Russo off to Villa! Alessia's brother Giorgio is Love Island bombshell
Giorgio Russo has joined the ITV2 reality show, based in a Majorcan villa, as one of four new 'bombshells'.
Alessia has begun preparations for the European Championship, with England taking on France in their first game on July 5, but Giorgio may not be able to see his sister in action as he begins his journey on the TV show.
The Lionesses have gathered at St George's Park for their Euros camp and most of them found out the news on Monday morning.
Le Tissier admitted she does not watch the show but will tune in to see Alessia's brother.
She said: 'That's the only question I've been asked so far! I walked into SGP (St George's Park) this morning and Alessia just went like that (showed the phone about her brother heading into the villa).
'I was so shocked. I was so buzzing for Giorgio. He's such a lovely guy and such a great family, so hopefully he does well out there and he enjoys himself.
'It's cool. I haven't watched it yet, but I'm going to watch it now.'
Giorgio was over in Portugal to cheer his sister on in the Champions League final as Arsenal beat Barcelona to lift the trophy but will not be present to do the same in Switzerland if he lasts long enough on the show.

Alessia's Arsenal team-mate Beth Mead said all the players will be sitting together to watch the show.
Mead told Sky Sports: 'I was excited for him. I love Giorgio, he's a good boy and I'm looking forward to seeing what he gets up to in the villa.
'We're all going to sit together tonight and watch the 'bombshell' bombshell, so excited for that one.'
Another Lionesses team-mate, Grace Clinton, joked about Giorgio missing the Euros.
She said: 'I will be watching, I will definitely be watching that.
'We're going to have it on in the meeting room tonight. I'm only joking. No, it's exciting, it's funny.
'I think Alessia finds it funny. He clearly won't be coming to Switzerland I take it?'

The Reds icon helped deliver Champions League glory in 2005 and throughout his time at Anfield, under several different managers, was able to excel in a number of different midfield positions with Valverde's versatility also proving a huge asset for Real. The Spanish manager said: "I haven't seen many players with his physical performance. He reminds me of someone like Steven Gerrard. He can play anywhere, and I'm very happy to be coaching him. All coaches would like to have a Valverde on the team. He got rid of the bad taste in his mouth from the penalty the other day today, and his determination was evident in his celebration." Valverde moved to Real from Penarol in his homeland when he was still a teenager and has gone on to play more than 300 times for Los Blancos. During that period he has won La Liga three times and the European Cup on two occasions. Real are currently in Club World Cup action and, after an underwhelming draw in their first match with Al-Hilal, they saw off Pachuca with Valverde among the scorers. Alonso arrives having previously led Bayer Leverkusen to the German title but maintained his style won't be implemented overnight. He said: "There are many, but the main thing is to develop an understanding so we can recognise ourselves in each match. That takes time. We also want to develop the culture of using context. We need that game intelligence, and today we had to change quickly. After the hydration break, we talked, and from then on, we played a great game." Lionesses star Lucy Bronze reveals England's tactic for dealing with the pressure of defending their European Championship crown
Rebranding Sarina Wiegman 's Women's Euro 2025 squad as a 'new England' will help the roster manage the pressure of defending their title, claims Lucy Bronze. The right back, who spoke to Women's Health UK ahead of her seventh major tournament, is a Lionesses legend and is one of 13 players in Wiegman's 23-strong group that won the Euros in 2022. But the reigning champions' preparations for next month's tournament in Switzerland have been less than ideal. Mary Earps and Fran Kirby have both retired from international football, while Millie Bright also made herself unavailable for selection, saying she is unable to give '100 per cent mentally or physically'. It means that a different England will take to the field in their opener against France on July 5 and Bronze, who is coming off another trophy-laden season - this time with Chelsea - has opened up on the ways in which the new-look roster is dealing with the pressure of being defending champions. 'What we've spoken about [as a team] is that we admire what we've done in the past, being the Euros winners,' said the 33-year-old. 'But we're a 'new England' going into this and we'll create our own history. There are people going to the Euros and it'll be their first ever tournament wearing an England shirt. You want them to enjoy that. 'And I think taking away that pressure is a great way for them to do it…I'm always thinking about the Euros. I can't not think about it. Everything I do is to play in the Euros and win the Euros. 'Though people who know me know that I am a little bit obsessed.' England's most decorated player is keen to add to a trophy cabinet of gargantuan proportions. Five Champions League titles, four Women's Super League crowns and the 2022 European Championship are among her most prized team accolades, though that list neglects her domestic honours in France and Spain or the multitude of individual awards she has received during her professional career. Yet, the thing she has received most attention for - from the public, at least - was her brave decision to go public on her autism and ADHD diagnosis earlier this year. The 2019 Ballon d'Or runner-up sat down with former Lionesses star Alex Scott and discussed the impact the diagnoses have had on her life inside and out of the sport. 'Doing that interview is the biggest reaction I've ever had to anything I've ever done in my whole career,' she added. 'Even winning things football-wise or getting a degree or anything that I've done that I've had success with wouldn't come close to the reaction I had from that…In a [recent game] a little kid ran up to me and said, "You're my idol, because I'm autistic and I have ADHD and I'm so proud of you for speaking about it." 'I thought, "He's proud of me?! He's seven!" Because he's seen someone else [with neurodivergent traits], he thought it was really cool.' Bronze will be hoping to continue to inspire with her performances this summer. In spite of the noise surrounding the team, the Lionesses remain one of the best sides on the continent and retain several key players with winning experience. Success three years ago appeared to spark serious change for women's football in this country and Bronze is a firm believer that the sport has the power to change hearts and minds outside of it. She added: 'When we won the Euros, it was empowering to so many women who didn't even like football. Seeing women succeed in "a man's game" or "a man's world" gave [a feeling of] confidence and achievement. 'And for the men who loved football, but who maybe had a bit of underlying misogyny, they were like, "Do you know what, we love football and we're so proud of these girls." I think football can help change society.'

Gareth Bale stuns nation with bid to buy football team close to his heart
Gareth Bale has confirmed he is leading a consortium that is interested in buying Cardiff City and wants to be "part of growing the club" Gareth Bale has confirmed his role in leading a consortium with the aim of purchasing Cardiff City, expressing his desire to elevate his boyhood club back to the Premier League. The Welsh football icon shared his grand vision while attending the premiere of F1 The Movie, marking the first time he's spoken publicly about his intentions to acquire the Bluebirds. It emerged last week through Wales Online that Bale's consortium had made an offer to Cardiff owner Vincent Tan, which was turned down. Since then, speculation has been rife that Bale's public association with the bid could signal that another attempt is in the pipeline. Bale, who hung up his boots earlier this year after a spell at LAFC, remains optimistic about the consortium's chances of striking a deal. "We are interested in getting Cardiff," Bale declared. He said: "It's my home club, it's where I grew up and my uncle [Chris Pike] used to play for them. To be involved with an ownership group would be a dream come true. "It's a club close to my heart. It's where I grew up and I would love to be able to be a part of growing Cardiff and taking it to the Premier League where it belongs. "I know how amazing the Welsh fans and Cardiff fans are. It would be amazing to try and do something together." Gareth Bale has hinted at future involvement with Cardiff City, saying: "We are trying to engage with Cardiff and more news will come out on that in the future but hopefully we can get something done." The Welsh football legend's interest in Cardiff follows his ex-Real Madrid and Tottenham colleague Luka Modrić's becoming a co-owner of Swansea. Previously, there were whispers of Bale potentially investing in Plymouth Argyle, but that prospect seems to have fizzled out.
