Hailee Steinfeld, Josh Allen share one rule they had for their wedding
Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are sharing intimate details from their wedding day during the latest edition of the actress's newsletter, Beau Society.
On Friday, June 13, Steinfeld sent out the 39th issues of her newsletter, aptly named 'The Wedding Issue', to her subscribers. Steinfeld and Allen, quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, exchanged vows on May 31, and she used the newsletter to give her fans some insight into their special day.
'I'm sitting here with Josh, and we're reminiscing on the best weekend of our lives for the millionth time,' Steinfeld shared. 'As you know, I'm always somewhere in between wanting to share every detail and wanting to keep them close to my heart. But Beau Society felt like the right place to share some of the love and magic that made up our wedding weekend.'
Steinfeld added that they had 'so much fun' putting together this particular issue.
Steinfeld talked about the moments they set aside for their family throughout the weekend and how she and Allen set aside some time for themselves amidst the wedding chaos.
'On the morning of our wedding, Josh and I met for breakfast just before 7,' she shared. 'I'm so glad we did that. I don't think I could've gone the whole day without seeing him! We had a little spread, which included my favorite lemon ricotta pancakes.'
Steinfeld talked about her dress, which Allen said left him 'stunned' when he first saw it as she walked down the aisle, and called Allen 'the man of every dream I've ever had' as he stood there waiting for her in his tux.
Steinfeld's something blue 'all weekend' was her mom, and her dad walked her down the aisle.
And as the actress explained, they only had one rule the whole weekend; 'no phones.'
'We had the amazing Jose Villa and his team with us from Thursday through Sunday to capture all the love,' Steinfeld explained. 'We had a no-phone wedding — we wanted everyone to come and be present. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we made. But that meant Jose had his work cut out for him, capturing all the magic for us.'
'I metaphorically threw my phone in the ocean before our wedding weekend, and it was the best thing ever. 11/10 recommend being unplugged and present,' she continued.
Steinfeld wrote that 'it was blue skies, 75 and sunny the entire weekend,' except for when she and Allen walked down the aisle as husband and wife for the first time.
'The coolest thing happened after we got married: We walked off the aisle to 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours),' and it started thundering. No rain, just thunder and lightning. Magical.'
In the end, Steinfeld said she is 'sure we're forgetting so many things we'll want to mention later, but suffice it to say, it was perfect — the whole entire thing. The next day, Josh and I ran off into the sunset to our honeymoon (more on that later?). Now we're back, and it's been a whole 13 days of being married, and we'll be staying on this high forever!'

"It felt like love was running through the veins of every tree at our gorgeous venue in Santa Barbara," she continued. "Our family and friends coming together amplified it."
