Salman Khan shares his minimalist diet and praises his father Salim Khan's fitness at 89. 'He still walks to Bandstand every morning. His metabolism is different,' says the actor.
Salman Khan brought laughter, nostalgia, and heartfelt moments to the premiere episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, and his appearance has since become one of the most viewed and talked-about highlights of the new season. Joined by Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu (returning to the show after five years), and comedians like Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda, Salman's segment was packed with candid confessions and vintage Salman charm.
One particularly touching moment came when Salman opened up about his father, the legendary screenwriter Salim Khan, and his inspiring health routine at the age of 89. In a clip shared by Sidhu on his YouTube channel, Salman said, 'My dad, touchwood, Mashallah, he tells me that 'meri khuraq khatam ho gayi hai' (my appetite has gone down) but touchwood, he is like, 2-3 paranthe, then rice, the gosht, then dessert, twice a day. Unka ek metabolism alag hai. Unka discipline alag hai."
Salman continued, adding how Salim Khan remains dedicated to his fitness, 'So he has been walking all the way to Bandstand and back every single morning. We're so happy to see that. We are so proud that we have a father who's fighting it out."
The actor then delved into his own eating habits, revealing that discipline is key to his lifestyle too, 'I'll eat anything but won't overeat. Like say, 1 spoon rice or at max one and a half, whatever vegetables, then chicken or mutton or fish."
Salman also took a moment to reflect on his influence in introducing gym culture to Bollywood, 'I think I was one of the first actors who really brought in the gym culture to the industry. I remember people thought it was unnecessary at first. Now you see actors and even our legends, like Dharam ji (Dharmendra), who still works out and looks incredible."
Despite the lukewarm response to his last release Sikandar, Salman shows no signs of slowing down. He is reportedly set to begin filming a war drama based on the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. He's also said to be in talks with Kabir Khan for the much-awaited sequel, Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2.
With his signature blend of humour, humility, and heart, Salman Khan once again proved why he remains one of India's most beloved stars—on screen and off.

Though many were left disappointed by how the show ended, hoping for a happy closure, some believe it stayed true to its theme, raw and unsettling in the best way. The show has always focused on extreme capitalism and how it strips away human values, turning people into commodities for the rich to enjoy their misery. Gi-hun's final sacrifice — choosing to die to save the baby (Player 222), became the ultimate act of defiance against this system. His last words, 'We are not horses. We are humans. Humans are…' were aimed directly at the VIPs who saw the players as nothing more than toys for their amusement.

MrBeast Removes AI Thumbnail Tool After Backlash: "I Thought People Were..."
YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, more popularly known as MrBeast, has removed a YouTube thumbnail generator that used artificial intelligence (AI) after receiving intense backlash from creators and fans alike. The world's most-subscribed YouTuber admitted that he had "missed the mark" after his contemporaries pointed out that the tool was stealing work from human creators. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), MrBeast said he had removed the tool from his YouTube analytics platform, Viewstats and that he would replace it with links to human artists available for commission. "Hey! Thanks for all your feedback on the ViewStats AI thumbnail tool, we pulled it and added a funnel for creators to find real thumbnail artists to commission," wrote MrBeast. MrBeast acknowledged the feedback, stating he previously thought that the tool would be well-received within the community. "I thought people were going to be pretty excited about it, but I definitely missed the mark. If you opened up Twitter, you know what I'm talking about. I read all your feedback and going forward there is no AI thumbnail tool, we pulled it down, said MrBeast. "On top of that, I wanted to go one step further to really show artists out there that I care... on under our 'More Tools' section, it will say hire a thumbnail artist." He said his goal with Viewstats had been to build tools to help creators, "but if creators don't want the tools, no worries". "I care more than any of you could ever imagine about the YouTube community. Obviously I'm the biggest YouTuber in the world and I don't take that responsibility lightly and so it deeply makes me sad when I do something that people in the community are upset by."
