Gangland shooting in Spain took place at bar 'owned by' Lyons crime clan hood Ross Monaghan
Two men, believed to be Scottish, were gunned down in front of horrified tourists at Monaghans, in Fuengirola in the Costa Del Sol last night. A horror gangland shooting in Spain took place at a bar owned by Lyons crime clan hood Ross Monaghan. Two men, understood to be Scots, were gunned down in front of horrified tourists at Monaghans, in Fuengirola in the Costa Del Sol last night. The slaying took place just moments after the end of the Champions League final as punters enjoyed sat at the bar enjoying a drink. A masked man is said to have entered the bar before feeling the scene in a getaway vehicle. The Record can now reveal that the bar is owned by Ross Monaghan, a member of the notorious Lyons Glasgow crime family. Monaghan, who fled Scotland in 2017, to head for the Costa Del Sol is listed as the proprietor of the bar in an online business directory for the bar which looks onto the promenade of the popular holiday resort. The gangland figure touched town in Malaga in January 2017 after he was shot twice in a gun attack outside a primary school in Glasgow. Monaghan was reportedly shot twice by a gunman lurking outside St George's Primary, Penilee. Monaghan was cleared of the murder of notorious Glasgow hood Kevin 'Gerbil' Carroll, who was shot dead in a brutal gangland assassination in Asda Robroyston carpark in 2010. Monaghan was tried for the killing, but was acquitted in May 2012 after it emerged there was no evidence which placed him at the Asda store at the time of the shooting. He was also cleared of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by disposing of the two guns used in the shooting and torching the getaway car. In August 2017 Monaghan was further cleared of being involved in a brutal street attack on three men outside the Campsie bar in Bishopbriggs. The brutal ambush left one of the victim's ears hanging off. However Monaghan walked free after prosecutors withdrew the charges against him and three others following two days of evidence. The Record understands that the horror shooting in Spain are related to the ongoing gang wars in Scotland. Grisly pictures from the scene of last night's gun attack, which occurred around 11.30pm, show a man lying lifeless on his back in shorts an a T-shirt by a drinks and meal men blackboard on an outside terrace at the Irish bar. In other disturbing images police and paramedics can be seen surrounding the body of one of the victims, thought to be the same man, after he was covered under a blanket as shocked locals and holidaymakers looked on. There are no reports yet of any arrests, although police set up roadblocks in the area after the shooting to try to catch those responsible. The nationalities of the two people killed has not yet been made public, although local media are saying neither is Spanish. A spokesman for the National Police in Malaga, in the force's first official comment on the incident, said this morning: 'Around midnight an incident with firearms occurred in Fuengirola, specifically at an entertainment venue along the seafront. 'Two males died as a result from gunshot wounds. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made so far.' Despite police sources initially describing the two men killed as Irish and saying one was 41, Spain's National Police subsequently confirmed both were Scottish. Earlier the government's sub-delegate in Malaga Javier Salas also said they were both Scottish. He said the first victim was shot in the chest and the second in the chest and abdomen. They are understood to have been shot near the entrance door to Monaghans Fuengirola by a masked gunman who got out of a car that screeched to a halt outside the bar before fleeing in the same vehicle driven by an accomplice. The feud first erupted following a fallout between rival gangsters after a £500k stash of cocaine was reportedly swiped from under the nose of Dubai-based Mr Big, Ross McGill. The drugs were reportedly taken by caged Edinburgh kingpin Mark Richardson's foot soldiers sparking a series of violent attacks on homes and businesses. Mr Big, who was later revealed as former Union Bears capo McGill waged war on Richardson and his associates, including the Daniels crime clan in Glasgow. Mr Big's enforcers, a faceless and frightening group going by the name of Tamo Junto (TMJ), have carried out a series of fire bombings and other vicious attacks on homes, businesses and cars associated with Richardson. We reported earlier this week that a well-placed source said the Dubai-based Mr Big behind attacks on Daniel targets, Ross McGill, had agreed to end hostilities after being leaned on by cartel bosses in Dubai. However gangland enforces Tamo Junto (TMJ) quickly quashed any talk of peace as they vowed to continue to carry out the turf war. The video released by the TMJ crime gang on Friday morning states that anyone linked to the Daniel Clan or Mark Richardson remains a target for their group. The Record reported previously that the Lyons crime gang have pulled out of the feud over concerns about the police crack down. The clan were said to have been feeding McGill information about their rivals, the Daniel family, but boss Steven Lyons, 44, made the call to concentrate on his own interests. A source said he issued the order over fears his enforcers could be arrested and jailed and his family would lose their grip on power in the north of Glasgow.

Pervert paramedic who exposed himself and sent porn to colleagues dodges prison
Gavin Boa bombarded two junior female colleagues with porn and explicit messages over a seven-month period and exposed himself while on shift. A pervert paramedic who exposed himself to a colleague at an ambulance depot has avoided prison. Gavin Boa bombarded two junior female colleagues with porn and explicit messages over seven months while working in Paisley and asked one woman to have sex with him. The 32-year-old pressured one woman into showing him her breasts after being called out to see a sick patient and sent her images of his genitals. In May, Boa was found guilty of five sex offences after a trial at Paisley Sheriff Court. Last week he was ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid work, banned from contacting his two victims for a period of 12 months and also added to the sex offenders register for two years. His professional paramedic registration has been suspended and he now faces a hearing of the Health and Care Professions Tribunal (HCPT) to decide whether to remove it. A HCPT spokesman said: 'It is standard practice for a regulator to wait until the end of criminal proceedings before finalising its investigations.' The trial heard from one of Boa's victims who said she 'froze' when the paramedic exposed himself to her while they were on a break from jobs at the Paisley ambulance base. The woman described how she had been on shift with him on December 3, 2023, and his behaviour was 'out of control' from the start. She said he had asked her for s ex twice during their 12-hour shift and demanded she show him her breasts before he would move the ambulance on from being called out to a sick patient. The woman said: 'He wouldn't move the ambulance until I did. I felt completely ashamed.' When they returned to the depot on Craw Road, he exposed himself and performed a sex act. said sexualised behaviour was part of the 'culture' at the ambulance service. Following his conviction Scottish Ambulance Service chiefs put up posters in bases across the country warning staff against sexual harassment. The move was blasted by politicians who said more had to be done to protect workers, particularly women, who were being subjected to harassment. A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 'Any form of sexual misconduct is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated in the Scottish Ambulance Service.
