The fire service has confirmed there are no injuries as crews remain at the scene of an emergency incident at a pub in Burford.
A fire broke out in The Mermaid Inn which is in Burford High Street this afternoon (Monday, June 23).
Fire crews responded to the blaze and shut the A361 High Street road between Witney Street and Priory Lane.

A spokesperson for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue received a call at 2.33pm on Monday, June 23, for a fire at The Mermaid Inn in Burford.
"Three fire appliances, including two fire engines and one aerial platform, attended.

"The nature of the incident was a chimney fire in the pub, and the cause is not known at this stage. No injuries or rescues were required.
"Crews are still at the scene."

Julia, who works at Cotswold Contemporary Burford in the High Street next door to The Mermaid Inn, said: "I'm not sure what actually happened but it's all contained and everything seems fine.
"Our building is safe and there's no external damage to the pub."
The Mermaid Inn is a two-floor classic Cotswolds style pub, with 18th century wood beams and fireplaces.
Greene King, which owns the pub, has been approached for comment.
