Over the weekend, South Korean actress Park Shin-Hye (박신혜) graced two events in the Klang Valley, drawing massive crowds with her appearances. At one of the events, the star met the Princess of Selangor, HRH Tengku Zatashah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, and shared a heartwarming moment on stage.
The South Korean star recently attended two events by the reflexology equipment company ITSU. These two appearances marked Park Shin-Hye's long-awaited return to Malaysia after 9 years. At the event at IOI City Mall Putrajaya, Park Shin-Hye had the honour of meeting Tengku Zatashah. As the two shared the stage, the Selangor royalty extended a few questions to the actress.
Tengku Zatashah shared a clip from the Q&A session on her Instagram page, revealing Park Shin-Hye's favourite song at the moment, which is 'Golden' from the 'K-pop Demon Hunters' soundtrack. The actress then spoke about meeting the Selangor Princess, revealing that she had looked up the public figure on social media before the event and learned about her fondness for K-pop and Korean pop culture.
Park Shin-Hye then thanked Tengku Zatashah for her love for K-pop, saying, 'It's such an honour to have a Princess who loves Korean culture so much.' The Selangor royalty responded to the praise by thanking the actress in Korean. The pair also posed for a photo, which Tengku Zatashah shared on her Instagram with the caption, 'Thank you, Ms Park Shin Hye, it was such a pleasure meeting you and I really enjoyed chatting with you on stage for our Q&A. We hope to see you again in Malaysia.'
The 'Doctor Slump' actress also shared a selfie on her Instagram Stories to thank Malaysian fans for supporting her events at 1 Utama and IOI City Mall. In the captions, Park Shin-Hye wrote, 'Thank you, Malaysia, I want to come back again. See you again.' It's believed the actress has already returned to South Korea, leading fans to ask the star to visit Malaysia again as soon as possible.
Perhaps the next time Park Shin-Hye is in town, Tengku Zatashah can bring her on a tour around the city and the Selangor Palace. In the meantime, check out some videos of Park Shin-Hye's appearance in Malaysia:

Shuttler Sze Fei weds sweetheart before Paris campaign

PETALING JAYA: Former world No. 1 men's doubles shuttler Goh Sze Fei has officially tied the knot with his sweetheart, Yoke Shan, on Saturday (Aug 2). A photo that has gone viral on social media shows a dashing Sze Fei in a grey suit beaming with joy alongside a radiant Yoke Shan, who looked stunning in a white wedding gown, accompanied by Sze Fei's siblings. The 27-year-old had gotten engaged to Yoke Shan in December last year. Tying the knot couldn't have come at a better time for Sze Fei, who was gearing up for the World Championships in Paris next month with Nur Izzuddin Rumsani. Sze Fei and Izzuddin have been enjoying a strong season so far, having started the year ranked world No. 2. They kicked off their campaign in style by capturing the India Open title in January, defeating South Korea's Kim Won-ho and Seo Seung-jae in the final. The pair continued their fine run by reaching the final of the Japan Open three weeks ago. However, they had to settle for second place in Tokyo. They even had a brief taste of the world No. 1 ranking, holding the top spot for a few weeks from May 27 before ceding it to the Korean pair.

KPop Demon Hunters' track ‘Golden' makes history as first K-pop No. 1 on UK chart since ‘Gangnam Style'

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 — The hit song Golden from Netflix's animated blockbuster KPop Demon Hunters has soared to the top of the UK Official Singles Chart, making it the first K-pop track in over a decade to clinch the No. 1 spot. According to The Korea Herald, Golden hit No. 1 in its sixth week on the chart, rising three spots from the previous week. The track is performed by fictional girl group Huntr/x and forms part of the film's high-energy soundtrack, which features a K-pop girl group battling evil spirits to save the human world. The UK Official Charts Company confirmed it was the first time a K-pop song had reached the top spot since Psy's Gangnam Style in 2012. In a statement, the company's CEO Martin Talbot described the moment as 'another landmark' for the globally influential genre. Composed by Ejae, a former SM Entertainment trainee, and performed by Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, Golden blends Korean and English lyrics — including standout lines like 'forever unbreakable' — and is produced by renowned hitmakers Teddy and 24 from The Black Label. The song's infectious melody and powerful vocals have struck a chord with global audiences, climbing from No. 93 to No. 4 before claiming the top spot. It has also reached No. 1 on South Korea's Melon Top 100 chart and No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Other tracks from the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack are also making waves in the UK: Your Idol is at No. 10, Soda Pop at No. 11, and Takedown at No. 63. Let me know if you'd like an Instagram caption version too.
