iQOO Z10R 5G launched in India with MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor: Price, features and more
Pricing starts at ₹ 19,499 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and goes up to ₹ 23,499 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant. A ₹ 2,000 discount is available via select bank cards or in exchange deals, bringing the effective starting price down to ₹ 17,499. No-cost EMI options for up to six months are also on offer.
The Z10R 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor and offers up to 12GB of RAM. It runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 and is slated to receive two years of Android updates alongside three years of security patches.
The device features a 6.77-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. The screen has a quad-curved design, and the phone itself weighs 183.5g with a thickness of 7.3mm.
On the camera front, the Z10R 5G houses a dual rear camera system consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), paired with a 2MP depth sensor. The front sports a 32MP selfie camera capable of 4K video recording. The device also supports various AI tools, including AI Erase 2.0, AI Note Assist, Photo Enhance, AI Screen Translation, and Circle to Search.
Thermal regulation is handled through a 13,690mm² graphite cooling system with ten temperature sensors. For connectivity, the phone supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BeiDou, QZSS), and a USB Type-C port. The in-display fingerprint sensor and a range of onboard sensors, including a gyroscope and e-compass, are also present.
The Z10R 5G carries a 5,700mAh battery with 44W fast charging. iQOO claims the battery can reach 50 per cent in 33 minutes, offering up to 26 hours of YouTube playback or 9 hours of gaming. The device also meets IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and has received the SGS five-star anti-fall certification along with MIL-STD-810H durability testing.

Every third smartphone US imports is now made in India as China's share declines

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Despite smartphones being India's top export to the US by value, US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose a 25 per cent tariff on Indian-made iPhones. According to the US International Trade Commission (USITC), US imports of Indian-made smartphones soared to 21.3 million units from January to May 2025, a more than threefold increase year-on-year, with a value of $9.35 billion—a 182 per cent rise compared to the $7 billion recorded for all of 2024. In May, Apple CEO Tim Cook noted that most iPhones sold in the US during the April-June quarter were expected to originate from India, where about 20 per cent of Apple's global iPhone production capacity is now located. China's share shrinks China, meanwhile, saw its smartphone exports to the US drop by 27 per cent year-on-year to 29.4 million units, valued at approximately $10 billion. Behind China (49 per cent) and India (36 per cent), Vietnam held a 14 per cent share, exporting 8.3 million units. 2020-A turning point Apple's shift toward India began in 2020, spurred by the Indian government's Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, which has significantly boosted smartphone manufacturing. Apple, through its contract manufacturers, has been the primary beneficiary, enabling it to diversify production away from China. Initially producing older iPhone models in India, Apple now manufactures its entire lineup, including the premium Pro range. Trump's pressure Trump has criticised Apple's growing reliance on India for US-bound exports. In a May social media post, he stated, 'I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhones that will be sold in the United States of America will be manufactured and built in the United States, not India, or anyplace else. If that is not the case, a tariff of at least 25% must be paid by Apple to the US. Thank you for your attention to this matter.' India has to triple its satellites in orbit in next three years: ISRO chief
Hyderabad: ISRO Chairman V Narayanan on Friday said that India has to nearly triple its number of satellites in space, from the current 55, within the next three years. Delivering 'The GP Birla Memorial Lecture on Indian Space Programme - Accomplishments, Challenges and Future Perspectives', Narayanan said by 2040 India would be on par with any other nation in terms of space technology, application area, and infrastructure. He also said as many as 12 launch vehicle missions are planned by the ISRO this year. The upcoming mission, NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) is scheduled to be launched by India's GSLV F16 on July 30. "Now we are working on building our own space station. We are going to have our own Chandrayan landing. Right now, 55 satellites are in orbit serving the common man in this country. And in another three years, this number has to become almost three times. The requirement is huge. The demand is so much that we have to build satellites. We are working towards that," he said. Later, talking to reporters, he said that in 2035 India will build a full space station, and the first module will be placed in orbit in 2028. Narayanan said, as far as space sector reforms are concerned, a lot of work is going on, and earlier, ISRO's model of work used to be service-oriented, but now it wants to grab business opportunities. He said after the success of Chandrayaan-3, Japan wanted to collaborate with India, and as a result, ISRO and JAXA, the Japanese space agency, decided to work towards the Chandrayaan-5/LUPEX mission. "We are building the satellite together, and the launch will be done by Japan. Chandrayaan-3's lander mass was 1,600 kg and this will be 6,600 kg. We are working on that and you will hear great news in another two years," he said. Narayanan stated that ISRO is in the process of launching a 6,500 kg communication satellite of the USA into orbit using Indian rockets, in another three months. He further said the centre gave its approval for setting up a third launch pad at Sriharikota with a budget of about Rs 4,000 crore. According to him, the ISRO expects the Gaganyaan mission to launch Indian astronauts into space only in the first quarter of 2027. ISRO has placed 433 satellites belonging to 34 countries which do not have space technology into orbit using Indian rockets. In the last ten years the total number of satellites launched by ISRO stands at 518, he added. Narayanan, Chairman of ISRO and Secretary of the Department of Space received the prestigious G P Birla Memorial Award.
