The upcoming third season, adapted from Kotoyama's hit manga, finds the story of insomniac Ko Yamori and mischievous vampire Nazuna Nanakusa taking deeper, darker turns on their late-night escapades. HIDIVE announced that
Anime Expo 2025
attendees will be treated to an exclusive first look at the second episode before it officially premieres.
Call of the Night season 2 to air on Fuji TV's Noitamina Block
Hopeful for a long future, Call of the Night Season 2 will air in July 2025 in Fuji TV's legendary Noitamina programming block, which has previously aired classics such as Psycho-Pass, Erased, and Honey and Clover. The show will run weekly from every Friday at 11:30 p.m. (Japan time), with the streaming on HIDIVE following suit shortly thereafter.

A special preview screening of the season's second episode (first half) will be held at Anime Expo on July 5 at 5:45 p.m. Fans in attendance will get to see the English-subtitled trailer, which has already caused a sensation online.
Previously, HIDIVE streamed the first season of the show as it aired with English subtitles, and then with the addition of an English dub, and so it remains. HIDIVE is the international home for the series. The first season, which premiered last July, quickly developed a cult following for its neon-soaked animation, lo-fi soundtrack, and tragic romance that defies genre.
New characters and returning staff for season 2
Season 2 reunites that original creative team in director Tomoyuki Itamura (Monogatari series), chief director Tetsuya Miyanishi (Josee, The Tiger and the Fish), scriptwriter Michiko Yokote (Cowboy Bebop, Shirobako) and character designer Haruka Sagawa (Happy-Go-Lucky Days). The music is still in the very capable hands of hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts, who previously took care of the opening and ending theme songs.
New to the cast is Rina Satō, who voices the enigmatic, alluring Kiku Hoshimi, who ends up fascinating Ko's pal Mahiru. Her arrival is clearly going to upset the emotional scale and challenge Ko's burgeoning bond with Nazuna.
The manga, first serialized by Shogakukan and printed in English by Viz Media, wrapped up in January 2024 with 20 volumes. As the animated adaptation returns for its second season, it has the chance to discover even more of the story's emotional heart—love, loneliness, and the human craving for connection—even during those dimly-lit hours of the night.
Fans hungry for romance, mystery, and midnight magic will want to tune in this July 2025 to watch Call of the Night Season 2 exclusively on HIDIVE!

We don't know what we were doing — She and I like to say the best thing we got out of those relationships was each other because it was really sweet.' Shane then commented, "Wow, 'I can't believe you heard Love Story before it was released,' to which Gomez responded, 'I know, it was so sweet. She was like, 'Okay I just want to play you this song but just like you know, I don't know it's going to be the first single, I think, I think.' And just hearing her say those little thoughts and just listening to it. Yeah, she is a chameleon, she's incredible.'
