Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos mocked over 'cringe' wedding invitation that 'looks like it was made by a 10-year-old'

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are tying the knot this week in Venice, Italy, during what's expected to be a lavish, multi-day celebration.
It's believed their wedding will be attended by a slew of Hollywood stars, business moguls, and political figures.
And while the nuptials - which will reportedly be attended by some 200 guests - are set to be a luxe experience, one element has been criticised.
A copy of part of an invitation that was sent out by the couple has been obtained by ABC News, with some saying it looks like it could have been made by a 10-year-old.
The document, which is decorated with whimsical cartoon images says: 'We're excited for you to join us! We have one early request: please, no gifts
The invitationalso features what appear to be computer-generated §designs of butterflies, doves, the Venice canals, gondolas, and feathers in purple, gray and pink-hues.
It adds: 'Instead, we're making contributions in your honor and with gratitude to you for making the journey to celebrate with us in Venice.
'Donations on your behalf are being made to the UNESCO Venice Office to safeguard the city's irreplaceable cultural heritage, to CORILA to restore the lagoon habitats that protect Venice's future, and to Venice International University to support research and education for sustainable solutions.'
The document continues: 'This magical place has gifted us unforgettable memories.
'Our hope is that through these efforts and by you joining us, Venice will continue to inspire wonder for generations to come.'
Despite the invitation's positive message, many were critical of the design - with some saying it looked cheap.
One commentator said: 'Was the invitation made in microsoft paint?'
Another agreed, adding: 'Wow what an ugly announcement/invitation. With all the money he has they could have at least done something pretty and classy.'
In a similar vein, a third wrote: 'What in the Microsoft Paint is this? They couldn't afford an illustrator?'
'Did chat GPT make the invite?' another asked.
'Wow! Did they just send an evite for their multi million dollar wedding?' asked another.
One strongly worded criticism said: 'That invite is atrocious. Onviously, money can't buy taste or class.'
'Canva for the win,' a further X (former Twitter) user joked.
Another social media user wrote: 'Why does it look so goofy?'
And another added: 'when you're one of the richest people on the planet but can't afford a Canva Premium template for your wedding invite.'
The couple have caused some controversy by holding their wedding in Venice - something that was highlighted in the invitation's note that the couple would be making donations to 'the UNESCO Venice Office to safeguard the city's irreplaceable cultural heritage, to CORILA to restore the lagoon habitats that protect Venice's future, and to Venice International University to support research and education for sustainable solutions'.
Despite this, their arrival in Venice has been far from smooth sailing and the couple is being plagued by protesters who are furious the needs of local residents are allegedly being sidelined to make way for wealthy tourists.
Bezos is worth around $224.6 billion and is thought to be spending tens of millions on his wedding.
'If you can rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax,' one gigantic banner read in St. Mark's Square.
Greenpeace and the UK-based collective Everyone Hates Elon have joined protests in Venice attempting to disrupt, or even prevent, the planned wedding celebrations of Amazon founder Bezos this week.
'Jeff Bezos is the second-richest man in the world yet is reported to pay a 1.1 percent true tax rate,' the two groups said in a joint statement. 'The multi-million-dollar wedding is reportedly happening over three days, with the wedding ring alone worth as much as $5million.'
A spokesperson from Everyone Hates Elon said: 'As governments talk about hard choices and struggle to fund public services, Jeff Bezos can afford to shut down half a city for days on end just to get married.'
However, Venice mayor Luigi Brugnaro and regional governor Luca Zaia have spoken out in favour of the nuptials, which have been dubbed, 'the wedding of the century,' pointing out that the celebrations are expected to bring $23-34million to local businesses.
'This is a city that handles 150,000 people a day,' Zaia told Italian daily Corriere della Sera. 'George Clooney, François-Henri Pinault and Salma Hayek, Alexandre Arnault, Elton John and many others got married here.'
Bezos has also pledged to make sizable charity donations, including $1.16million to Corila - an academic consortium dedicated to studying Venice's lagoon ecosystem - according to Corriere della Sera and Italy's ANSA news agency.

Wedding mystery surfaces as Bezos arrives in Venice

Jeff Bezos arrived in Venice on Wednesday for his three-day wedding celebration as protests against the Amazon tycoon continued and town hall officials revealed he had not registered to marry in the city. Bezos, 61, and his bride-to-be, the journalist Lauren Sánchez, 55, waved from a water taxi when they arrived at Aman Venice hotel overlooking the Grand Canal. A canopy was erected on a floating dock to allow guests to disembark out of sight of photographers. Luxury yachts and an estimated 95 private jets are bringing in the couple's 200 guests — reportedly including Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio and Sir Mick Jagger — to the wedding, which is said to have cost about $50 million. President Trump's daughter Ivanka, her husband, Jared Kushner, and their three children arrived on Tuesday, prompting authorities to beef up security, helped by a €13,500 contribution from Bezos for police overtime, a town hall source said.

Arsenal legend is a surprise guest at Aaron Ramsdale's wedding celebrations as former Gunners goalkeeper parties with wife Georgina

An Arsenal legend was a surprise guest at Aaron Ramsdale 's wedding celebrations in Italy - two years after he married wife Georgina. Ramsdale married Georgina Irwin, who was pregnant at the time, at a London registry office in June 2023, with the former England star taking to Instagram to reveal he'd tied the knot with the British Airways stewardess. It was an intimate ceremony at the time, and celebrations have only taken place properly this summer after Ramsdale spent last year's warmer months at the European Championship with England. For their wedding, Georgina opted for a stunning white frilled mini dress and strapped heels, while Aaron opted for a smart grey suit. As they celebrated, Georgina wore a vail and a more patterned dress, with Ramsdale donning a black suit. In the celebration photos, meanwhile, an Arsenal icon was spotted taking in the events. Ramsdale played for the club between 2021 and 2024, before leaving for Southampton. That legend was another former goalkeeper in David Seaman, 61. He shared a plethora of photos from the day on his social media, insisting: 'You guys really know how to throw a party!' The first photo showed Ramsdale seemingly being taken by surprise, with Seaman, who was Arsenal's goalkeeper between 1990 and 2003, putting his hands on his fellow shot stopper's shoulders as Ramsdale, holding a drink, turned around. Another saw Seaman in the middle of Ramsdale and another former Gunners star in Rob Holding. Ramsdale could be seen wearing a waistcoat and a hat, while Holding used his shirt to hold his sunglasses. Other snaps showed a food stand, a group of people enjoying a meal and Ramsdale and Georgina cutting their cake. Seaman also posed with wife Frankie Poultney, who he met in 2008 when her dance partner on the Dancing on Ice tour. Seaman added: 'Proper wedding!' The duo bonded during Ramsdale's time at Arsenal. Seaman showed off his growing bond with the now-27-year-old in 2021 when he turned up at a training session. It came just after Ramsdale had made a joke about his counterpart's age. Sharing snaps from their big day on social media two years ago, meanwhile, the sports star captioned his post: 'Mr & Mrs. 20.06.23.' Images from the couple's wedding included the moment they were declared husband and wife, and a slew of group snaps with their family following the ceremony. The couple announced that they were expecting their first child together soon before the wedding, with Ramsdale posting footage on Instagram showing a positive test on top of a baby outfit, with the words 'I love you so much Daddy' adorably stitched onto it. He joined a group to celebrate the Ramsdales in Italy - two years on from their wedding ceremony Also in the pictures shared was a food cart - seemingly ice cream - and Ramsdale and Georgina enjoying cake His on-field career is uncertain after he signed a four-year deal with Southampton last summer before they were relegated The clip then showed him beaming upon hearing the news before he raced across the room to jump across the bed and embrace Georgina. Later, a shot of their baby scan was shown, before the couple posed in front of the camera with Georgina showing off her growing bump. In October 2023, the duo welcomed their son, Ronnie, into the world. On the field, Ramsdale's future is unclear after he was relegated from the Premier League with Southampton last season.

Why Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos' wedding week got off to 'risky' start with foam party

Amazon tycoon Jeff Bezos will finally wed Lauren Sanchez this week in Venice, Italy - but things could already be off to a rocky start after they kicked off the festivities with a foam party on their yacht. The couple were seen having a blast on Bezos' $500 million Koru yacht, covered in foam as they playfully lathered themselves while in skimpy swimwear to keep cool in the Italian heat. The multi-day-long extravaganza of celebrations are set for this week as the couple tie the knot in front of a rumored 200 guests, which include Kim Kardashian, Ivanka Trump and Orlando Bloom. Both Ivanka and her family, as well as designer Diane von Furstenberg were seen arriving in Venice yesterday for what's been dubbed as the wedding of the year. The couple are said to have rented out a number of places in the Italian city to celebrate the lavish, love-filled weekend. However, they've already had to move locations due to safety concerns amid protests - originally, they had planned a huge party planned at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia on Saturday night but it has now been moved to another venue in the Arsenale area of the city, according to local media. Although the big day isn't even here yet, the two already seem to be enjoying themselves as they partied it up at their foam extravaganza - but according to doctors - who had no knowledge of this specific party - it was a dangerous choice before their wedding. Dr. Michael Eng, an orthopedic surgeon at Hoag Orthopedic Institute in California, told exclusively that foam parties can be 'scary' because of all the slipping and sliding that happens, potentially causing bodily injury. 'In the process of catching yourself or trying to hold on to something, even the tiniest amount of slip can cause a sudden jolt in the body,' Dr. Eng explained to 'Catching yourself mid slip can tweak your spine, potentially leading to discomfort or worse,' he said. Dr. Eng shared that he was less concerned about someone taking a fall, but more about the strange movements we can make with our bodies when we try to prevent ourselves from slipping. 'What could be worse than being on a yacht with all of your friends, and you have thrown out your back?' he shared. Dr. Rayva Khanna, a dermatology resident physician at Georgetown University Medical Center, seemed to agree that foam parties could be dangerous, but for different reasons. 'From a dermatology perspective, foam parties increase risk of irritant contact dermatitis and or chemical burns. These injuries occur due to direct exposure of chemicals on the skin agents present in the party foam,' Dr. Khanna revealed to exclusively. 'Particularly, foam with harsh detergents and biocidal additives can actually increase the risk of more severe skin reactions such as blistering or ulceration,' Dr. Khanna said. She advised that if you 'develop skin burning or pain' from attending a foam party, you should remove the contaminated clothes and wash off with water. 'Persistent or severe reactions may require topical steroids or other medications from your dermatologist,' Dr. Khanna offered. 'Try to minimize skin contact with foam using protective clothing.' Dr. Eng also recommended that you be mindful about what kind of footwear you're wearing to a foam party, if you're due to attend one this summer. 'You have to assume that the floor is going to be wet, and when the oil from the bottom of our shoes mixes with water, it's pretty much an adult slip and slide,' he shared. 'It's even more of a risk that these events are often mixed in with dancing, which is just a recipe for accidents. Wear shoes that have as good of a grip as you can find, swimming shoes could actually be a life saver in these situations,' he added. The orthopedic surgeon also recommend that those who already have back and spine issues move slowly and stay away from the center of the dance floor. Now, it's unclear if the couple will be hosting any other foam parties this weekend, but it seems like anything's possible for Sánchez and Bezos during the biggest time of their lives. It was recently revealed to the Daily Mail by a source in Italy that each guest will be receiving hand-blown glassware by local glassmaker Laguna B. The glassware company was originally created by Marie Brandolini, who left New York in 1988 to live in Venice. All of the glasses have different motifs and designs, with one large-size cup running customers $167. The handmade glassware are not the only things that guests will be coming back home with. The insider told Daily Mail that a wedding planner who is not working this event has heard that guests will receive other 'opulent' gifts for attending. But of course, guests will also be treated to a few other luxurious surprises during their time in Italy for the wedding. The source confirmed to the Daily Mail that local bakery Rosa Salva Venetia will be providing pastries for the extravagant weekend. Separate sources recently told the Daily Mail that the festivities are expected to cost $20 million. Many things went into the estimate of the total cost, including transportation fees, her wedding dress and catering.
