Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo signs new deal
Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has signed a new three-year contract, extending his commitment to the club until at least 2028.
The 51-year-old was rewarded for guiding Forest to a seventh-place finish in the Premier League last season, securing European qualification for the first time since 1995-96.
This achievement marks the club's highest league finish in 30 years, and they also reached the FA Cup semi-finals before losing to Manchester City.
Nuno expressed his delight to continue at the club, highlighting the strong bond created with players and fans, and thanked owner Evangelos Marinakis for his constant support.
Marinakis praised Nuno's impact, ability to maximize player performance, and shared ambition to achieve further success in the Premier League, Europe, and win trophies.

He is Spanish so we are starting to have a good relationship.' Gonzalez's signing came alongside those of Omar Marmoush, Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov in the mid-season transfer window as City began to respond to their underwhelming season. The squad overhaul has continued with the arrivals of Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders and Marcus Bettinelli this month. Yet while City have clearly decided fresh faces are required after a failure to mount a strong title challenge and a premature Champions League exit, Gonzalez does not feel there was ever anything wrong with the spirit. He said: 'The mentality of all these players was always good. I don't think the mentality is what didn't make us win a trophy. I think the attitude and mentality was really good. 'Sometimes you have a better season, sometimes worse. I hope this season is the best possible.' City play their second match at the Club World Cup, and could secure a place in the last 16, when they face Al Ain of Abu Dhabi in Atlanta on Sunday night (2am Monday BST).

Moises Caicedo says Chelsea will learn from Flamengo defeat
The Blues capitulated in the second half in Philadelphia, surrendering a lead to lose 3-1 to the Brazilians and finish with 10 men. Most of the damage was done in a torrid six-minute spell in which they conceded twice and had Nicolas Jackson – just four minutes after coming off the bench – sent off for a reckless tackle. The result leaves them second in Group D with a win and a loss and potentially facing a more difficult route through the competition, with a possible clash against Bayern Munich in the last 16. 'It was difficult to take, but now we are focusing on the next game,' said Caicedo. 'For sure, we need to learn from this game. We need to react. 'I think the team played well but you need to be focused for 95 minutes in this game because, in one second, you can lose the game and that was what happened.'
