At least one person has died and the death toll is expected to rise after a ferry burst into flames off the coast of Indonesia. On Sunday, July 20, the KM Barcelona VA vessel was traveling between the Talaud Islands and Manado when it caught fire at approximately 12:00 p.m. local time, near Talisei Island, local news outlets IDN Times and Jakarta Globe reported. The ferry was carrying 280 passengers at the time of the blaze, according to the outlets. The cause of the fire has not been disclosed at this time.

Here's our list of activities to do once you exit the ferry. Passengers can bring cars onto the ferry, which, of course, will give them many more options of where and what to do in each city. We'll keep our list to things folks can do on foot, after taking the four-hour cruise across Lake Michigan. This is not an inclusive list, but should be a good start! The S.S. Badger's season runs through Oct. 12, and its overnight cruises run through Sept. 1. Learn more or make a reservation at Dine outdoors: These are our picks for great outdoor dining in Manitowoc and Two Rivers Things to do in Ludington, Michigan Here are some things to do in Ludington, Michigan, a city with a population of 7,597 that's a nearly four-hour drive from Detroit: Check out Waterfront Park — Nestled between two marinas and the car ferry dock, this family-friendly park has a playground and picnic tables near the small Pere Marquette Lake. Take a walk along the pathways to see nine bronzed sculptures and come back at night for summer concerts. Walk to a variety of restaurants — These include Blu Moon Bistro, Brenda's Harbor Café, Jamesport Brewing Company, Ludington Bay Brewing Company or the Q Smokehouse on South James Street. A busy city centre road has been closed after a fire broke out in the early hours. Broad Street in Wolverhampton has been shut in both directions from A4150 Ring Road St Patricks to Princes Square as firefighters tackle the blaze. Cres were called to the scene at around 4.30am on Monday, July 28. READ MORE: Great Bridge fire update as crews remain at scene almost 24-hours on A Staffordshire and West Midlands Fire Control spokesperson said the fire was "outside" and three crews remained at the scene at around 8.50am. West Midlands Fire Service has been approached for more information. National Express West Midlands took to X at 6.30am to warn passengers of "service disruption". The post read: "Ongoing incident closing Broad Street, Wolverhampton. "Services will be using Lichfield Street and Fryer Street in both directions "Apologies for any disruption to your journey." An update on traffic monitoring site Inrix just after 7.30am said: "Broad Street both ways closed due to police incident from A4150 Ring Road St Patricks to Princes Square. "Traffic is coping well. Mechanical problem shuts down Via Rail train en route from Halifax to Montreal

One-hundred seventy-five passengers on a Via Rail train travelling from Halifax to Montreal were forced to disembark in a central Nova Scotia community on Sunday after The Ocean experienced mechanical issues. The train departed Halifax late this morning, but had a mechanical issue outside of Truro, N.S., early this afternoon. Truro is roughly 100 kilometres north of Halifax. Passenger Luke Thompson and his wife were heading to Amherst, N.S., with their six children after a weekend visit to see family in Halifax. He said passengers first realized there was a problem when the train stopped for about 30 minutes outside of Truro. The rail car he was in lost air conditioning. "They made sure we were well taken care of," Thompson said, noting they were given sandwiches free of charge. After the delay, the train managed to get to Truro, where passengers got off. Thompson said he was impressed with the crew's focus on safety. What Via Rail is saying In a statement, Via Rail said it arranging for passengers who embarked in Halifax to get to their destinations by bus. It said other passengers who were set to board the train after Truro have been told it is cancelled and will receive a full refund and a travel credit. Thompson said his family was told they could get a full refund and arrange their own transportation. Via's website also says that customers who await a transportation option from Via get a 50 per cent refund as well. Thompson said after a four-hour wait, a bus was set to arrive to take his family to Truro. "You can't pull buses out of thin air," he said.
