The Air India flight bound for London crashed five minutes after take-off from Ahmedabad airport on Thursday afternoon. The aircraft, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, identified as Air India 171, was carrying 242 people, including 230 passengers and 12 crew members.Visuals from the Meghani area, where the plane went down, showed thick black smoke billowing into the sky.
