Oberoi also shared his strong opinion about Pakistani artists and sportspeople coming to India. He said, 'I don't want any singer, actor, or any Pakistani to be here, even for a cricket match. We should be ashamed of calling them.'

The tension between the two countries led to the boycott of the film 'Abir Gulaal', starring Indian actress Vaani Kapoor and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, which was supposed to release in India on May 9, 2025.
