Miley Cyrus Admitted to ICU After Contracting ‘Brutal' Infection
Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles
Miley Cyrus was secretly admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) after contracting what she described as a "brutal" infection that caused her leg to begin "disintegrating" around the kneecap.
The 32-year-old pop star revealed she suffered a serious health scare in November, just weeks after filming a music video for her song Something Beautiful on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Miley opened up about the incident, explaining:
"I filmed this video in October, and by Thanksgiving in November, I was put in the ICU — just for a moment — but still, I was in the ICU."
She continued:
"My leg began to disintegrate around the kneecap area."
According to Miley, doctors were puzzled by the severity of the infection and asked if she had any idea how she might have contracted it. She told them:
"I just saw myself rolling around on the Walk of Fame — and I had to tell him, 'I think that's where I got it.'"
Despite the alarming nature of the illness, Miley appears to be in recovery and is now sharing her experience publicly for the first time.

Tom Hanks returning to the stage in new Off-Broadway production
Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Tom Hanks is to star in an off-Broadway play he has co-written. The Oscar-winning star will be making a return to the stage for the first time since his 2013 Broadway debut in 'Lucky Guy' - for which he was nominated for a Tony Award - when he appears in 'This World of Tomorrow' at the 550-seat theatre The Shed in New York City. The production will premiere on 30 October and run for eight weeks until 21 December, and is described as a blend of romance and history with a dash of science fiction. The story follows a lonely scientist from the future who travels back in time to find love at the 1939 World's Fair in Queens and will feature a cast of 10 to 12 actors, with some taking on multiple roles. The 'Forrest Gump' actor said in a statement: 'To explore the themes of love and yearning, and the struggles of Today as we carry with us the eternal memories of the Past, in such a place as The Shed, strikes me as a one-of-a-kind experience not unlike the World's Fair of 1939.'

Brad Pitt breaks silence about conclusion of his longrunning divorce proceedings with Angelina Jolie
Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Brad Pitt has spoken publicly for the first time about the conclusion of his long-running divorce proceedings with Angelina Jolie. The 61-year-old actor married Angelina, 49, in 2014 after they met on the set of 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' in 2005 and the couple separated in 2016, with the actress filing for divorce the same year before the couple became embroiled in bitter custody and business disputes, some of which are still ongoing. When asked about the significance of his divorce settlement with Angelina. 'F1' star Brad said: 'No, I don't think it was that major of a thing. 'Just something coming to fruition. Legally.' The couple's legal disputes have encompassed custody of their six children and the division of assets including the Château Miraval winery in France. Brad and Angelina have six children – Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. During the GQ interview, Brad addressed the media scrutiny surrounding his private life by saying: 'It's been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let's put it that way.' The actor currently resides in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, 32-year-old jewellery executive Ines de Ramon. Asked whether their red carpet appearance at the 2024 British Grand Prix was intended to promote F1, Brad denied any strategic motivation. He said: 'No, dude, it's not that calculated. If you're living, oh my God, how exhausting would that be? If you're living with making those kinds of calculations? No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve.' When GQ asked whether working on F1 served as a 'refuge from all the attention,' Brad responded: 'Um, I don't see it that way.' He added: 'It's been an annoyance I've had to always deal with in different degrees, large and small, as I do the things I really want to do. 'So, it's always been this kind of nagging time suck or waste of time, if you let it be that, I don't know. I don't know.' Reflecting on his current lifestyle, Brad said: 'Mostly I feel pretty... my life is fairly contained. 'It feels pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my fam, with my knowledge of who I am, that, you know, it's like this fly buzzing around a little bit.' Brad was also previously married to actress Jennifer Aniston, 55, before their divorce in 2005.

Hollywood star Chris Evans reveals why he skipped Cannes Film Festival
Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Chris Evans was notably absent from the red carpet at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where his latest film, Honey Don't!, made its highly anticipated debut. While the film's director Ethan Coen and co-stars Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Charlie Day, and Billy Eichner attended the premiere, fans quickly noticed the Captain America star's absence and began speculating about the reason. Honey Don't! — a comedy-mystery helmed by Coen — was featured in the festival's popular Midnight Screenings section. The film received a warm reception at its premiere in the Grand Theatre Lumière, earning a six-minute standing ovation. Shortly after the event, Evans addressed the speculation directly on Instagram. In a story shared post-premiere, the actor revealed he chose to miss Cannes to celebrate a personal milestone — his mother Lisa's 70th birthday. 'I wish I could've been with my incredible cast and filmmakers at Cannes, but it was my mother's 70th birthday, and there are some things you just can't miss!' Evans wrote, adding a red carpet photo of his castmates alongside his message. He also extended his congratulations, saying, 'Congrats everyone!!' Evans, 43, has frequently spoken about the importance of family in his life. In a 2017 Esquire interview, he reflected on the value of familial bonds, saying, 'I've always loved stories about people who put their families before themselves. It's such a noble endeavor.' Though he wasn't physically present, Evans' heartfelt tribute to his mother and support for his colleagues served as a reminder of the priorities he holds dear — both on-screen and off.
