Shah Rukh Khan, known for usually avoiding the paparazzi and often using an umbrella to shield himself from cameras, ditched it this time.
Shah Rukh Khan made a rare appearance on Thursday night as he attended the wedding reception of his longtime personal trainer, Prashant Sawant. Held at a swanky restaurant in Mumbai, the star-studded event saw several Bollywood celebrities in attendance, including Abhishek Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Sunny Singh.
What caught everyone's attention, however, was Shah Rukh himself. The superstar, known for usually avoiding the paparazzi and often using an umbrella to shield himself from cameras, ditched it this time. He was seen flaunting his natural salt-and-pepper beard, looking effortlessly charming. Dressed in a plain black T-shirt and jeans, SRK kept his appearance understated but impactful.
The actor is currently filming King, an action thriller directed by Siddharth Anand. A recent video showing a glimpse of his rugged look from the film had gone viral, sparking excitement among fans. His beard at the reception seems to align with his look for the upcoming project.
Prashant Sawant, who has been training Shah Rukh for several years, has often spoken about the actor's incredible discipline and commitment to fitness. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, he shared, 'Unko pasina nahi aaya toh maza nahi aaya, so he likes to sweat… sweating is important for him, whether it's through sports or workouts."
Sawant also opened up about managing SRK's fitness during injuries, saying, 'We fight to repair his body, and we work as a team… we make strategies and formulas. In the process, we've created 6-pack abs or even 8-pack abs for his films."
As fans eagerly await his return to the big screen, Shah Rukh's appearance at the reception especially without his usual security measures offered an up-close look at his current transformation.

Housefull 5 Day 8 India Box Office: Akshay Kumar led comic-caper adds Rs 5.75 crore to tally on 2nd Friday

The Akshay Kumar-led comic caper, Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, wrapped up its first week at the India box office with a decent Rs 114.40 crore. The film, backed by Sajid Nadiadwala and co-starring Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, and a host of other actors, added an alright Rs 5.5-6 crore on 2nd Friday, to take the 8 day cume to Rs 120.15cr net. Let's dig deep into the theatrical performance of Housefull 5 so far. After a promising start last Friday, June 6, 2025, Housefull 5 saw robust growth over the opening weekend, capitalizing on the festive boost from Bakri Eid. The weekdays, however, saw a noticeable dip, putting the long run of the movie in jeopardy. The movie has stabilised a little on Friday but exponential second weekend growth is very important since it will become the second most preferred Bollywood movie option from the coming Friday, when Sitaare Zameen Par releases. By the end of the weekend, the total of Housefull 5 should exceed Rs 140 crore at least. Housefull 5's day-wise net collections in India are as under:- Housefull 5's global performance has also been reasonable, grossing Rs 180 crore worldwide in its first week. Most likely by Sunday morning, Housefull 5 will have entered the Rs 200 crore worldwide club. Given the movie's steep budget, it requires Rs 275 crore worldwide to just breakeven. If the movie fails to hit this number, the producers will lose money on the movie. At Rs 325-350 crore worldwide, the movie can be declared a hit; but that looks very unlikely. The only positive out of the performance of Housefull 5 is that Akshay Kumar has regained his ability to open his films to reasonably good numbers. Since Sooryavanshi, almost every movie of the actor took a low or poor opening. It is with Housefull 5 that Akshay Kumar has regained the ability to pull crowds. Drishyam 3: Mohanlal And Jeethu Joseph Likely To Begin Filming In September 2025

Last Updated: Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph are reportedly set to start filming Drishyam 3 in September 2025. Malayalam cinema's iconic duo—Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph—are ready to bring back the suspense and intrigue of the Drishyam universe. According to a new report by Cinema For You, the third installment of the celebrated thriller franchise is likely to begin production in September 2025, much to the excitement of fans across the country. While speculation had long surrounded their return, the report suggests that Drishyam 3 might finally move ahead—possibly at the cost of delaying their much-anticipated but long-stalled project Ram yet again. With dates aligning and mounting pressure from eager fans, the team seems to be prioritizing the next chapter in Georgekutty's chilling tale of deception and survival. An official confirmation is still awaited, but the buzz has already reignited anticipation among viewers who have followed Georgekutty's journey since the very beginning. For the uninitiated, Drishyam (2013) was a game-changer in Indian cinema. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the original film followed Georgekutty, a simple cable TV operator, whose life spirals into chaos after a shocking incident involving his family. What followed was a masterclass in suspenseful storytelling, as Georgekutty wove a web of lies to protect his loved ones from law enforcement. The film's gripping narrative, moral ambiguity, and powerful performances struck a chord with audiences, making it a blockbuster and a blueprint for remakes across multiple Indian languages. In 2021, the franchise returned with Drishyam 2: The Resumption, picking up seamlessly from where the first left off. Released directly on Amazon Prime Video due to the pandemic, the sequel was lauded for maintaining the franchise's high standards of storytelling, layered drama, and emotional depth. Mohanlal once again proved why he's considered one of India's finest actors, and Jeethu Joseph's direction was praised for its sophistication and restraint. As the Malayalam original prepares to enter its third and possibly final phase, interestingly, its Bollywood counterpart is also revving up for its next chapter. Actor Ajay Devgn is reportedly set to reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam 3, with Abhishek Pathak returning to direct. That film, according to Pinkvilla, will go on floors in August 2025, creating a fascinating parallel between the two cinematic universes. Meanwhile, Mohanlal continues to be one of the busiest stars in the industry. After headlining Thudarum, a hard-hitting crime drama about a father's quest for justice, he is now gearing up for Hridayapoorvam, a feel-good family film helmed by veteran director Sathyan Anthikad and co-starring Malavika Mohanan. His packed slate also includes big-ticket projects like Vrusshabha and MMMN, further cementing his status as a pan-Indian force to reckon with. With Drishyam 3, Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph have the potential to close the chapter on one of Indian cinema's most iconic franchises with the same finesse and unpredictability that made it a cultural phenomenon in the first place.
