The non-profit charity where musicians play songs to shelter pets
Wild Tunes recruits volunteer musicians to perform in animal shelters, currently operating in Houston, New Jersey, and Denver with around 100 participants.
Agarwal and other musicians have observed calming effects on animals, with some becoming more receptive to human interaction and potentially more adoptable.
While the calming effect of music on humans is well-documented, its precise role in animal behavior is still under research, with some studies showing positive effects but also mixed results depending on various factors.
Agarwal aims to expand Wild Tunes nationwide, highlighting the reciprocal benefits for volunteers who gain confidence performing for a nonjudgmental audience.

People are only just realising My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way's VERY famous cousin as tour tickets go on sale today
MY Chemical Romance fans are only just realising one of its members has a very famous cousin. Lead vocalist Gerard Way also co-founded the popular rock band back in 2001. 4 4 4 Speaking on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, the titular star confirmed he and Gerard are distant cousins. Joe, 58, made this revelation while chatting to filmmaker Kevin Smith. However, he also clarified: "Yeah, I don't know [Gerard], but we're cousins." The pair are connected through Joe's grandmother Josie - who was Gerard's aunt. Joe's varied career includes stints as a comedian, actor, UFC commentator and TV host. He launched The Joe Rogan Experience in 2009 - and by six years later, it had become among the world's most popular podcasts. Aside from Gerard, My Chemical Romance also includes his brother Mikey, Ray Toro and Frank Iero. The rock group, which first formed in 2001, became a genre-defining group in the emo era with their album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge in 2004. Their iconic status was then cemented with the multi-platinum selling album, The Black Parade, in 2006 – a concept album that followed a man's journey to the afterlife. The band initially split in 2013, but reformed in 2019 for a string of special shows. They officially returned to the road for a new tour earlier this year. MCR have released four albums to date – 2001 debut I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love; Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge; The Black Parade and finally, Danger Days: The True Lives of The Fabulous Killjoys in 2010. But on top of that they have released collections of recordings, Conventional Weapons, as well as bonus tracks and specials on their Greatest Hits album. Since that point, each have gone on to work on other projects, with Gerard notably helping create Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, based on a comic book he created by Gabriel Bá. It comes as My Chemical Romance recently announced two massive UK gigs at Wembley. They will be bringing their massive stadium tour to the UK after a sell-out run in the US. The band will perform at Wembley on July 10 and July 11, 2026. However, fans were left furious at the "extortionate" ticket prices for these performances. 4

Beyonce wins prestigious Emmy award for her Netflix special which drew in 27m viewers… and could even land a second
SUPERSTAR Beyoncé has won her first Emmy — to go with her record haul of 35 Grammy awards. The US singer, 43, landed the prestigious TV award for Beyoncé Bowl, her Christmas Day NFL half-time show streamed by Netflix. 5 5 She will pick up the gong with her stylist, Shiona Turini, in Los Angeles on September 14. The pair designed costumes for the performance at the NRG stadium in Beyoncé's home city of Houston, Texas. The broadcast, during a game between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens, drew a peak audience of 27million. Beyoncé performed hits from her No1 album Cowboy Carter and was joined by singers Shaboozey and Post Malone, plus her daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Beyoncé's elusive Emmy comes after multiple nominations. And she could land a second as she is nominated for outstanding directing for a variety special, with that winner announced later. In that category she is up against her husband Jay Z, 55, who was nominated for his involvement in Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show. Beyoncé has won 30 MTV Awards for her music. As an actor, she was surprisingly overlooked for a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her performance in Dreamgirls. As well as dressing Beyoncé, Shiona decked out all musicians and dancers in Houston, and worked with designers including Dolce & Gabbana. Beyonce sends fans into a frenzy with surprise Destiny's Child reunion during final Cowboy Carter show Shiona said: 'We dressed 504 people. Our tailors who worked tirelessly, the assistants, the production assistants, everyone. 'On the tour, I don't know if we went into it knowing that there would be so many wardrobe changes but that's what happened. 'So we were working every single day to get the next show ready. I think for Bey, she had almost 150 costumes, and so with those changes, you have to have co-ordinating dancer costumes.' Shiona added: 'It's very, very collaborative, but Bey is pretty direct and knows exactly how she wants to look on a day.'
