Parineeti Chopra Says Raghav Chadha Praised His Mom For Dessert She Made: ‘Nakal Main Bhi Akal...'
Parineeti Chopra recalls post-wedding kitchen mishap on The Great Indian Kapil Show as Raghav Chadha jokes: 'Nakal main bhi akal chahiye.'
Actor Parineeti Chopra and politician-husband Raghav Chadha recently brought their real-life chemistry and comic timing to The Great Indian Kapil Show, where they opened up about their early days of marriage, kitchen mishaps, and the constant media buzz about Parineeti's supposed political debut.
When Kapil Sharma cheekily asked Parineeti if someone offered her a party ticket at her wedding, she laughed and said, 'The media keeps telling me to join politics now. They don't know that I even had to Google about being a Member of Parliament. They think I will join politics, but I don't think so."
Reflecting on their wedding, she added, 'Our wedding was quite fun because people from two different worlds came together, and our guests loved interacting with each other."
But the highlight of the conversation was when Parineeti shared a hilarious anecdote about her first few days as a new bride. She recalled how she was taken by surprise when she was asked to make halwa shortly after the wedding.
'I didn't even know how to make a toast. I had to Google how to make halwa, and later I took help from my mother-in-law. I thought it would be a romantic moment to serve Raghav this halwa in the evening. He came, had it, and I was waiting for feedback."
Unfortunately, the romantic plan didn't quite go as expected. Raghav, unaware that the halwa had been made by Parineeti, praised his mother instead. 'Nakal mein bhi akal chahiye, thoda sa toh badal dete," he quipped, leaving the audience in splits.
Raghav also shared another heartwarming moment from their early married life, 'Two-three days after our wedding, when I returned from office, I was looking for Pari and my mom. I couldn't find them, but after some time, I saw they were together in the kitchen, reorganizing everything. She reorganized the entire kitchen."
To this, Parineeti proudly added, 'Main ne Bombay ki laaj rakh li."
Raghav's mother, who was also present during the shoot, chimed in with her own story, revealing how friends and family would drop by their house just to get a picture with the Bollywood star.
Interestingly, the episode was filmed weeks ago amid reports that Parineeti and Raghav had to leave midway due to Raghav's mother being rushed to the hospital. Thankfully, all is well now—and this episode captures the endearing blend of laughter, adjustment, and love in their newly married life.

‘Param Sundari' Vs ‘Chennai Express': Gen Z Draws Parallels Between Sidharth-Janhvi And SRK-Deepika's Iconic Duo
New Delhi: Ever since the release of the latest song Pardesiya from the Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Param Sundari, netizens have been drawing comparisons to the iconic Bollywood film Chennai Express, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Social media is buzzing with excitement ahead of the film's release, with many calling it Gen Z's Chennai Express. "Sidharth Malhotra & Janhvi Kapoor in *Param Sundari* are low-key channeling SRK-Deepika's Chennai Express* vibes… and now we need a full-blown collab! Who else sees it? #BollywoodDejaVu #ParamSundari" — Bollywood Masti (@bollymastivilla) May 29, 2025 Why Is Param Sundari Being Hailed as Gen Z's Chennai Express? Social media users have pointed out striking similarities between the plotlines of the two films. Param Sundari is being likened to Chennai Express due to its storyline that revolves around a romance between a North Indian man and a South Indian woman, blended with elements of action and comedy. Even the South Indian aesthetics—think bindi and gajra—have triggered waves of nostalgia among fans. The introductory poster of the film has also drawn comparisons to Chennai Express, adding fuel to the ongoing discussion. In the teaser released earlier, a group of villagers from Janhvi's side can be seen chasing someone with axes and weapons—an action sequence that instantly reminded fans of a similar moment in Chennai Express. One user commented, 'Looks like a Gen Z Chennai Express.' Another said, 'Chennai Express? Nevertheless, Sid looks so good.' A third wrote, 'Why does Janhvi's look remind me of Deepika from Chennai Express?!?' A fourth wondered, 'Why does it feel like Chennai Express 2?' A curious fan even asked, 'Isme Lungi Dance 2.0 hoga kya?' 'It's giving Chennai Express but with new actors,' a fifth user said. Some even demanded a crossover: 'Sidharth Malhotra & Janhvi Kapoor in Param Sundari are low-key channeling SRK-Deepika's Chennai Express vibes… and now we need a full-blown collab.' Pardesiya Song The track Pardesiya from Param Sundari is winning over fans, thanks to the sizzling chemistry between Sidharth and Janhvi Kapoor and the soulful voice of Sonu Nigam. The film, which was earlier set to release on July 25, will now hit theatres on August 29. Param Sundari is directed by Tushar Jalota.

The Great Indian Kapil Show: Shilpa Shetty roasts sister Shamita Shetty, Huma Qureshi's mother warns Kapil Sharma. Watch
As India gears up to celebrate Raksha Bandhan on August 9, The Great Indian Kapil Show is bringing together two of Bollywood's most beloved sibling duos, Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty, and Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem, for a fun-filled festive episode. A promo of the upcoming episode, leaked on social media, promises laughter, teasing, and plenty of sibling banter as the guests hilariously call each other out. Shamita Shetty and Shilpa Shetty, Huma Qureshi with her brother Saqib Saleem and mother, grace Kapil Sharma's show. Shilpa Shetty roasts Shamita Shetty on Kapil Sharma's show In the promo video, Shilpa jokes about Kapil Sharma's weight loss, to which he quips back that he must've learnt it from her, joking that he's growing shorter by the year. When Kapil asks if Shamita shares everything with her sister, Shilpa replies, 'She only hides boyfriend matters with me.' Shamita quickly responds that she doesn't hide it anymore, and Shilpa confirms, 'It's because she's single now.' Kapil cheekily asks Shamita, 'Otherwise you like men, right?' to which she exclaims, 'Of course!' — leaving her sister in splits. Shilpa doesn't hold back and even roasts Shamita's dating choices. When Sunil (dressed as a girl) asks, 'What should one see in a man?' Huma says, 'Handsome, tall,' and Shamita adds, 'Intelligence.' Shilpa then turns to her sister and quips, 'Lekin tu fir intelligence dekhti kyun nahi hai? Sirf body dekhti hai' (But then why don't you look at intelligence? You only look at the body). Huma Qureshi's mother warns Kapil Sharma Meanwhile, Huma and Saqib make a dramatic entry holding a giant rakhi to tie on Kapil. Later, Kapil is seen interacting with Huma's mother, who is in the audience. Jokingly, he says, 'I got married waiting for Huma,' to which her mother replies, 'Vo shuru se aapko bhai bolti hai, aur uski laaj rakhna chahiye aapko, nahi manoge to fir…' (She's been calling you 'brother' from the beginning, and you should respect that. If you don't, then…). A startled Kapil is then heard saying, 'Inka koi mike band karo, gundi hai aapki mummy?' (Turn off her mic — is your mum a goon?). About The Great Indian Kapil Show Hosted by Kapil Sharma, the show blends sketch comedy, celebrity interviews, and stand-up, with a familiar ensemble cast including Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, and Krushna Abhishek.
