"Feel-good" weather set to return to Pittsburgh area Tuesday
Storm crews will be out Tuesday morning surveying what could be the area's 11th tornado of the year so far in Clarion Township.
Daily average High: 78 | Low: 58
Sunrise: 5:50 a.m. Sunset: 8:51 p.m.
Any Alert Days Ahead: None for now. There will be storm chances in place for the weekend.
The worst damage being reported in Clarion County is an aluminum shed that was reportedly flipped and is sitting on its roof. Route 22 was briefly blocked by debris.
Pictures of the broken shed were shared on Facebook. Several trees were also reported downed by debris.

Brett Whitling from the Clarion County Department of Public Works caught the aftermath of the storm that toppled a tree onto a garage in Clarion Township. The homeowner also took a picture of what appears to be a wall cloud just before the trees were snapped.
We won't deal with anything like that on Tuesday, with calmer and more comfortable weather moving into our area. Highs will hit the mid-70s with very low humidity levels.

It will be a little breezy, with winds coming in from the west this afternoon at around 10-15 mph. Skies would normally be sunny after 8 a.m., but a plume of Canadian smoke will also be moving through, so skies will be hazy at best and overcast at worst. Air quality is not expected to be significantly impacted, as the plume is expected to remain mostly above ground level.
Wednesday and Thursday will be just as comfortable, with our next rain chance coming on Friday afternoon.
The U.S. Open third and final rounds may be impacted by rain, though, with scattered rain around both Saturday and Sunday.

Heat-health alert issued with temperatures forecast to hit 30C
A yellow heat-health alert has been issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), as the Met Office forecasts temperatures of 30C on Friday. The alert, the first of its kind this year, is in place from 9pm on Thursday to 8am on Sunday and covers the East of England, the East Midlands, London and the South East. Under UKHSA and the Met Office's Weather-Health alerting system, a yellow alert means there could be an increased use of healthcare services by vulnerable people. It may lead to an increase in risk to health for individuals aged over 65 or those with pre-existing health conditions, including respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. Dr Agostinho Sousa, head of extreme events and health protection at UKHSA, said: 'Our findings show that even moderate heat can result in serious health outcomes, especially for older adults, and it is therefore important that everyone takes sensible precautions while enjoying the sun. 'The forecasted high temperatures are expected to be short-lived but could primarily impact those over the age of 65 or those with pre-existing health conditions. 'If you have friends, family or neighbours who are more vulnerable, it is important to check in on them and ensure they are aware of the forecasts and are following the necessary advice.' The Met Office has also issued yellow thunderstorm warnings as the warmer weather arrives. Warnings have been issued for parts of south-west England, South Wales and Northern Ireland for Wednesday night and Thursday. ⚠️ Yellow weather warning issued ⚠️ Thunderstorms across parts of Wales and Southwest England Thursday 0000 – 1300 Latest info 👉 Stay #WeatherAware⚠️ — Met Office (@metoffice) June 11, 2025 A further warning has been issued for south-east England and East Anglia from Friday afternoon into early Saturday. Met Office chief meteorologist Neil Armstrong said, 'A weather system will push northwards through tomorrow, bringing heavy rain and a risk of thunderstorms to parts of southwest England, most of Wales, and later into Northern Ireland. '40mm of rain could fall in 3 hours or less, leading to the potential for disruption. Further thunderstorms will develop during the afternoon across England and Wales, moving quickly northwards with hail and lightning. 'Temperatures will remain high, with 26 or 27C possible again in the north Midlands and parts of north London.' ⚠️ Yellow weather warning issued ⚠️ Thunderstorms across southern and eastern parts of England Friday 1500 – Saturday 0600 Latest info 👉 Stay #WeatherAware⚠️ — Met Office (@metoffice) June 11, 2025 Deputy chief meteorologist Tony Wisson said; 'By Friday afternoon and evening, heavy and thundery showers are likely to spread across southeastern England and East Anglia, tracking north-eastwards overnight. 'With much of the rain falling in a short space of time, there is a risk of impacts such as surface water flooding. Frequent lightning, gusty winds and hail could pose additional hazards.'

Pittsburgh's Wednesday weather appears to be in the "Goldilocks Zone"
Besides the smoke, today looks to be the pick of the week as we will be in the Goldilocks zone. I think for most, temperatures won't be too hot or too cold. They'll be just right. WEATHER LINKS: Current Conditions | School Closings & Delays | Submit Your Weather Photos I have highs hitting 80 degrees today with humidity levels on the low side. This means it will feel fantastic when you're outside. Conditions in Pittsburgh on June 11, 2025 KDKA Weather Center Morning temperatures were in the 50s this morning, and it may be a while before we see temperatures this cool again. Noon temperatures will be in the mid-70s. While your next good chance to see rain comes on Saturday, I actually bring back a small isolated rain chance on Thursday and another isolated rain chance on Friday. Most will be completely dry on Thursday, and the Friday rain chance comes after sunset. Saturday's rain and storm chance looks to arrive in the early afternoon and will stick around for the rest of the day. Our setup with a broad area of low pressure moving our way from the western Gulf and merging with a Canadian cool front could bring significant rain our way. Right now, at least the model data isn't picking up too much on big rain totals. We will see. The rain continues on Sunday, with the best chance for rain happening in the morning and afternoon. Looking way ahead, Temperatures are expected to spike heading into the middle of next week. I have highs in the upper 80s on Thursday next week. The NWS did indeed confirm the 11th tornado so far this year in Western PA. This one was in Clarion County. It was an EF-0. This was the first tornado in Clarion County since 2017 and only the county's 15th confirmed tornado ever. The biggest weather story today is probably the presence of Canadian smoke as a thick smoke plume continues to track to the east. This morning, the plume with be the thickest with things improving for the afternoon and evening hours. Wildfire smoke in our area as of Wednesday morning KDKA Weather Center Smoke is expected to remain well above the surface, so air quality is unlikely to be significantly impacted. Smoke will be thin for the rest of the week. 7-day forecast: June 11, 2025 KDKA Weather Center Stay up to date with the KDKA Mobile App – which you can download here!
