
RRB NTPC Exam Date 2025 Revised: CBT 1 exam from June 5 to 24
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced revised exam dates for the RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) 2025 recruitment. The first stage of the graduate-level CBT will now be conducted from June 5 to June 24, extending the exam schedule by a day compared to the earlier 15-day timeline.
According to the latest notice, the RRB NTPC admit card will be released on June 1, 2025, four days prior to the start of the examination. Candidates will be able to download their admit card, exam city intimation slip, e-call letter, and travel authority (where applicable) from the respective regional RRB websites by logging in with their User ID, password, and captcha code.
This year, the RRB NTPC 2025 exam has received a response with over 1.21 crore applicants for over 11,9000 posts across graduate and undergraduate categories. The examination schedule for UG-level posts will be announced separately at a later date.
The RRB NTPC CBT will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The question paper will comprise 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark, to be completed in 90 minutes. PwBD candidates eligible for a scribe will be provided an extra 30 minutes. A negative marking of one-third will be applied for every incorrect response.
As per the official notification, the CBT (Computer-Based Test) for graduate-level posts will be conducted from June 5 to June 23, 2025. Admit cards for the same will be made available on June 1, 2025.
The RRB NTPC 2025 recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 11,558 vacancies, divided across various posts:
Undergraduate Posts (3,445 vacancies): Includes positions such as Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Train Clerk, and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk.
Graduate Posts (8,113 vacancies): Includes roles such as Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Station Master.

NTPC, Bihar govt join hands for plantation drive
Patna: NTPC Eastern Region-I headquarters observed the World Environment Day with a series of environmental initiatives and a special ceremony at their Patna facility on Thursday. The organisation also announced plans for a major plantation initiative in partnership with the Bihar govt for the current fiscal year. Regional executive director Sudip Nag led the celebrations, administering a pledge to employees and emphasising the organisation's commitment to sustainability. "World Environment Day is not merely symbolic but a powerful reminder that we are all stewards of this planet," Nag stated. The celebration included a plantation drive within the township complex. NTPC's commitment to environmental conservation is reflected in their annual nationwide plantation of over 100,000 saplings. The event was attended by senior officials, including GM (OS) Mathew E Kavoor and RHOHR Anil Kumar Chawla.

Candidates who clear the CBT examination will be required to go through Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT). The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will require candidates to: Clear a 1600 metre run within 5 minutes and 45 seconds, a long jump of 14 feet and a high jump of 4 feet (for male candidates). Female candidates must clear a 800 metre run within 3 minutes and 40 seconds, a long jump of 9 feet and a high jump of 3 feet. The Physical Measurement Test (PMT) includes measuring the candidates' height and candidates who have the minimum height as specified by the RPF will be considered eligible for the post of Constable.
