Actor Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja often makes headlines for her bold statements. In a recent interview, Sunita spoke candidly about the difficulties of being a star wife, noting that it requires a strong-headed individual to be married to an actor who spends much of his time with leading ladies.
In a recent conversation with Deccan Talks With Asif, Sunita shared how she dealt with link up rumours of Govinda. She said, 'Its been 38 years. All these link ups used to happen back in the days when we were young. I didn't hear a lot of rumours and even if I did, I didn't bother. I am a very strong headed person.' When asked if she trusted her husband to not be bothered, Sunita quickly replied, 'I used to trust him, I can't say I trust him now.'
Sunita added, 'Dil pe patthar rakhna padta hai hero ki biwi hone ke liye. They spend most of their time with their heroines, and not their wives. I really love Govinda from the bottom of my heart and I will always love him.'

In the same conversation, Sunita Ahuja expressed her desire to see Govinda back on screen, but complained of him being overweight. She shared, 'Being his wife, I am still waiting for him and his films. I can understand his fans anxiety. Govinda should work. He first needs to look at his health and lose at least 20 kgs.'
Previously too, the star wife had talked about Govinda's rumoured link ups and expressed her firm conviction that he will never break his family for any third person. She told Times Now, 'I don't think Govinda can live without me, nor can I live without Govinda. And Govinda can never leave his family for any stupid person or stupid woman.'
Govind and Sunita Ahuja secretly married in 1987. They kept their relationship private until the birth of their daughter Tina in 1988.

Top Advance Bookings At Major National Chains For Opening Day In 2025: Housefull 5 secures 3rd spot among Bollywood movies with 90,000 tickets

The advance bookings for Housefull 5 have wrapped up for its opening day, and the numbers are in. The Akshay Kumar fronted comic caper has sold 90,000 tickets in top national chains like PVRInox and Cinepolis. This places Housefull 5 as the third highest-selling Bollywood film in advance bookings for 2025, trailing behind Chhaava (223,000 tickets) and Sikandar (143,000 tickets). However, these figures are, at best, mediocre for a franchise known for its mass appeal and star-studded cast. Fans and trade analysts expected much stronger advance numbers, given the brand value of the Housefull series. Other Bollywood releases like Raid 2 (86,000 tickets), Sky Force (52,000 tickets), and Badass Ravikumar (47,500 tickets) are behind Housefull 5, but the gap isn't as wide as one would hope for a film of this scale. Films like Kesari 2 (33,000 tickets), Emergency (27,000 tickets) and Jaat (20,000 tickets) round out the list. We had reported that Raid 2 sold 93,000 tickets in top national chains for the opening day in our listicle. To clarify, Raid 2 had sold 93,000 tickets by morning of the day of release. At midnight, the total ticket sales were 86,000. 1. Chhaava - 223,000 tickets 2. Sikandar - 143,000 tickets 3. Housefull 5 - 90,000 tickets 4. Raid 2 - 86,000 tickets 5. Sky Force - 52,000 tickets 6. Badass Ravikumar - 47,500 tickets (Rs 99) 7. Kesari 2 - 33,000 tickets 8. Bhool Chuk Maaf - 30,000 tickets 9. Emergency - 26,000 tickets (Rs 99) 10. Jaat - 20,000 tickets Outside the top national chains, Housefull 5 has performed better, especially in single-screen theaters and smaller centers. However, even these numbers are also not as impressive as they should be for a franchise that thrives on family audiences. The film's advance bookings for the weekend show a ray of hope. Families, eager to enjoy a light-hearted comedy during the festive holiday, have driven relatively stronger ticket sales for Saturday and Sunday. This could give the film a much-needed boost over the opening weekend. Financially, Housefull 5 is in a decent spot before its theatrical release. The makers have already recovered 60 percent of the film's budget through non-theatrical revenues, such as satellite, digital, and music rights. For Housefull 5 to be declared a hit, it needs to aim high at the ticket counters. It must net atleast over Rs 200 crore in India and gross over Rs 325 crore worldwide to be in contention to get a hit tag. Given the franchise's track record, this target is achievable but will depend heavily on positive word-of-mouth and sustained footfalls over the festive period. The Housefull series has always been a crowd-pleaser, banking on its mix of humor, star power, and family-friendly entertainment. But with only 90,000 advance tickets sold in top chains for the opening day, the film hasn't generated the buzz it needed. If Housefull 5 delivers on laughs and entertainment, it could overcome this average start. For now, all eyes are on its opening day performance and how it holds up over the crucial festive weekend.

Housefull 5 Final Advance Booking: Akshay Kumar starrer sells 90,000 tickets in national chains

The Akshay Kumar led Housefull 5 is just hours away from its release, and the advance booking for the comic caper is looking to close in the vicinity of 90,000 tickets. While PVRInox has sold 71,000 tickets, Cinepolis has sold about 19,000 tickets for the opening day as on Thursday at 11.59 PM. The film could open the first show on Friday morning with pre-sales of 1 lakh. To put things to context, Raid 2 had sold 86,000 tickets in the national chains by mid-night and opened the day with an advance of 93,000 tickets. The advance bookings should have been higher by at-least 25 percent for this Akshay Kumar, and this level of pre-sale leaves a lot for the film to make up with the walk-in audience. Housefull 5 has scored the third biggest advance of the year after Chhaava (2,25,000 tickets*) and Sikandar (1,43,000 tickets), though pre-sales in the north of 1.10 lakh would have looked sweeter. The biggest plus for Housefull 5 rests in the fact that the advance booking numbers are genuine and organic, without any external intervention – a bug that has taken over the industry hard in the post-covid era. Housefull is not usually an advance-heavy franchise and hence the hopes are pinned on the film to record stronger than usual walk-ins through the day, and then see a big surge in business on Saturday and Sunday. While the advance booking is about 5 percent better than Raid 2, the collections in advance would be about 25 percent better, as the makers have gone ahead with super blockbuster pricing as compared to popular slab adopted by Raid 2. MovieMax chain on the other hand has sold approx. 3600 tickets, placing itself ahead of films like Salaar (2700 tickets), Fighter (2850 tickets), and Shaitaan (3000 tickets) in the same range as Sikandar (3700 tickets). The film has sold about 4500 tickets in Miraj, as compared to 5000 tickets sold by Fighter. The scenario in non-national chains is a lot better than the national chains, which gives a hope of better performance in the single screens with spot bookings. The data of Rajhans is still awaited and we will update the article by 1 AM with the data too. Interestingly, 70 percent of the total sales all across the board have come for Housefull 5A, and just 30 percent is for Housefull 5B. All in all, its an average result for Housefull 5 in the advance booking, and the hope is on the film to deliver entertainment, leading to big spikes in the business on Saturday and Sunday. The film did gain some sort of momentum on Thursday, which keeps it in the race for a Rs 20 crore start in India, leading to holiday on Saturday and Sunday. The film should be targeting a weekend of at-least Rs 80 crore, and a good talk in the target audience will help it sail through over the weekend.

Bhool Chuk Maaf 2 Weeks Box Office Numbers: Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer stands at Rs 62 crore

Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, has put up a number of Rs 62 crore net at the Indian box office after two weeks. With an OTT release on Amazon Prime slated tomorrow, that is just two weeks post its theatrical debut, the loop-comedy film is gracefully ready to give up its screens to Housefull 5 which gears up for a wide 5000 screen release tomorrow. A final India net number of around Rs 65 crore appears probable. The Day Wise India Net Box Office Numbers Of Bhool Chuk Maaf Are As Under The film opened to Rs 43 crore net in its first week. It added a number of Rs 19 crore in week 2. With Housefull 5 set to dominate screens, Bhool Chuk Maaf is unlikely to add significantly beyond the projected Rs 65 crore mark. Overseas, Bhool Chuk Maaf has failed to make an impact, emerging as a non-starter with international audiences. This is the reason that the spotlight is kept on its domestic performance. Bhool Chuk Maaf's release journey was far from smooth. Due to the war-like situation, Bhool Chuk Maaf faced uncertainty over its release. When the makers considered a direct-to-digital release to bypass further delays, India's biggest movie chain PVRInox voiced strong objections, arguing that such a move undermined theatrical exclusivity. The dispute escalated into a court case. The resolution was that Bhool Chuk Maaf would play in theatres for a couple of weeks before also premiering on OTT. It is now to be seen how the reception of the movie is on Prime Video. Rajkummar Rao moves onto his next movie Maalik. The actor plays a dreaded gangster in the movie. Wamiqa Gabbi has Bhoot Bangla with Akshay Kumar as her next biggie. Producer Dinesh Vijan now prepares for Param Sundari which features Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor. Have you watched Bhool Chuk Maaf yet? If yes, what are your thoughts on the movie? If no, the film is all set to stream digitally on Prime Video.
