‘SNL': Marcello Hernández Steals The Show & Almost Breaks Character As Acting Coach Who Auditioned For ‘White Lotus' Incest Scene

Yahoo30-03-2025

Marcello Hernández took the spotlight in Saturday Night Live's first sketch of the night following Mikey Madison's monologue.
The comedian played an over-the-top acting coach giving his students tips on landing acting gigs.

One of the students, David, played by Andrew Dismukes, called his acting 'a little distracting. ' Hernández's character recalled his resumé to show he was qualified, name-dropping TV shows including The White Lotus.
'And who's the expert here? You, with zero acting credits or me with three?' Hernández's character fired back.
'Number 1, Wipeout. Busted my face on a big red ball,' he said. 'Number 2, What Would You Do? with John Quiñónes. Did not help and was racist.'
He continued, 'Number 3, White Lotus. Auditioned for the incest scene with my biological brother, and I didn't hate it.'
David asks the teacher, 'So you didn't get the part and you made out with your brother?'
Of course, SNL referred to one of the buzziest storylines of The White Lotus, where the Ratliff Brothers, played by Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola, have a threesome on the show.
Late on in the sketch, Hernández almost broke character with the over-the-top expressions he was doing as the acting coach doing high kicks in a potential ad for Nike. David chimes in again, telling the coach he got the Nike slogan wrong, to which Hernández's character says, 'Go to sleep!'
Off camera, you could hear Hernández laughing at his character's silliness. When the camera cuts back to Hernández, he's saying his lines while trying to contain his laughter.
Hernández continued to power through, and another line he directed at Madison's Connie character almost made him lose it on the live sketch show.
'Connie, my slippery little beaver. Come up here,' Hernández said while trying to contain his laugh.

Wicked: For Good' Trailer Pits Elphaba Vs. Glinda In Battle For Oz: 'There's No Going Back'

The trailer for Jon M. Chu's Wicked: For Good flew onto the scene Wednesday following limited time return-to-theater screenings of the first film. The clip gives a look at Cynthia Erivo's Elphaba and Ariana Grande's Glinda, now on separate sides of a battle for justice in Oz. Wicked: For Good arrives in theaters November 21, 2025. More from Deadline Everything We Know About 'Wicked: For Good' So Far 'Wicked: For Good' First Look: Galinda Exclaims 'Elphaba, They're Coming For You!' – CinemaCon Jon M. Chu Says 'Wicked: For Good' Will Feature More Dorothy: "We Tread Lightly" 'Elphaba Thropp, I know you're out here,' a white gowned Glinda tells the darkness outside her home before turning to see her once best friend, still cloaked in her black witch's garb, on her balcony. 'There's no going back,' Erivo's Elphaba says as she casts spells in a hidden cave. 'This is between the Wizard and I.' Wicked: For Good will star the green and pink duo as well as Jonathan Bailey reprising the role of Fiero, Marissa Bode reprising her role of Nessarose, Ethan Slater reprising his role of Boq and — if the soundtrack gives any clues: Jeff Goldblum returning as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz alongside Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible. RELATED: 'The Wicked Witch can't elude us forever, not with Prince Fiyero and his squadron hot on her trail,' Yeoh's Morrible declares as the clip pans to Bailey's Fiyero in green and gold garb. As Glinda puts on a swirly, sparkly crown, Elphaba tries her hand at skywriting with her broomstick, scrawling 'Our Wizard Lies' in a cloud. A snippet of 'No Good Deed' can be heard as viewers see Jeff Goldblum's Wizard of Oz working with contraptions, and Elphaba's (and Erivo's) long, manicured nails rest on a pile of bright yellow brick. 'Think of what we could do, together,' Glinda tells Elphaba in an echo from the first film. Snippets of Dorothy in her shiny silver heels and blue gingham dress can be seen throughout the clip as Glind walks down the aisle in a long white wedding train approaching Prince Fiyero. Chu cut both films side by side in the editing process ahead of the first film's release November 22, 2024. Some songs fans are greatly looking forward to include Elphaba and Fiyero's duet 'As Long As You're Mine,' Elphaba's 'No Good Deed' and Glinda and Elphaba's duet 'For Good, which can also be heard in the trailer. Deion Sanders Shoe Style Through the Years [PHOTOS]

In 2023, Deion Sanders, along with Allen Iverson and Derek Jeter, were the first trio of athletes to be inducted into The GQ Sports Style Hall of Fame—and for good reason. Sanders has been the definition of flashy and cool, bringing a blend of flyness, style and confidence that had yet to be seen in the NFL. From the dollar sign earrings the football star wore during Draft Day in 1989 to his own signature Nike sneaker in 1993, Sanders' influence on football expanded way beyond the field. His sense of style also shined through during games and inspired other players, while his penchant for sparkling jewelry—from stacked gold chains and bracelets to diamond rings—was passed down across the league and continues to be on full display with present day athletes. Sanders played in the NFL for 14 seasons, as well as an additional nine seasons of Major League Baseball with several teams. He won two Super Bowl titles and made one World Series appearance in 1992, making him the only athlete to play in a Super Bowl and a World Series. When he was playing both football and baseball for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves in 1992, Sanders also signed his first contract with Nike. He released his first signature sneaker—the Air Diamond Turf—the following year. The sneakers and cleats continue to be fan favorites and lauded as one of the best as far as design and style among athletes. He parted ways with Nike at one point and signed with Under Armour in 2009, before reuniting with Nike in 2023 when he became the University of Colorado's football head coach. Yet he still carries a sense of flair, coolness and sophistication, and that same confidence that made him an overnight star all those years ago. Now that his son Shedeur Sanders has been drafted into the NFL, all eyes are on the Sanders family.
