the TLC series Jon & Kate Plus 8 - got candid with fans about her financial situation after uploading a TikTok video on Monday. Kate was previously married to Jon Gosselin from 1999 until their divorce in 2009. They share eight children: twins Cara and Madelyn, 24, and sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Joel, Aaden, Alexis and Leah, all 21. The star's time on TLC came to an end when Kate Plus 8 aired its final episode in 2011. In the clip, Kate could be seen doing dishes after working a long shift as a nurse in the pediatric field which earns about $30 an hour in most states. She later jumped to the comment section to respond to questions from fans. When one said they thought she would be 'set for life' after the TLC show, Kate replied, 'I wish. I spent sooooooo much money on attorneys. That killed us! :( so sad!' The media personality appeared to be referencing to her divorce from Jon which was finalized in December 2009. Her request for primary custody of their eight children was granted and she also gained ownership of their family home. But Jon later got sole custody of Collin and his sister Hannah back in 2018. Another follower asked Kate 'what happened with all the income from the show' while referencing to the star's long shifts. 'Honestly? Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS,' she explained. 'Sickening but I was drug into court constantly and that costs A TON. Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved and I could have a retirement saved if it weren't for the lawyers :(.' However, Kate told the fan that it was 'okay' while adding that she is 'helping other families and I feel needed and I enjoy helping!' The TV personality also gave insight into her job as a nurse and stated that she works in 'pediatric home health care.' 'Honestly? Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS,' she explained The TV personality also gave insight into her job as a nurse and stated that she works in 'pediatric home health care' When one asked, 'How long have you been a nurse for?' Kate replied with, '28 years. Wow. That made me feel super old to type that number.' She also revealed that some of her children will live with her at home in between semesters at college. In regards to what the mom-of-eight misses about her time on reality TV, Kate expressed, 'I miss our house in Pa. 'But mainly I miss when the kids were little. Not the stress, just their cuteness. At the time it felt like the days were long... but in hindsight it sped by. And I'm sad :(.' Late last year in October, a source claimed that Kate was 'hurting for money' and 'still trying to get a new show.' Kate officially launched her TikTok account last month in July and has since amassed around 184K followers. Her son Collin also recently joined the social media platform and made a heartbreaking claim last week as he reached out to his estranged siblings through an emotional message. The college student alleged in a post that he and his siblings were 'forced apart' and 'pitted against each other.' The college student alleged in a post that he and his siblings were 'forced apart' and 'pitted against each other; Collin seen above Collin included a throwback photo of himself with his brothers and sisters while adding the text, 'Born to be a team, us against the world...' A second slide showed the Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum in the driver's seat of a car and he wrote, 'Forced to do it alone, and wonder everyday what our lives could've looked like.' In the caption of the post, Collin also claimed, 'Forced apart, pitted against each other. All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids? 'I will always love them more than anything. The tears I shed behind closed doors, thinking about the memories we could've shared. I love you guys...' Daily Mail has reached out to both Kate and Jon's reps for comment. Collin has notably been estranged from his mother Kate as well as most of his siblings for many years. However, he is close to his father Jon - who got sole custody of Collin and his sister Hannah back in 2018. One TikTok user questioned if Collin still has a close relationship with his sister Hannah, to which he replied, 'Yes I just her today! 'She was worried her car wouldn't pass inspection so I was looking at it for her. She's so funny and I love her sm. It makes my day whenever I see her, but we're both so busy with work, school etc.' Another typed, 'if you choose to have kids one day and be involved, you'll understand your mother more.' Collin responded to the fan by claiming that he suffered both 'physical and emotional abuse' by his mother 'while having to be an animal in her circus on tv.' He added, 'Being locked up, isolated, zip tied. Being sent away because I didn't fit into an equation. 'Having one visit from her after being completely cut off with no contact at 12 years old, in which the whole visit was her telling me how I deserved the situation I was in because I "destroyed our family." Yeah I'm sorry, but I will never "understand" that. I will break the cycle that she couldn't.' Last year in September, Collin claimed that his mother Kate 'zip-tied his arms and legs and locked him in basement as a child' during an interview with The U.S. Sun. And back in 2023 on Vice TV's Dark Side of the 2000s, he talked about being sent away at the age of 12 to an institution, and alleged that his mother, Kate, did so to prevent him from discussing how he was being treated at home. He also claimed last year that he was 'discharged' from the Marines due to Kate sending him to the behavioral institution in 2016. On TikTok, Collin also confirmed that he is in the process of writing a book, which he called 'an exciting opportunity.' Earlier this year in March, Collin announced his new career venture and revealed he established a power-washing company in Pennsylvania, which he has 'officially filed as an LLC.' The new career path came less than a year after he announced his discharge from the Marines, for which he blamed on his estranged mother Kate for sending him to a behavioral institution in 2016 when he was just 12.

Kelly Clarkson gets moving advice from friend Dolly Parton after the death of ex-husband Brandon Blackstock
Dolly Parton offered her friend Kelly Clarkson words of support in the wake of the death of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock last week at 48 after a battle with melanoma. Parton's advice for the 43-year-old singer came from a place of experience, as she lost her husband, Carl Dean, just five months earlier. Dean, who eschewed the spotlight, died in March at 82 after being married to the 79-year-old country music icon for 58 years. Parton's shared her words of advice shortly after her friend and fellow country singer Reba McEntire — who was Blackstock's former stepmother — broke her silence about his death. Blackstock's father, film producer Narvel Blackstock, was married to McEntire from 1989–2015, and they share a son, Blackstock's half-brother Shelby, 35. In a short video interview with Entertainment Tonight, Parton urged Kelly and Reba to focus on the happier memories they had of their late loved one. 'I think that you just have to be grateful for the years that you've had with someone, and just try to remember the very best of all that,' Parton said. She suggested that those dealing with grief should take the 'energy' from those better times in the past and 'just recycle that' and 'let that become a part of you.' Parton added that Clarkson and McEntire should 'honor their memory,' and the popular singers could take comfort in knowing that their loved ones 'are in a better place than we are these days.' The 9 To 5 singer was also asked about whether she had contacted Clarkson yet to share her condolences after her ex-husband's death. 'No, I have not,' Parton said, adding that she had been so busy promoting her new memoir Star Of The Show: My Life On Stage that she hadn't had a chance to contact the former American Idol winner. 'But I will, I'll catch up with her,' Parton added. She also noted that she would have a chance to see McEntire soon in the flesh, as they were going to be working together on the day the interview was taped to handle publicity for her new book. 'I love Reba and I love Kelly,' Parton declared, before delving into how difficult it is to keep up with her friends in show business. 'I have a lot of friends in the business,' the singer–songwriter continued, adding that she doesn't often 'get to really visit them.' 'People always say, "Who are your best friends?" I always say, "Well, my best friends are my family, my sisters,"' she explained. 'I don't have time to get out and socialize.' Blackstock looked frail when he was last pictured in March of this year at the Houston Rodeo in a group photo featuring McEntire and his daughter Savannah — from his previous marriage to Melissa Ashworth — who held his grandson Lake on her lap. In March, Parton suffered a tragedy closer to home when her longtime husband Carl Dean died on March 3 after nearly 60 years of marriage. In her heartbreaking tribute, the singer reflected on the 'many wonderful years' the pair spent together as she expressed her deep love for Dean and thanked fans for their prayers. 'Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can't do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy,' Parton wrote. The couple had been married since 1966. In 2024, Parton gave a rare glimpse into her marriage and revealed why her 'homebody' husband refused to attend public events with her. 'Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can't do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy,' Parton wrote. They had been married since 1966, but Dean was a 'homebody' and avoided public appearances with her Speaking on an episode of Bunnie Xo's Dumb Blonde Podcast, the star revealed that while her husband 'loves' music, he wass 'not the least bit interested in being in it.' While looking back an an important early event in their marriage, Parton revealed that she had convinced her husband to join her at an awards show in 1967, where she won BMI Song of the Year. Despite her triumph, Dean was miserable at the event, and she recalled him telling her afterward: 'I wish you the best, but don't ever ask me to go to another one of these damn things because I ain't going.' True to his word, Dean never joined her at another awards show and stayed out of the spotlight, though that didn't seem to have diminished her love for him in the least.

Coronation Street star Maureen Lipman considering plastic surgery after soap role
Dame Maureen Lipman returned to Coronation Street back in 2018, which is sixteen years after she first starred as Lillian Spencer, and she now plays the role of Evelyn Plummer Dame Maureen Lipman has opened up about how starring in Coronation Street has made her think about getting plastic surgery. The actress first step foot on the cobbles in a guest appearance as Lillian Spencer and has now been a regular face since 2018 playing Evelyn Plummer. The 79-year-old talked about how she felt about how she looked in an interview three years ago. She has said that she hasn't thought about really going under the knife but there is one thing that she'd like to tweak. In a resurfaced interview, Maureen said that while watching herself back on the ITV soap, she had noticed bags under her eyes. Pointing these out, she said this is an area she'd like to have "tidied up". It comes after a Coronation Street and Mrs Brown's Boys actor dies after short illness. Speaking to the Daily Mail, she was asked if she'd have plastic surgery to which she said: "No, but I might have the bags under my eyes tidied up. I sometimes watch myself under the harsh lightning of Coronation Street and I can get a bit neurotic about how I look." The star has also shed light on some of the challenges when it comes to being an actress on a popular soap. Fans have noticed that she has been absent from recent episodes due to her taking a break from filming. Maureen said that she has no plans to retire, insisting she'll "carry on as much as I'm wanted" or until she can't physically continue. Despite loving her role on the soap, she acknowledges there's a "big problem" with the nature of filming for such a popular ITV series. On the 20 Questions podcast, Maureen revealed: "One of the problems of being in a soap, for example, is that because you are doing eight or 10 scenes a day, you read it, you move it, and then you film it. Thank you." Explaining the rapid pace of production, she said: "You might get another crack if something has gone wrong technically, but on the whole, that's it. It's almost like radio but there are cameras there, so you can't do anything. People are just talking heads." Maureen has had an impressive career which first started back in 1971. Her first job was with the National Theatre Company before she later transitioned to television, making her debut in the sitcom The Lovers in 1975. Her breakout role came four years later in the sitcom Agony. In 1987, she landed the part of Beatrice "Beattie" Bellman in the adverts for BT. She particularly rose to fame with the iconic "You Got an Ology" advert, which became so popular that people would shout it back to her on the streets.
