Ciganda ends nine-year LPGA Tour victory drought
Carlota Ciganda finished one stroke clear of Choi Hye-jin to claim her first LPGA Tour victory in almost nine years at the Meijer LPGA Classic in Spaniard birdied the final two holes at the Blythefield Country Club to card a five-under-par 67 to end at 16 under overall, with a bogey at the 17th proving costly for her playing partner from South Korea. Ciganda, 35, whose two previous wins on the LPGA Tour came within a month of each other in October and November 2016, said: "It feels amazing, obviously, after all these years."I knew I could do it, but obviously once the years keep going and you start getting older you start doubting yourself."Part of a six-way tie for the lead at the start of the fourth round, Ciganda also held off Somi Lee, who finished third at 14 Lexi Thompson finished on 13 under alongside Celine Boutier and Nanna Koerstz Madsen after dropping shots on the 16th and 17th holes, while England's Bronte Law was in a tie for seventh on 12 under."I love coming here," added Ciganda, who has also won eight times on the Ladies European Tour."It reminds me of where I'm from in the northern part of Spain. Very similar. Lots of trees, peaceful. I love the golf course. Five par fives, you can hit it hard here."

PSG vs Atletico Madrid – Club World Cup LIVE SCORE: Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha gives Champions League winners lead
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE winners PSG open up their Club World Cup campaign with a tricky test against Spanish giants Atletico Madrid - and the match is on RIGHT NOW! Luiz Enrique's red-hot side will be oozing with confidence as they go into this tournament off the back of a treble-winning season, having secured Ligue 1, the French Cup, and the Champions League. And it was a record-breaking Champions League final win as the Desire Doué's double fired the Parisians to a staggering 5-0 victory against Inter Milan. However, Atletico own the current bragging rights as Nahuel Molina and Angel Correa's strikes, fired the La Liga heavyweights to a marginal 2-1 win when the sides last met in November 2024. Follow ALL the action from this Club World Cup match with our live blog below... Today, 19:58 By Zorawar Assi Moments away from Kick off The game is about to get underway as both teams emerge from the tunnels right now. The game of the competition so far! Today, 19:28 By Nyle Smith Club World Cup prize money Here is a full breakdown of what each club could earn from every round: *Note: prize money accumulates as a club progresses Group stage (three matches) $2m/£1.4m win or $1m/£746k draw Round of 16 + $7.5m/£5.5m Quarter-final + $13.125m/£9.7m Semi-final + $21.0m/£15.6m Finalist + $30m/£22.3m Winner + $40m/£29.8m Today, 19:12 By Nyle Smith Last time out PSG may have won the Champions League, but their campaign got off to a torrid start and that included a last-gasp 2-1 home defeat to Atletico Madrid. Warren Zaire-Emery's opener was quickly cancelled out by the visitors' Nahuel Molina in the first half And then Angel Correa stabbed home the winner three minutes into added time. By Welcome to SunSport's live coverage of PSG vs Atletico Madrid PSG and Atletico Madrid face off tonight in a thrilling Club World Cup contest at the Rose Bowl - and we'll be all over it! This is both clubs' debut at the Club World Cup, but PSG would have been taking part in its old format later this year regardless, after their incredible Champions League triumph at the end of May. And both teams are expected to qualify for the knockout stages after being drawn in Group B along with Botafogo and Seattle Sanders. Enrique's men enjoyed the perfect season, winning Ligue 1 by 19 points, collecting another Coupe de France with consummate ease, before making light work of Inter Milan in the Champions League final, setting a record-high scoreline by thrashing the Nerazzurri 5-0. Those five goals added to a season-long tally of 152 scored by PSG, who were a joy to watch, especially for the neutral, as they have also only kept three clean sheets in their last 12 games. Ironically, they were unable to keep Atletico at bay when they met during the league phase of the Champions League as Diego Simeone's men completed a customary smash-and-grab win over the Parisians at the Parc des Princes. But this is most certainly a more confident PSG side with a dangerous trio of Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia up top. However, potential Ballon d'Or winner Dembele is a doubt for this match so Luiz Enrique may have to rethink his starting line-up.
