Usyk demolishes Dubois with fifth-round knockout
The win saw Usyk reclaim the IBF belt he vacated last year, before a December rematch with Tyson Fury, with Dubois upgraded to champion and then defending the title against compatriot Anthony Joshua last September.
Asked about beating his younger opponent, Usyk said: "38 is a young guy, remember! 38 is only (the) start!
"I want to say thank you to Jesus Christ. I want to say thank you to my team and Wembley, thank you so much! It's for the people.
"Nothing is next. It's enough, next, I don't know. I want to rest. My family, my wife, my children, I want to rest now. Two or three months, I want to just rest."
Usyk's technical ability was on full display from the outset as he sidestepped everything thrown his way with deceptive ease and connected repeatedly with his jab, putting on a masterclass in counter-punching.
Despite weighing in at a career-heaviest 227.3 pounds on Friday, Usyk floated around the ring with an almost balletic grace and prevented Dubois from making the most of his superior size.
The Ukrainian comfortably outclassed his opponent in three of the first four rounds, but most of the damage was dealt out in a brutal fifth-round beatdown.
The Ukrainian sent his opponent to the canvas with an overhand right, before a booming left hand right on the chin dashed Dubois' dreams and brought an end to the bout.
The unification fight was a rematch of one that Dubois lost by a controversial ninth-round knockout in Wroclaw, Poland, in 2023, after Usyk was given time to recover from what the referee ruled was a low blow.

Former boxing coach of Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield dies aged 71
Legendary boxing coach Tommy Brooks has died at the age of 71 following a battle with cancer. Promoter Lou DiBella confirmed Brooks' passing on Tuesday, 29 July, paying tribute to him as a "great boxing man and even better person". Brooks was renowned for coaching two-weight undisputed champion Evander Holyfield, guiding him to two victories over Mike Tyson. He also worked with Mike Tyson himself until 2002 and later with heavyweight greats Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko. Before his coaching career, Brooks was an amateur boxer, winning a national title, and had a professional record of 7-3.

'Urge to play outweighed fear of paralysis'
New Fleetwood Town striker Ched Evans said he should have asked for help much earlier after suffering a neck injury in 2023 which could have left him 36-year-old returned to the Cod Army last week for a third spell after turning down a coaching role at Preston North of his side's opening fixture away to League Two new boys Barnet on Saturday, Evans revealed the severity of an injury which he regrets not reporting to medical staff earlier."I think the scary thing is I didn't tell anybody. That mindset of wanting to play football and prove something probably overtook my decision there," Evans told BBC Radio Lancashire. "The symptoms of the injury had been going on for two years so the ability to look up or open the milk in the morning, I couldn't do."What I should have done is ask for help and I didn't. That urge to play football outweighed the fear of being paralysed. I knew it was bad, but just how bad, I didn't understand."Evans eventually had surgery in April 2023 and return to action in October of that year. He will be hoping to rediscover the form that helped him score 37 goals in 81 appearances in two and a half seasons for Fleetwood before a move to Preston, where he has spent the past four years. Last season, Evans signed a one-year deal at Deepdale as a player-coach but he made only eight substitute appearances in the Championship as the Lilywhites narrowly avoided relegation to League One on the final day of the the former Wales international has said he is unprepared to hang up his boots yet as he embarks on his 15th season as a professional player."For me personally, I was coming back to somewhere you know, and once I'd spoken to the manager [Pete Wild] and he talked about his plan and what he wanted to achieve, I was sold on that straight away," Evans added."It took a good few months but in the end my preference is [playing] football."I got offered to work with the [Preston] under-18s and under-21s and it did really excite me, but I would have had to retire and I wasn't ready to make that decision."
