Caught on video: Bengaluru woman assaults auto driver with slipper, later apologises claiming pregnancy concerns
A woman named Pankhuri Mishra was arrested in Bengaluru on Sunday after a video surfaced showing her assaulting an auto-rickshaw driver. The incident took place on Saturday and involved an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. The driver, Lokesh, was seen being hit with a slipper by Mishra. The video quickly spread on social media, leading to police action. Mishra was released later on station bail.
Dispute over alleged foot injury
The argument began when Mishra, who was travelling with her husband on a two-wheeler, claimed that the auto driver had run over her foot. Lokesh denied this claim. During the confrontation, Mishra hit the driver multiple times with her slipper. Lokesh said he began recording the incident as the woman was speaking in Hindi and not the local language, Kannada, which made it difficult for bystanders to understand the context.

The NewJeans and ADOR case has taken a completely new turn as the second court hearing was held. The contractual dispute between NewJeans and their management agency has been going on for months, with their second hearing for the case only held recently. In new reports, the K-pop group has refused to reach and negotiate any 'mutual agreements,' citing mistreatment. NewJeans refuses negotiations for mutual agreement In the second hearing half for the dispute case held on June 4, girl group NewJeans completely refused to reach a mutual settlement with their management agency. According to reports in Maeil Business Newspaper, the group was recommended by the 41st Civil Agreement Division of the Seoul Central District Court to reach a settlement with their former agency in order to put the overall case to rest. At the hearing, the girl group completely refused to reach any kind of settlement with the company. ADOR, on the other hand, has expressively made comments that they are willing and open for any kind of mutual settlement talks with the girl group. In a statement they shared that 'once the court's conclusion comes out, a settlement will be easier afterward." Unable to settle due to mistreatment The group cited that due to the trust that has been broken, they cannot settle for any mutual agreement. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo They also shared that the decision is also influenced by the kind of mistreatment they had to undergo during their time with the management company. In a short statement, NewJeans stated that "trust has been completely broken. There's no turning back." They have also shared that their management did not protect the girls from favoritism and partiality, sharing that this went against their contract and that the company was in breach of it. NewJeans' legal representative also issued a statement after being asked by the court whether the girls would be willing to negotiate a settlement deal. In the statement, their legal representative replied with, "The defendants' mental conditions and such things do not seem to be in a situation where we can think of an agreement at this time." More about NewJeans' legal dispute The contractual dispute case has been going on since November last year. The group and their management agency went into a legal battle as the group announced the termination of their contract with the company during a press conference. Their management then later on filed a lawsuit against the group, citing that "just because you unilaterally claim that trust has been broken cannot be a reason for termination." The court later ruled in the company's favor, barring the girls from holding any solo and independent activities under their group name.
