‘Golden Period Of Public Service': Amit Shah Hails 11 Years Of Governance Under PM Modi
Last Updated:
Narendra Modi first took oath as the Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014, and is currently serving his third consecutive term.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday praised the last 11 years of governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing it as a 'golden period of resolve, endeavour and dedication towards public service."
'#11YearsOfSeva The country has seen a new era of economic revival, social justice, cultural pride and national security. The Modi government has proved that when the leadership is clear, the resolve is firm, and the intention is of public service, then new records of service, security and good governance are created," Shah wrote on X.
The Home Minister said that in 2014, when PM Modi took over the reins of the country, 'there was policy paralysis in the country. There were no policies, no leadership and scams were at their peak in the government. The economy was in shambles, and the governance system was directionless."
He said that in the last 11 years, the speed and scale of the country's development have been changed by 'Minimum Government, Maximum Governance'. 'PM Shri @narendramodi ji brought farmers, women, backwards, Dalits and deprived to the centre of governance and created a work culture of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas instead of appeasement."
Shah said that the 11 years of governance have also proved to be a milestone in the direction of national security. Naxalism is on its last legs, peace has been established in Jammu-Kashmir and the Northeast, and India now responds to terrorist attacks by entering the homes of terrorists. This shows the changing picture of India under the Modi government.
'In Modi 3.0, the new India is rapidly progressing towards development and self-reliance with the power of reform, perform and transform. This journey of making India number 1 in every field by bringing positive changes in the lives of the countrymen will continue like this," he added.
Narendra Modi first took oath as the Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014, and is currently serving his third consecutive term.
'From ushering in an age of ease of living for the common citizen to enabling ease of doing business, India has rewritten the narrative of progress," he posted on X.
Highlighting the welfare schemes like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Ayushman Bharat, and Ujjwala Yojana, Singh noted that these schemes have not only ensured dignity and health for millions but have truly empowered the poorest of the poor.
'Alongside, the massive expansion in physical infrastructure—from highways to railways, from smart cities to digital connectivity—and the strengthening of human resources in healthcare and education have laid the foundation for a new India," he added.

PM Modi helm ushers unprecedented growth, says Punjab BJP chief
Chandigarh: The 11-year governance of the BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ushered in a period of unprecedented growth in the country. India has become the fourth-largest economy in the world, Punjab unit party President Sunil Jakhar said on Tuesday. Lauding the phenomenal growth rate of the country, he told the media here that 'our nation has crossed even Japan in term of growth'. 'This is no coincidence but absolute commitment to work on policies, principles and prioritise to ensure that decisions which usher in change for the country were taken in the past 11 years.' While recalling various achievements of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) rule, Jakhar said it was a great achievement that 81 crore people were being given free rations, 55 crore had been given health insurance advantages, four crore houses for the disadvantaged were built, 50 crore households were provided drinking water facilities and crores of toilet's have been built across the nation. Jakhar reasoned that India's 6.5 GDP has led to industrial growth which has translated into employment for the people. 'The infrastructure of the nation, be it the extensive construction of highways or bridges, has changed the entire landscape of the country, ushering in progress and prosperity. A voluminous 55,000 km of highways and expressways is a phenomenal achievement.' Hailing the vision of Prime Minister Modi, the Punjab BJP chief said in 2014 there were only eight AIIMS in the country. 'Today we have 24, three times more in 11 years. In Punjab, we have an AIIMS Bathinda, which is a huge medical facility and soon more hospitals of this level will be established in other towns in the state.' Jakhar emphasised that women rights and equality were a keen concern of the BJP and the women reservation Bill to be passed. 'The social fabric of the country has become more progressive with equality and distribution of wealth and opportunity for all is a reality. The ease-of-living and ease-of-doing business has improved the lives of millions. The substantial increase in MSP (minimum support price) has led to increased income in Punjab as we are primarily an agricultural economy. The food grain purchase in the state this year was Rs 68,771 crore till date, while in 2014 it was Rs 32,211 crore,' he explained. Answering a media query about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi that 11 years have not seen any progress, Jakhar said: 'The 6.5 growth rate, the fourth-largest economy in the world, the development in the infrastructure, women empowerment, passing of significant Bills are all to see but unfortunately, if someone wants to have a myopic view then it is lamentable.'

South Indian states will be engines of growth, says Dharmendra Pradhan
South Indian states with progressive governments will be the growth engines for the country as it strives to become a developed nation by 2047. The entire nation is proud of them, said Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday. The Centre has not yet made any strategy on the proposed delimitation of parliamentary constituencies, he said, and quoted Union Home Minister Amit Shah to say that there would be no discrimination against the South states on this count. Talking to the media to present a progress report on the 11 years of Modi Government, he said that the tentative Census schedule has been released and women's quota too has to be taken into account. South along with Western India, especially Maharashtra and Gujarat, will continue to be ahead of the rest of the country due to their historical background, knowledge base and hard work. Mr. Pradhan also justified more private universities pointing out that enrolment in higher education need to be enhanced from the current 27% to 50% by 2035. 'We need more colleges, quality educational institutions, and universities. We have recently opened up the sector for foreign universities. But, 75% students continue to study in government funded institutions,' he said. Golden period On the Centre's performance front, the Minister claimed that the last 11 years will be judged by history as a 'golden period' because of the manner in which the country had prospered economically by becoming the fourth largest and having drastically reduced poverty rates. 'From a fragile economy, we have become a destination for global investments. Our digital payment system has cut corruption, and government capex has increased to ₹12 lakh crore from ₹2/3 lakh crore. Our government comprises 60% SC/ST/BCs. It will be remembered as a welfare, caring and sensitive government for the common people,' he said. 'Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have delivered a transparent, decisive and trustworthy governance,' he added.
