Missed Out On LeBron's Barbie? We Found Worthy Substitutes

The LeBron James Barbie is selling like hot cakes on StockX, according to cllct . Don't get me wrong, I love a good collab and am mostly just upset I didn't grab one at cost, but if you missed out on the Barbie and don't want to pay over $150 for one on the secondary market, might I suggest these more reasonably priced LeBron James dolls and crafted goods on Etsy:

In my journey through Etsy I also came across this person who fake-autographed a card featuring LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant and apparently sold it for $45; it also included a fake COA. He sells 10s of thousands of these fake autographs with fake COAs and insists that they are real - which, of course, the card he says is 'real' that he's selling for $45 sells for over $10,000.
People call him out in the comments but he insists that these cards are 'real' which, sure, they exist as a tangible thing, but he gets thousands and thousands of positive reviews from people he's scammed. He turns the anger on the buyer and basically says that calling these 'fake' is 'Facebook fake news' and Etsy just lets this all happen.
What a time to be alive.
While everyone is excited about the Paige Bueckers era of the WNBA, the other player you should have on your radar is Dominique Malonga, who was the second overall pick in the WNBA Draft last week.
At 6 feet, 6 inches Malonga, who is just 19 years old, is already being compared to Victor Wembanyama, which as you know for me is like the perfect carrot-on-a-stick comparison that might empty my bank account.
Panini Instant already released her first rookie card, which you can find for $7 and likely will reach 10s of thousands on the print run - but my biggest beef is with Sports Illustrated for Kids, who missed on an opportunity to give us a chaser prior to the Draft.
That would have been the card to grab.
The other player that might have some sneaky value is the 10th overall pick Ajsa Sivka. Have I ever watched her play? No. Would I feel comfortable saying her name out loud? Nope.
However, she is also just 19 years old, drafted one spot ahead of Hailey Van Lith to the same Chicago Sun who might have the best collection of young talent in the league. Sivka could play the wing position alongside Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso for many years to come and potentially help lead them to a WNBA title.
How's that for advice from someone who has seen neither of them play basketball?
The NBA announced the finalists for the league awards this past week and one of the fun things with the MVP race is that it's a friendly reminder to not throw away those cards you tucked into a storage box.
Nikola Jokic was the 41st pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Giannis Antetokounmpo was the 15th pick in the 2013 draft and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the 11th pick in the 2018 draft.
And even though SGA was fairly highly-regarded coming out of Kentucky, you can tell just how puzzling his ascension was given that Panini totally forgot to even put the 'RC' symbol on his rookie card . Probably an oversight as they were printing one billion copies of Luka Doncic's rookie card.
If you're like me, once you get outside of the Top 10 and these players aren't on the team you PC, you start to think about 'making room' in the collection, if you know what I mean.
Now, maybe, this is that friendly reminder to reconsider.
These Cactus Jack Topps cards released at WrestleMania 41 look super cool. I don't know enough about wrestling to tell you whether or not the juice is worth the squeeze on them but man they look really slick.
A woman named Bunny who has a massive collection of toy bunnies is selling her bunnies for a lot of money . If you're a toy bunny collector, hop to it.
She says she doesn't regret turning down £10K for one of her prized bunnies years ago, even though now it might fetch her only £4K (apparently bear markets impact the bunny market, too). As a lesson to young collectors, sometimes when you get an offer that seems too good to be true, it's often best to g-rabbit.
Hope everyone got their Topps Now Snow White cards in the mail this week. Know this: those 3,000+ of us who bought that card may be crazy, but… no, that's all. We're crazy. Should we start a group on Mantel?

"What is this? Some Brazilian fake news?" - Goran Dragic revealed his initial reaction to the Luka Doncic trade
"What is this? Some Brazilian fake news?" - Goran Dragic revealed his initial reaction to the Luka Doncic trade originally appeared on Basketball Network. Goran Dragic saw it coming before the rest of the world did. Not the shocking trade, but the superstar status. Advertisement Long before Luka Doncic became a household name in the NBA, Dragic already had a front-row seat to the making of a generational talent. As a teenager, Goran shared a locker room with Luka's father, Sasa Doncic — also a Slovenian pro who brought his son to the gym before and after practices. It was there when "The Dragon" saw the first sparks of "Luka Magic." So when "El Matador" started lighting it up for the Dallas Mavericks, it didn't really catch the one-time All-Star off guard. What did catch him off guard came much later — on February 1st this year, when news broke that the Mavericks had pulled the trigger on the most shocking trade in the league's history, sending their franchise cornerstone to the Los Angeles Lakers. Even for someone who's seen it all during his 15-year career in the Association, this one felt surreal. When the bomb dropped, Dragic was thousands of miles away, enjoying some downtime in Brazil. Advertisement "Yeah I was shocked like everybody else. Actually, I was in Brazil at that time, and I was like, 'What is this? Some Brazilian fake news?' Then I started getting text messages and I realized that it's true," the 2014 Most Improved Player said in an exclusive interview with Basketball Network. "I was shocked, but, you know, that's part of the business. You have to move on. He has to move on." The future is bright in the City of Angels But as surprising as the trade was, Dragic isn't worried about how his fellow countryman will handle it. In fact, he believes the move could unlock an even scarier version of the five-time All-Star. Advertisement Now surrounded by championship expectations and bright lights, "Luka Magic" is also learning from a guy who's made a career out of defying Father Time — LeBron James. "The King" is in the twilight of his career, but what he brings to the table off the court might be even more valuable than what he still does on it. For Luka, that mentorship could be the bridge between stardom and sustained greatness. It's one thing to put up monster numbers. It's another thing to do it while wearing the most scrutinized jersey in basketball. But "The Dragon" believes "The Don" has the mentality and game to carry that torch and maybe even add a few new chapters to the Lakers' rich legacy. "I think he is in a good team. The Lakers are a historical franchise; they are gonna build the team around him and have a lot of success. The biggest market in the league. I'm not afraid for him, because we all know what kind of baller he is. That's gonna fuel him even more, for sure," the Slovenian basketball legend added. Related: Luc Longley on why he and Michael Jordan couldn't get along: "Mike was doing what he did to rookies, what he was doing to me" The Luka-watch is on While the trade turned heads and shook up the Western Conference, it didn't exactly translate into instant playoff success. The Lakers got bounced in the first round, losing in five games to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The chemistry was still a work in progress, the pieces didn't quite fit, and questions remain about what comes next. Advertisement Still, if there's one thing that's never been in doubt, it's Luka's ability to adapt and dominate. And with the Lakers expected to retool and reload this summer, the 26-year-old Slovenian now has the keys to the NBA's biggest stage with a legend by his side to make the transition even more smoother. There Was a Major WNBA Upset on Friday
There Was a Major WNBA Upset on Friday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. On Friday, the Connecticut Sun had a major 84-76 victory over the Atlanta Dream. Coming into the contest, the Sun had just secured one win in the 2025 WNBA season, which was against the Indiana Fever. That was followed by an embarrassing 100-52 loss against the New York Liberty. Advertisement The team regrouped during their five-day break and collected themselves for their match against the Dream. It was effective as it changed their approach against Atlanta. This snapped the Dream's four-game win streak. They had a longer break since their latest contest, which was on May 30. Unfortunately for Atlanta, the extended interval disrupted their flow. Connecticut Sun center Tina Charles and guard Bria Hartley celebrate with guard Marina Butler II-Imagn Images Ahead of the contest, the Dream was favored to win, according to Action Network. Atlanta had -10.5 odds to win the matchup. The Sun, however, performed better than expected and pulled off an upset. The Sun was led by veteran guard Marina Mabrey, who had 34 points in the win. Mabrey added four rebounds and four assists on 37.5% shooting from deep. In the first half, the 5-foot-11 guard showed signs that she'd have an outstanding game with 15 points. Advertisement Veteran star Tina Charles helped with 19 points and four rebounds on 8-for-13 shooting from the field. Late in the fourth quarter, rookie Saniya Rivers had an excellent defensive performance. She blocked Rhyne Howard's 3-point attempt to secure the victory. Rivers had two blocks to go with her three steals. The Sun's next game will be on Sunday against the Washington Mystics. Connecticut will look to add another win to its record as the Mystics are in the middle of a three-game losing streak. Keep an eye out for this former West Virginia high school player in the NBA Finals
OKLAHOMA CITY (WBOY) — If you tuned in to Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals on Thursday night, you may have seen Indiana Pacer Thomas Bryant on the hardwood, a player who spent the formative years of his career right here in West Virginia. Bryant was born in Rochester, New York, but he spent most of his high school career at Huntington Prep School, where he averaged 17.3 points per game in his senior campaign with the Irish, ending with a 29-3 record, according to MaxPreps. Bryant was recruited out of high school in 2015 by Indiana University and spent two seasons with the Hoosiers, starting 69 games and ending with a 45-24 record, according to College Basketball Reference. That 2015 Hoosier squad also made it to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament, but lost to North Carolina. Following his sophomore season, Bryant entered his name into the 2017 NBA Draft, where he was selected in the second round (42nd overall) by the Utah Jazz, according to Basketball Reference. He never made his debut for the Jazz, nor did he spend that long with the team, as he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on that same day for Tony Bradley. The center officially began his NBA career for the Lakers on Dec. 23, 2017, in a loss to Portland. WVU Baseball vs. No. 6 LSU: How to watch Following the 2017–18 season, Bryant was traded around the league, spending stints with Washington, Miami and Denver, which won the NBA Finals in 2023 with Bryant on the roster. He was traded from Miami to the Indiana Pacers in December 2024 and has been a significant contributor from the Indiana bench behind starting center Myles Turner. Bryant made eight regular-season starts since being traded to the Pacers, and he put up a 39-17 record during Indiana's march to the NBA Playoffs. As of Friday, Bryant has played in 15 of the Pacers' 17 playoff games. During Game 1 against Oklahoma City on Thursday, Bryant only saw the court for eight minutes, but he shot the ball perfectly, going 2-2 on his field goal attempts and making his one three-pointer in the win for Indiana, per ESPN. You can catch Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday, June 8, at 8 p.m. on WBOY-ABC. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
