Maestro Powers Liquidium, Bitcoin's Leading Native Borrow and Lend Protocol, with Real-time Indexing and Mempool Awareness

Maestro, the leading enterprise-grade BitcoinFi infrastructure provider, is proud to announce that it supports Liquidium with its robust indexing and real-time mempool awareness to fully unlock lending and credit rails built directly on Bitcoin's base layer. Liquidium's flagship Bitcoin-native borrow and lend protocol, LiquidiumWTF, has processed more than 4,230 BTC (approximately $500 million) in total loans against Ordinals, Runes, and BRC-20s. Additionally, their cross-chain lending protocol LiquidiumFi facilitates native borrowing and lending across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana without bridges or wrapped assets. Liquidium relies heavily on real-time access to asset metadata and price floors. Making this innovation possible is Maestro, which provides indexer access and real-time mempool awareness. This capability lets both the Liquidium protocols react instantly to on-chain events, giving lenders and borrowers faster, more accurate loan execution. 'We've only been using Maestro for two months, but it's already saved us what amounts to 100% of the time and resources we would've spent building our own infrastructure,' said Peter Giammanco, Liquidium's Co-founder and CTO. 'It's hard to overstate the speed boost it gave our dev cycle.' Maestro's critical and high-performance Bitcoin data services have allowed Liquidium to focus its engineering efforts on product innovation rather than building and maintaining blockchain infrastructure from scratch. It has helped accelerate Liquidium's development, saving significant time and resources. This collaboration marks a major step toward enabling Bitcoin-native innovation. With an accelerated development cycle, LiquidiumWTF recently introduced innovative Instant Loans, allowing users for the first time to borrow BTC using assets like Ordinals or Runes as collateral via lender-funded vaults on Layer 1. Meanwhile, their second protocol, LiquidiumFi, is rolling out Cross-Chain Loans, which allow users to lock native BTC on Bitcoin and borrow stablecoins like USDT on Ethereum. It leverages the Internet Computer Protocol's (ICP) Chain Fusion technology, which enables secure programmable access to Bitcoin without wrapping. Maestro Co-Founder & CEO Marvin Bertin said, 'The vast majority of Bitcoin is still sitting idle in wallets. Liquidium is bringing real capital efficiency without compromising on decentralization. At Maestro, we're proud to support Liquidium and bring real DeFi natively to Bitcoin.' Having processed billions of API calls and powering over 250 applications, Maestro is a foundational infrastructure provider for BitcoinFi. It is purpose-built for enterprise-scale security and compliance. By unlocking yield opportunities without bridging or wrapping Bitcoin-native assets, Liquidium is doing for the BitcoinFi ecosystem what Aave did to Ethereum. It enables the productive use of idle Bitcoin by transforming Ordinals, Runes, and BRC-20s into collateral for real BTC loans. Empowered by Maestro's high-performance Bitcoin data services, Liquidium is unlocking the full potential of the BitcoinFi economy. About Maestro Maestro is the first enterprise-grade infrastructure provider tailor-made for Bitcoin DeFi. Its mission is to accelerate the world's transition to the Bitcoin Economy by delivering a comprehensive, scalable infrastructure stack optimized for on-chain finance. By empowering developers and businesses with robust software tooling, Maestro is setting a new standard for how financial applications are built on Bitcoin, fueling the evolution of a decentralized, blockchain-native financial system. Learn more: About Liquidium The Liquidium Foundation oversees two pioneering decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, both governed by the community through the $LIQ token. LiquidiumWTF is the leading lending and borrowing protocol on Bitcoin L1, specializing in native assets like Ordinals, Runes, and BRC-20s, and has facilitated over $500 million in volume. Liquidium stands as one of the first native cross-chain protocols for borrowing and lending, with Bitcoin as its core. Together, these protocols, under the governance of $LIQ holders, are at the forefront of shaping the future of decentralized finance on the Bitcoin network and beyond.

Schreiner develops RFID-Labels to digitalise medication management

Schreiner MediPharm, in partnership with Bluesight, has developed its smart 'RFID-Labels' for enhanced safety and efficiency in the healthcare sector. The labels are designed to work with Bluesight's KitCheck systems, offering precise drug tracking and reducing medication errors. They are tailored to meet the demands of KitCheck Scanning Stations, ensuring reliable detection of drug containers. KitCheck has been adopted by 900 North American hospitals, capturing over 325 million units of injectable emergency and anaesthetic drugs. The RFID-Labels are engineered for durability and can be integrated into pharmaceutical production processes. Their robust structure shields the chip from mechanical damage and functional failures, making them suitable for high-speed labelling systems. They are also designed to adhere to containers with small radii such as vials and syringes, and offer additional features such as hangers, removable documentation labels, and tamper-evident seals. The RFID-Labels are automatically scanned at KitCheck Scanning Stations using Bluesight's tracking software. This system not only identifies the drug but also captures critical data such as batch numbers, expiration dates, and indications of tampering or previous use. The labels' digital first-opening indication feature allows for monitoring the integrity of containers at the unit level. Schreiner MediPharm RFID/NFC solutions senior product manager Sebastian Münscher said: 'Standardised and reliable RFID labelling of pharmaceutical products improves workflow, helps reduce medication errors, and enhances patient safety.' Schreiner MediPharm has also developed a smart packaging solution to track syringes administered in clinical trials. The new Smart Syringe Box allows digital tracking and temperature monitoring in clinical trials. It integrates technology, safety, and efficiency, which Schreiner says sets new standards for digital applications in clinical research settings. "Schreiner develops RFID-Labels to digitalise medication management " was originally created and published by Packaging Gateway, a GlobalData owned brand.
