Her brother Raul Campo confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement on social media.
'To our family and friends, we inform you and mourn the passing of my sister, Yanin Campos,' he wrote.
'The wake is at the Hernandez Funeral Home for those who would like to say goodbye and join us.'
Although she placed sixth in the 2018 season of MasterChef Mexico, Campos was later invited back to compete on MasterChef: La Revancha in 2019.
Authorities say the deadly accident occurred around 6.30am on Saturday along the Francisco R Almada highway.
Campos was behind the wheel of a black GMC Terrain when she reportedly veered off course and collided with a stationary vehicle.
Emergency responders transported her to Hospital del Parque, where she remained in critical condition until she passed away in the ICU on Monday night.
Local police have opened an investigation to determine what led to the crash.
Yanin had built up a sizable TikTok following, with nearly 100,000 fans tuning into her content.
Her last Instagram post, shared in April 2023, featured her posing by a classic red telephone box and Big Ben during a trip to London.
She accompanied it with the simple, heartfelt caption: 'Taking a stroll.'
Since news of her passing broke, fans have been paying tribute to her in the comments, sharing heartfelt memories and condolences.
One user wrote: 'I just heard about the news and how sad, so young and beautiful, we met her for her participation in MasterChef, but it certainly hurts to think that a 38 year old woman left like that.
'I don't know her family, but I hope God sends them a quick resignation. Rest in peace, Yanin.'
Another message read: 'Thank you for your passion in cooking and for such good chapters in MasterChef. Fly high!'
A third follower added: 'I can't believe this, I followed you since you were on MasterChef, you always seemed genuine, plus you said the right things. A hug to heaven, rest in peace.'

Dancing With the Stars fans FURIOUS as controversial wife of A-List actor is rumored to be on this year's show

Alec Baldwin 's wife Hilaria Baldwin has sparked rumors she is joining the season 34 cast of Dancing With The Stars. The full list of celeb contestants has yet to be revealed, and the experienced yogi, 41, kicked off chatter she may be next in line after she posted a dancing video to her TikTok account on Tuesday. But it was a comment she singled out that has really prompted the speculation. 'Girl can dance!! Getting ready for DWTS?' one TikToker posted with two grey heart emojis in the comments section. Not only did Hilaria, 41, like and thank the fan for their message, but she even posted a second dancing video responding directly to that particular fan's DWTS suggestion. She uploaded a video of her busting a few more moves with the TikToker's message tacked into the corner of the clip. While this isn't the first time Hilaria has sparked DWTS speculation, the timing of this particular clip is noteworthy considering Dancing With The Stars will be premiering next month. Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Hilaria, Alec, and DWTS for comment about the casting rumors but have not yet heard back. While many fans were thrilled by the prospect of Hilaria - who shares seven kids with husband Alec, 67 - joining the show, not everyone was in agreement. 'This would be insufferable,' one posted. 'Give it up!!' another commented. 'This is sad,' one weighed in. One TikToker said they have had enough of the famous family: 'Am I the only one that's really tired of the Baldwins? I literally couldn't get through their reality show. She's incorrigible.' Another appeared to take issue with her desire for the spotlight: 'LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! Must be exhausting for family members!' The video got one viewer rolling their eyes. 'Lawd,' they wrote along with an eyeroll emoji. 'Grifter is gonna grift,' another wrote, appearing to reference the controversy surrounding Hilaria's background. The prospect of Hilaria joining DWTS divided fans in the comments section The majority of the comments, however, were positive, with one even suggesting they begin a petition to convince DWTS to cast Hilaria. 'I would love to see you on DWTS,' one wrote. 'Definitely should do dancing with the stars,' another fan said. 'We need to start a petition that hilaria should be on DWTS!!' one posted. Thurs far, only four celebrities have been unveiled for season 34 of DWTS, set to debut in September. Hilaria, pictured in June, sparked the latest round of speculation after a fan praised her dance moves Robert Irwin, the son of the late Steve Irwin, social media influencer Alix Earle, and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt. And an insider recently exclusively revealed to Daily Mail that reality TV royalty could be taking to the coveted ballroom in a few weeks. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have both been asked to join, according to an insider. But the deal isn't set in stone just yet, as it will reportedly take a major paycheck for the couple to sign on. 'Spencer and Heidi have both been asked to join the next season of DWTS, and they could sign on the dotted line if the money is right. It is all about the money,' the source said. 'Negotiations are hot and heavy right now.' The couple, who have been married since 2008, have been in need of a financial boost after losing their $2.5million Pacific Palisades home in the devastating Los Angeles fires earlier this year.

Masterchef controversy continues as heavy edit totally removes person from show

A second MasterChef contestant has been edited out of the new series following a scandal involving hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode. The unnamed contestant requested removal from the show 'given recent events', a decision accepted by the production company, Banijay UK. This follows the earlier removal of aspiring chef Sarah Shafi, who also asked to be edited out due to concerns about the show's message to women. The scandal involves 45 upheld complaints against Gregg Wallace and one against John Torode, including an accusation of 'offensive racist language'. Despite a drop in viewership for the first episode, the BBC decided to broadcast the series after careful consideration, with Wallace set to be replaced by Anna Haugh in upcoming episodes.

People say I'm a Short King... I told a girl my height on a dating app and her rejection was horrible

A man who is 5'6 is opening up about the controversial way that he was rejected by a woman - calling it a 'humiliation ritual.' In a viral video posted to TikTok this week by Atlanta-based musician Ian, who goes by the username @ian3snacks, he chronicled an 'embarrassing' experience he recently had while dating. 'Yesterday, I matched with this absolute goddess of a woman, like, just draw-droppingly beautiful,' Ian began. 'I noticed that she's taller than me, which, for queer women, normally that isn't an issue, I'm a short guy, I'm only 5'6, but she was straight, and that tends to be a deal breaker for a lot of straight women, which is not a big deal,' he continued. He joked that he only checks two out of the three 'tall, dark and handsome' boxes that most women are looking for. 'So, per my standard protocol, I DM her, and I say, "Hey, you're stunning, did you see that I am only 5'6?"' he said. In response, the woman said that she didn't happen to see how tall he was on his profile. She then asked Ian if he cared if she was taller than him or even wore heels on their date. 'I think she thought I was gonna get insecure and bail out so that she wouldn't have to be the bad guy, but I hit her with the Uno reverse,' Ian said. 'I said, "Actually, I'm totally comfortable with it, like you do you, just getting to have dinner with you would be compliments enough. Or, otherwise, if you want to politely see yourself out now, no harm, no foul, I get it,"' he continued. After he sent her that message, Ian claimed that she 'immediately' unmatched with him. However, it looks like Ian didn't take it personally. 'This is not a woe is me story, I just like telling funny dating stories,' he explained. In a recent interview with Newsweek, the filmmaker shared that he likes to be as 'upfront as possible' on dating apps. 'Men's height gets talked about enough online that I try to get it out of the way immediately if I suspect it might be an issue that got overlooked,' Ian told the outlet. 'In the same way, I've had curvier women ask me if I was OK with how they look - which I always am,' he continued. 'I just want to make sure that it's clear that this girl is not a bad person. I do not want her [seen] as a shallow-minded villain.' In the comments section, however, people were divided over his tactic, with some revealing they respected his transparency while others suggested he was to blame for the woman's decision to unmatch. 'Not giving short kings a chance is the biggest error of my 20s and 30s,' one person admitted. Another shared, 'Your response would have made me want to date you even more regardless of height!!!!! She's missing out!!!' 'Ladies need to remember that rockstars are always short kings and their model girlfriends are always taller than them. I think it's hot,' someone else typed. Others thought that he may have given her the 'ick' by asking about his height - and then giving her the opportunity to bow out of the match. 'Listen! You gave her the ick with the 'if you want to see yourself out now' I'm telling you ! That's what it was. It showed you were saying you weren't worthy,' one TikTok user wrote. 'Ok, I don't think she bounced because of your height. When she asked if you were cool with heels, just say yes and go on the date. Don't ask again. You have more to offer than height,' another echoed. 'As a taller woman, we were bullied relentlessly by boys growing up so that's what might be informing that preference,' someone else agreed.
