Celtic will unfurl the Premiership flag in their first home league match of the new campaign after they were confirmed as champions for the fourth consecutive year in May.
Rangers ultimately ended the season 17 points behind their city rivals, although new head coach Russell Martin is now at the helm ahead of 2025/26.
Both sides have lengthy pre-seasons to come through before domestic action returns.

Gyokeres transfer prediction made by Alan Shearer amid Arsenal and Man Utd links

Viktor Gyokeres finds himself in the middle of a transfer tug of war between Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal and Alan Shearer has shared his thoughts on where could end up Alan Shearer believes Viktor Gyokeres could still sign for Manchester United despite his bitter transfer saga. The Red Devils have long been linked with a move for the Sporting Lisbon forward. He was identified as a major target for United following their goalscoring woes last season. Links intensified following the arrival of former Sporting boss Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford. ‌ Premier League rivals Arsenal are also admirers, with Mikel Arteta keen on adding to his attacking options. And giving his verdict on the battle between the two sides, Shearer thinks that United will eventually be successful due to Gyokeres' prior relationship with the Swedish hitman. ‌ Speaking to Betfair, he said: 'They've got Matheus Cunha in and we're going to see a big turnover of players in the next two months at United. They have to get a number of players out, and to do that they have to get a number of players in for that club to have a refresh. 'It's been so bad for so long, but everything came together in a bad way which they didn't want to see this season for Man United. It's a huge pre-season for them in terms of who they're getting in and out. 'The Bryan Mbeumo transfer isn't done yet and I know that other clubs were in for him including Newcastle. Whether Spurs try to hijack that if they get Thomas Frank in, which it seems that'll be the case. 'On Viktor Gyokeres, I'm not surprised at all if they get him because of his work with Sporting and Ruben Amorim before, I think that was always going to be the case. 'They're not in Europe this year, they're not in the Champions League and they're going to have to pay huge wages to get the players and tempt them away from other clubs that are going to be interested in them.' ‌ Gyokeres' future has taken a number of turns over the past week as both United and Arsenal attempt to win the race for his signature. Reports previously claimed that he was willing to go on strike to force a move away from Sporting after they went back on their word to sell him for a modest fee. Sporting Lisbon president Frederico Varandas then broke his silence by claiming that his side would not be bullied into selling their star forward. Gyokeres himself has now spoken, having penned an angry statement on social media. Writing on his Instagram story, Gyokeres wrote: 'There is a lot of talk at the moment, most of it is false. I will speak when the time is right.' Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. Gerard Martin speaks out on links with West Ham, Bournemouth and Wolves

Barcelona full-back Gerard Martin has been linked with a string of Premier League clubs, but has talked down a possible move. The 23-year-old only made his Barcelona debut in August last year and already has a La Liga and Copa del Rey win on his CV. The Spain Under-21 international made 42 appearances across all competitions, with 28 coming in La Liga and eight in the Champions League. How much Martin was involved over the last season was something of a surprise, but it has not been enough for Barcelona to be set on keeping him. Football Espana report that the left-back could be available for as little as €12m (£10.2m) and that has alerted a number of potential suitors. West Ham, Bournemouth and Wolves have all been linked with a move for the Spaniard, with the price tag no issue for Premier League clubs. Martin is not talking up a move, though, saying he is only focussed on Barcelona after an encouraging first season in the first team. 'I don't know, these are things that come out,' Martin told Jijantes of the transfer speculation. 'I am happy with my season, and focused on Barcelona. I'm not thinking about anything else, I'm relaxed.' Martin was in action for Spain Under-21s on Wednesday against Slovakia but has returned from international duty after suffering a fractured hand. The three Premier League sides linked with Martin are all in need of a new left-back this summer. More Trending Wolves have sold Rayan Ait-Nouri to Manchester City and will need to replace the Algeria international after selling him for £31.8m. Bournemouth are yet to complete the sale of Milos Kerkez, but he is expected to make a move to Liverpool this summer in a £45m deal. After 11 years at West Ham, Aaron Cresswell has left the club this summer, and while he was no longer a regular starter, the Hammers are looking for a replacement. SFA stance on Clarke's future revealed as chief makes pyro claim

Clarke came in for renewed criticism from supporters after a 3-1 defeat to Iceland in a Hampden friendly last week. While the national team steadied the ship with a 4-0 win over minnows Liechtenstein, a record of five wins in 22 games have increased the level of scrutiny on the manager ahead of the first World Cup qualifier against Denmark in September. Read more: While Clarke himself has said that there is a 75% chance of him leaving his job after the next World Cup cycle, SFA Chief Executive Ian Maxwell claims the matter has yet to come up for discussion. "There has been no conversation, Steve wants to get us to the World Cup, and we're all just focusing on that. "It's my job to have an eye on who's out there at all times, because managers leave for a variety of different reasons at a variety of different times, sometimes when you least expect it. "So if I'm doing my job properly, there's always half an eye on who's available and we'll have that conversation with Steve as and when the time comes. But the focus has to be, we want to get to the World Cup, what do we need to do to make sure that we give everybody the best chance of doing that?" Clarke has said that qualification for the World Cup Finals in Mexico, Canada and America could persuade him to stay on beyond his current contract, due to expire next summer. Reluctant to speculate on the likelihood of a renewal, Maxwell offered his support for the current manager in the face of signs of a growing weariness with his tenure amongst supporters. "I saw something about five wins in 22 or whatever it was, but you think back to the start of the Euro qualifying campaign, we won four or five in a row, and we've qualified as one of the first teams to do so, so there's nuance to it all. "People can look at numbers, people can look at stats, and you can make them whatever you want them to make, but as I said, we need to have a broader view. "When you look back since 2019 we've gone League C, League B, League A, back-to-back Euros, it was a penalty kick that we should have got away from being the first manager to get us out of a group at the Euros. "If you'd have told everybody in 2019 that would have been the case, it would have been where do we sign? "It happens, and there's bits in between that aren't brilliant, by everybody's admission, and we're not shying away from that. You have to be broad-minded." Clubs were also told, meanwhile, of new measures to crack down on fan pyrotechnics and unruly behaviour during domestic cup games. "Everybody has to do more," added Maxwell. "We've got a Government Roundtable next week. "We're working as closely as we've ever been with the SPFL. The relationship's really good, and it's important that when we are dealing with things. "We just need to do as much as we can because there's been a lot of high-profile instances, particularly towards the end of last season, that were unacceptable."
