‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Footage Teases a Big Spidey Stunt
If you've been on social media in the past week, you've probably seen some snippets of filming from the public. This behind-the-scenes vignette offers a better quality of what those people saw with their own eyes, showing not just Holland wowing the crowd with his new suit (and taking pics with similarly dressed kids), but chatting with director Daniel Destin Cretton as they film a setpiece involving a tank likely in the posession of…someone; it's unclear who, but fans have their theories about who that insignia on the side belongs to.
The official reason for this video is August 10 marks Peter Parker's birthday in the MCU, referencing the cover date of Amazing Fantasy #15, where Spider-Man first debuted. But unofficially, it's also a way for Sony to tout that Brand New Day is being shot on location, and with real stunts to boot. Spider-Man: No Way Home was dinged for its sometimes iffy visual effects, some of which was owed to it being shot during the early days of the pandemic. Those times were stressful, according to Home trilogy director Jon Watts, but Marvel's now at a time where it wants to show its moviemaking homework. Thunderbolts was promoted with the promise of Florence Pugh jumping off a skyscraper and notable behind the camera talent, Fantastic Four used miniatures and sets, now here's Brand New Day doing its own version of both.

The Fortune Hotel feud erupts over £250,000 prize money
Guv and Gurks told Yahoo UK that they had off-screen beef with fellow contestants Maz and Max An off-camera feud broke out between two of the pairs at The Fortune Hotel, the ITV show hosted by Stephen Mangan. Guv and Gurks told Yahoo UK that they had beef with fellow contestants Maz and Max over the £250,000 fortune in the Caribbean. The reality show's premise is similar to The Traitors because it's ruthless. Contestants are swapping briefcases to try and find the one containing the £250,000. One of the main differences between The Fortune Hotel and The Traitors is the sun-scorched setting in Grenada. Best friends Guv and Gurks, who were the latest to receive the early checkout card, said their rivals Maz and Max took it a little bit "personally" when they grilled them over whether they had the money in their briefcase. Asked about what happens off camera, Guv said: "OK, so this ties into why we have a beef with Maz and Max! Sometimes it's like you can be so involved in gameplay that when it is time to switch off — let's say we have our breaks, we have our lunches, our breakfasts — you can sometimes overthink it a bit too much with how people are. "So if you're going in [to The Fortune Hotel], I'd say to you, don't worry about that too much, enjoy your lunch, enjoy your food. When it's time to switch off, switch off." In good humour, Guv and Gurks had a good laugh about how they were still feuding even now. The Fortune Hotel feud The feud started when Guv and Gurks had narrowed it down to two couples who potentially had the money in their briefcase — Maz and Max or fortune holders Fred and Min. They said that Fred and Min were "lovely" people who didn't get upset when they asked them about the money. However, Guv said Maz and Max took it a bit "more personal" when they questioned them over the fortune. Gurks explained: "It was the way they [Maz and Max] were acting differently towards us. And because their whole energy shifted at one point. That was literally it." Their change in attitude actually made Guv and Gurks think Maz and Max did have the money. He added: "We were certain it was Fred and Min [who had the money] but because Maz and Max's energy switched off, then we were like it has to be them! We ran with that literally. We didn't hold back. We just fully went for it." Final edit Filming long hours for a reality show means not everything makes the final edit of the show. "I say to people that you're seeing 50% of what's actually happening," Guv said. He added: "Obviously they had to chop it all up and you're probably wondering as a viewer, between episode one and two, what has Maz and Max done to Guv and Gurks? You haven't seen any interaction. We all speak [outside of what is shown on the show] so you have to take that into account. We were cool and then we did see a shift in energy. It was never personal." The best friends were just playing the game. After that, the happy-go-lucky stars felt like they had a target on their backs but they had "no regrets". "Everything happens for a reason," Gurks said. The Traitors vs The Fortune Hotel Guv and Gurks admitted the main difference between The Fortune Hotel and The Traitors was its sunny filming location compared to the Scottish castle. Recently, Yahoo UK spoke to The Fortune Hotel host Mangan and he set out how the reality shows were different too. He told Yahoo UK: "I think they are very different games. I can see why people want to talk about them. It's Oasis and Blur, isn't it? People will have their favourites. "Ours has the sunshine and the speedboats and the sand, and the games are very different and there's a lot more money at stake in The Fortune Hotel. "But hey, it's very flattering. The Traitors is hugely popular, so, it's all good. Hopefully they'll both run side-by-side for a while to go." The Fortune Hotel airs at 9pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day just got a whole lot more intense with a new rumor suggesting that Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner is not only coming back, but possibly in his most rage-filled form yet… the return of 'Savage' Hulk. We've known for awhile now that Spider-Man: Brand New Day could throw The Hulk into the chaos, and now it's being reported that Ruffalo will have a substantial role in the film, not just a quick cameo. Banner's presence is expected to be pivotal to the plot. According to insiders, "Banner's appearance will be much larger than a cameo, and Ruffalo will have a substantial role in the film." Fans have been busy theorizing about how Hulk fits into the story. With Jon Bernthal already confirmed to return as Frank Castle/The Punisher, speculation is running wild that we might finally see the Smart Hulk persona step aside. Instead, we could get a brutal reawakening of the raging, destructive version of Hulk we haven't seen in years. Scooper MTTSH added more fuel to the fire, saying that we will 'finally get Angry Hulk back' in the movie. That doesn't necessarily mean we're getting a mindless, smashing machine, but it does strongly hint at the return of the more dangerous, less-controlled side of the character. Whether this is a temporary transformation or something that builds toward the rumored World War Hulk project is anyone's guess, but either way it sounds like things are going to get explosive with the character. While Spider-Man: Brand New Day centers on Tom Holland's Peter Parker, the addition of Hulk, and possibly a showdown between the two, is more than enough to get fans hyped. Throw in Michael Mando as Mac Gargan aka The Scorpion , Liza Colón-Zayas and Sadie Sink, in a mystery roles, and returning characters MJ and Ned played by Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, and the film is shaping up to be packed with interesting characters. There's also ongoing speculation about new characters from the Brand New Day comic arc, like Carlie Cooper or Lily Hollister (aka Menace), possibly making their debut. Production has officially kicked off. Holland recently shared some behind-the-scenes excitement: "It's day one — my fourth-ever day one on Spider-Man. You know, it's funny. Putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow. 'It's also the first time we've ever had fans on set for day one, so it's really exciting to share this with them. We've got some familiar faces on set. You know, I'm just going to do my best, hopefully get it right. No pressure." Marvel Studios will release Spider-Man: Brand New Day in theaters on July 31, 2026.

Naga Munchetty hit with 'creepy' comments from Sir David Jason in 'uncomfortable' BBC Breakfast chat
Sir David Jason has been called out for his 'creepy' behaviour towards Naga Munchetty during a BBC Breakfast interview. The Only Fools and Horses legend, 85, appeared on the show to promote his upcoming tour, An Evening With Sir David Jason, and to share anecdotes from his 60-year career. However, viewers felt the actor started to 'flirt' with Munchetty, 50, in scenes they found 'uncomfortable'. While trying to recall a story he was telling, Jason trailed off, prompting Munchetty's co-host Charlie Stayt, 63, to say: 'Come back to the anecdote, what was it you were going to say? A little story?' Jason remained fixated on Munchetty, telling Stayt: 'Yes I was, but… you… it's Naga, I can't resist, [I can't] take my eyes off her.' Stayt - who is said to be 'under review' alongside Munchetty over concerns about their behaviour - tried to change the subject after the awkward comment. He said: 'Erm, people are in, obviously, for an absolute treat. You go right back to the Second World War, telling stories, it's going to be an absolute treat for people and they'll be finding out things about you that they don't know.' Jason agreed: 'That's really true, so I'm not going to give anything away because I've been told not to.' Munchetty asked the actor: 'Do you always do as you're told?' Jason replied in a teasing tone, 'Naga, please! Yes, I will. For certain people,' before joking: 'Not you, Charlie.' At the end of the interview, Jason thanked the hosts for having him, before saying in a seemingly flirty way to Munchetty: 'Thank you Naga! I'll see you later!' While Munchetty laughed off the comments, some viewers deemed Jason's behaviour 'inappropriate'. 'David Jason creepy AF towards Naga,' one wrote on X. 'I enjoy David Jason's work but I had to switch off the interview as it was so embarrassing. Well done to Naga for being dignified whilst I was watching,' another said. 'David Jason verging on inappropriate and forgetting himself occasionally on @BBCBreakfast. Some wonderful anecdotes though but quite sad to see,' a third posted. Another user said Jason was 'nothing short of creepy on @BBCBreakfast this morning – national treasure of not'. Others, however, praised the veteran actor's TV appearance. In June, she was accused of 'bullying' a female colleague and making an off-air sex joke. Last week, it was alleged that Munchetty scolded an intern for the way they spread Marmite on her toast at the BBC's flagship morning show. Munchetty and Stayt are reportedly being assessed over their workplace behaviour, according to a report from The Sun last week. A source told the outlet: 'A number of people have come forward to share their experiences with Charlie, so the BBC has officially moved to place the complaints under review.
