
Three Libyan companies win awards in Athens International Olive Oil Competition
''Once again, Libyan olive oil is in the advanced ranks in the world in terms of quality in the Athens International Competition for the year 2025'' the LEPC said.
At the competition, the Mishkah and Celine companies won gold medals. The Mountain Olive Company won the bronze medal as the best excellent olive oil. The Mishkat company also won the award for the best Shamlali variety in the same competition.
This is the tenth edition of the Athens International Competition with the participation of 630 contestants from different countries of the world.

Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund signs contract with Turkey's Ankamenia for maintenance of Benghazi University's medical colleges
The Director General of the eastern based Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, Belgasem Khalifa Haftar, signed a contract last Tuesday (8 July) with Ankamenia Construction Company, to implement the maintenance and development project of the medical colleges complex of the University of Benghazi. The Fund said Ankamenia Construction ''is considered one of the largest specialized companies''. It said the project comes as part of efforts to rebuild and develop the infrastructure of educational institutions in Libya. This project includes comprehensive maintenance works for classrooms, auditoriums, laboratories, activity facilities, the library, as well as all faculties of the medical complex. This signing also comes within the framework of an expanded plan to improve the educational environment and provide advanced infrastructure that keeps pace with modern academic standards in all Libyan cities.

The Libyan Export Promotion Centre (LEPC) announced several Libyan olive producers had won top prizes in 2025 international olive oil competitions. Anatolian Olive Oil Competition Last Sunday (6 July) the LEPC announced that three Libyan olive oil producers: Al-Agnaf, Al-Mishkat and Farm Oil Company, won gold as the best olive oil in their category in the International Anatolia Competition 2025. They were among 320 samples that participated in the competition from 20 countries.
