A masked man is said to have entered Monaghans Fuengirola and killed his victims in front of horrified tourists.
Two people have been shot dead at a popular Irish bar in a Costa del Sol holiday resort.
A masked man is said to have entered Monaghans Fuengirola and killed his victims in front of horrified tourists and expats enjoying a drink after the end of the Champions League final before fleeing in a getaway vehicle.
Some reports speak of two gunmen, although this has yet to be confirmed by police.
The nationalities of the two people killed has not yet been made public, although local media are saying neither is Spanish.
The Record understands the shootings are related to ongoing gang wars in Scotland.
Grisly pictures from the scene of last night's shooting, which occurred around 11.30pm, show a man lying lifeless on his back in shorts and a T-shirt by a drinks and meal blackboard on an outside terrace at the Irish bar.
In other disturbing images police and paramedics can be seen surrounding the body of one of the victims, thought to be the same man, after he was covered under a blanket as shocked locals and holidaymakers looked on.
There are no reports yet of any arrests, although police set up roadblocks in the area after the shooting to try to catch those responsible.
The killings come amidst a violent gang war that has been raging in Scotland since March.

The feud first erupted following a fallout between rival gangsters after a £500k stash of cocaine was reportedly swiped from under the nose of Dubai-based Mr Big, Ross McGill.
The drugs were reportedly taken by caged Edinburgh kingpin Mark Richardson's foot soldiers sparking a series of violent attacks on homes and businesses.
Mr Big, who was later revealed as former Union Bears capo McGill waged war on Richardson and his associates, including the Daniels crime clan in Glasgow.
Mr Big's enforcers, a faceless and frightening group going by the name of Tamo Junto (TMJ), have carried out a series of fire bombings and other vicious attacks on homes, businesses and cars associated with Richardson.
We reported earlier this week that a well-placed source said the Dubai-based Mr Big behind attacks on Daniel targets, Ross McGill, had agreed to end hostilities after being leaned on by cartel bosses in Dubai.
However gangland enforces Tamo Junto (TMJ) quickly quashed any talk of peace as they vowed to continue to carry out the turf war.
The video released by the TMJ crime gang on Friday morning states that anyone linked to the Daniel Clan or Mark Richardson remains a target for their group.
The Record reported previously that the Lyons crime gang have pulled out of the feud over concerns about the police crack down.
The clan were said to have been feeding McGill information about their rivals, the Daniel family, but boss Steven Lyons, 44, made the call to concentrate on his own interests.
A source said he issued the order over fears his enforcers could be arrested and jailed and his family would lose their grip on power in the north of Glasgow.

The Scottish Conservatives blamed 'soft-touch' sentencing for under-25s, claiming it has emboldened young offenders. Sharon Dowey MSP said: 'Knife crime has spiralled out of control. There must be meaningful punishments for those who use a knife and expanded stop-and-search powers for police to act as a deterrent. "The SNP's soft-touch attitude towards justice represents an abject dereliction of duty by John Swinney's government." Body found in search for missing hiker who vanished six days ago
Bernard Trottet, 65, was reported missing after he failed to return to a campsite in the Morvich area of the Highlands, with the alarm being raised on Sunday - sadly police have found a body while searching for Mr Trottet Police have suspended their search for a man was missing for six days after going hiking in Scotland. Tragedy struck as a body was found in the search for missing hillwalker Bernard Trottet, who disappeared six days ago in the Morvich area. The 65 year old had not been seen since he failed to return to his campsite, sparking concerns for his safety. Police Scotland confirmed on Monday June 2 that a man's body was discovered in water near Kinloch Hourn at approximately 12:55pm on, Monday, June 2. While formal identification is pending, Bernard's family has been notified of that police have found the body. Bernard was last seen on Tuesday, May 27, at Corryhully Bothy in Glenfinnan, having embarked on the notoriously difficult Cape Wrath Trail. A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: "Around 12.55pm on Monday, 2 June, 2025, the body of a man was found in the water in the Kinloch Hourn area." The spokesperson continued: "Formal identification has yet to take place, however, the family of Bernard Trottet, who was reported missing in the area, has been informed." They added that no foul play is suspected and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal, reports the Daily Record.
