When the curse of 'Final Destination' travels off-screen, the viewers are bound to get spooked ominously. In an unfortunate incident, a woman who went to celebrate her birthday in the theatre to watch a movie came home with an injured leg after the ceiling of the theatre collapsed on her.

According to Infobae, the incident happened at the Cinema Ocho in La Plata, the capital city of Argentina's Buenos Aires. On May 19, 2025, a 29-year-old Fiamma Villaverde went to watch the film 'Final Destination Bloodlines' at 9 p.m., as they thought the tickets were really cheap.
Initially, Villaverde did not plan on watching the horror drama; however, she describes that it was her birthday, and she happened to walk to the theatre.
Looking at the prices, they thought of going to watch the film. 'There was a really loud noise. At first, we thought it was part of the movie because we were so absorbed, but then a huge piece fell on me,' Villaverde revealed.
'It didn't hit me in the head because I was just leaning a little over the armrest,' she added. The 29-year-old was taken to the hospital following the fatality.
What was the response of the theatre manager?
Recalling the incident, Villaverde stated the manager tried to sweep the incident under the rug when she asked for a refund. The unflinching manager asked, 'How do you want to fix this?' Villaverde lost her temper and responded, 'How do I want to fix this? I'm going to file a complaint.' 'Just imagine if they hit my daughter in the head! They're irresponsible!' she said to the outlet.
