New Delhi, May 15 (PTI) A teenage boy was found dead with his throat slit in Delhi's Nizamuddin area after he tried to persuade one of the accused to allow his sister to continue her relationship with the victim's friend, police said on Thursday.
A 17-year-old boy has also been apprehended under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act, he added.
'The incident took place on May 12 around 8.30 pm when police received a PCR call saying a body was spotted near a drain in Nizamuddin West. Upon reaching the spot, police found the body with a deep cut on the throat, indicating deliberate killing,' the DCP said.
Altamash has been identified as the main assailant who used a sharp weapon to slit the victim's throat. During interrogation, it was revealed that the murder stemmed from a romantic relationship between Azeem, a friend of Saad, and Altamash's sister Zara, the officer said.
Altamash reportedly opposed the relationship even as Saad repeatedly tried to persuade him, Singh said.
'Saad tried to mediate on behalf of Azeem, which Altamash saw as unwarranted interference. Enraged by this, Altamash conspired with his associates to eliminate Saad,' the officer said. PTI SSJ ARI

Ex Pakistan PM Imran Khan makes shocking claims against army chief Asim Munir, says 'turned against my wife after...'
Ex Pakistan PM Imran Khan makes shocking claims against army chief Asim Munir, says 'turned against my wife after...' Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is currently behind bars, has made strong accusations against the Army Chief, General Asim Munir. He claimed that Munir is using his power to take revenge on Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, by targeting her unfairly. In a recent message shared on X (formerly Twitter), Khan said that when he was Prime Minister, he had removed General Munir from his position as the head of Pakistan's spy agency, the ISI. After this, Khan alleged, Munir tried to reach out to Bushra Bibi through other people to talk about the matter. However, Bushra refused, saying she had nothing to do with government matters and wouldn't meet him. Khan believes this rejection led to Munir holding a grudge, which he says is the reason behind Bushra Bibi's harsh treatment and her 14-month-long imprisonment. Khan added that her time in jail has been extremely difficult and unfair. He expressed deep concern over her suffering, saying, 'What my wife is going through has never happened before—not even in Pakistan's worst times under military rule.' He also pointed out that she has been arrested in multiple cases without any real evidence. 'She is not involved in politics. She is a homemaker. And yet, she is being punished as if she committed a serious crime,' he wrote. Khan also mentioned that he hasn't been allowed to see her for over a month. Imran Khan has claimed that prison authorities refused to let him meet his wife, Bushra Bibi, on June 1 even though a court had approved the visit. He called the denial a clear violation of prison rules and basic legal rights. He also brought up the violent events of May 9, 2023, when attacks on military buildings took place. Khan insisted once again that those incidents were part of what he calls the 'London Plan' a conspiracy, according to him, designed to break up his political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which he says has the largest public support in the country. Khan claimed that this plan led to his arrest and the jailing of many PTI leaders and workers without due process. He accused the ruling alliance, particularly the PML-N, of stealing the people's vote and handing power over to what he called 'corrupt dynasties' like the Sharifs and Zardaris. Describing the government's actions as 'fascist,' he said PTI members and supporters have faced false charges, violent crackdowns, and even shootings. 'They're trying to crush us with force and lies,' he said. Imran Khan has also accused Pakistan's anti-terrorism courts and judges of playing a role in silencing his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He claimed that, despite multiple requests, the courts have not asked for or reviewed the CCTV footage from May 9, 2023, the footage he believes could prove his party's innocence. 'No judge has shown the courage to demand that footage or give a decision based on facts. Our people are being punished without any real proof, and without a fair trial,' he said. Khan has called for the creation of an independent judicial commission to investigate both the May 9 events and the deaths of pro-democracy protesters during the November 26, 2024 demonstrations. He criticized the judiciary under the leadership of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, saying it has failed the nation. 'This is the lowest point for our justice system,' Khan stated. 'In the past, Justice Munir became infamous for bending the law. Today, Justice Qazi Faez Isa is doing the same. The courts no longer seem interested in justice—they're just trying to protect their own power and positions.'
