Man United 'are handed MAJOR boost' in Bryan Mbeumo pursuit as Brentford star 'makes decision on his future' with both Red Devils and Tottenham chasing his signature
Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo after the Brentford man reportedly made his mind up on his future.
The forward has been one of United's most sought-after targets this summer, with two bids already rejected as Ruben Amorim looks to recruit reinforcements to his struggling attack.
Tottenham, though, now managed by former Brentford boss Thomas Frank, has made their desire over a potential move known, leaving the player himself with a dilemma.
Now, though, according to The Athletic, Mbeumo has made his mind up in terms of his future - and he has told Tottenham that he will only leave Brentford to move to Old Trafford.

England face France on 5 July in their Group D opener in Zurich, before meetings with the Netherlands and Wales in a tough group. On Friday, the FA's chief executive, Mark Bullingham, said her job was safe regardless of whether England were knocked out of the Euros at the group stage. Wiegman said: 'We're going into a new tournament now and I feel very happy here. I'm excited. I'm not looking too much ahead – the contract is until 2027, and I've always felt so much support from Mark and the board, and I still feel that way. 'We are convinced that we can do really well [in Switzerland]. We are aware that our group is really, really tough with incredible teams in it. But we are going to do everything to get out of that group stage and do really well in the tournament again.'

Lauren James is in line for her first appearance since sustaining a hamstring injury in April when England host Jamaica in Sunday's Women's Euro 2025 send-off friendly. The Chelsea forward, 23, has been unable to feature for club or country since limping off midway through the Lionesses ' 5-0 Nations League win against Belgium nearly three months ago.
