How will this draw work?
In short, very differently to the Champions League draw.
Each Group is split into eight teams, four seeded and four unseeded. Each team is assigned a number within each Group - for instance, Larne are No.3 in Group 4 and Cliftonville are No.5 in Group 5.
Rather than draw each individual group, which would take a lifetime, all eight groups will be drawn at once by having eight individually numbered balls placed in a bowl and drawn two at a time to create each tie, with the team drawn first at home in the first leg.
So, for instance, if ball No.3 was drawn first followed by ball No.5, then every team assigned No.3 in each Group would play each team assigned No.5 in the same Group, with team No.3 hosting the first leg.
Hopefully that clears things up!

No luck
Linfield and Shelbourne are not drawn out of the hat. So the loser of that tie will go into the second qualifying round for the Europa League.
Bonus draw
Due to the uneven number of teams in the competition, there is a secondary draw to determine which team that loses their tie will go into the third qualifying round for the Europa League as opposed to the second.
What a draw!
We knew it was a possibility but that's a massive tie for Linfield against Damien Duff's Shelbourne! A massive cross-border derby to look forward to. Is that the one that they would have wanted?

Rangers transfer news as Cyriel Dessers to AEK hits snag, freed flop has three options and Cortes returns early

The 30-year-old striker is a target for the Greek giants but there is a stand-off over the fee Rangers are playing hardball with AEK Athens over Cyriel Dessers - as the Greeks look to land the striker for a cut price fee. ‌ He's verbally agreed a bumper deal that will see him earn around 1.8million euros a year with the former Super League champions. ‌ All that's to be finalised now is a fee with Rangers and 30-year-old Dessers is reportedly being made to wait as the Ibrox chiefs wrestle over a transfer fee with AEK. AEK - whose fierce rivals Panathinaikos face Rangers in the Champions League - were taken over by shipping magnate Marios Iliopoulos last year and the new owner is ready to push the boat out to land Dessers. But Sport Time report that AEK hope to agree a fee of around £3.8million - with Rangers 'not at that level yet' on a player they paid £4.5m for, instead holding out for nearer £5m. The Nigeria international has been the subject of regular interest in recent windows, with his agent Stijn Franics revealing that he had as many as TEN clubs sniffing about his signature back in January. Dessers' former Ibrox team-mate Tom Lawrence is on the hunt for a new club after his injury-plagued time in Scotland came to an end. ‌ The Wales international spent three seasons in Govan but was often on the treatment table as he failed to show his quality. Hometown club Wrexham - newly promoted to the English Championship - are said to be interested along with Midlands rivals Coventry City and West Brom. Meanwhile, the Rangers Review report that Oscar Cortes has returned to Glasgow early in a bid to hit the ground running under new boss Russell Martin. The Colombian cost the club £4.5m from French side Lille after an initial loan spell but has also suffered with injuries.

Maro Itoje to captain Lions for first time against Argentina

Itoje leads a starting XV that features Marcus Smith at full-back and will be directed by England half-backs Alex Mitchell and Fin Smith. Tadhg Furlong will be given the opportunity to prove his fitness after struggling with a calf injury that ruled him out of Leinster's United Rugby Championship final victory over the Bulls. Our team to face Argentina in Dublin! 🦁#Lions2025 — British & Irish Lions (@lionsofficial) June 18, 2025 Furlong is included on a bench that also features hooker Ronan Kelleher, the only player to be involved against the Pumas six days after taking part in the end-of-season finals. 'Congratulations to Maro Itoje ahead of leading out the Lions for the first time. It's a truly special moment and one that very few players ever get to experience,' head coach Andy Farrell said. 'Maro has led the group well during our time in Portugal and then Dublin this week. This is also our first opportunity to show what the 2025 Lions are about and what we want to stand for as a team.' Furlong has been troubled by calf and hamstring injuries all season, forcing him to miss the 2024 autumn series and this year's Six Nations. If fit, the three-times Lions tourist will be favourite to start at tighthead prop in the Test series against the Wallabies. He has the curtain raiser to the tour of Australia to prove he is ready. Duhan van der Merwe is another player looking to demonstrate his fitness ahead of Saturday's departure Down Under, having been limited to just 11 minutes of action since the Six Nations because of ankle ligament damage. The Scotland wing is part of a heavy duty three-quarter line that features England try machine Tommy Freeman and bulldozing centres Bundee Aki and Sione Tuipulotu. As many as 14 players could make their Lions debuts in the tourists' first-ever match on Irish soil, among them the rising star of English rugby Henry Pollock, following his selection on the bench. Pollock – at 20 years old, the squad's youngest player – provides cover for starting flankers Tom Curry and Jac Morgan. Much of Farrell's first-team selection as Lions head coach picked itself, given 15 of his stars were involved in the URC and Gallagher Premiership finals on Saturday, effectively ruling them out against Argentina. Kelleher's participation at Croke Park was limited to 25 minutes off the bench. 'We know that Argentina will challenge us up front and out wide – so Friday night will be a tough contest, but also a great occasion for all the fans,' Farrell said.
